MacDougall Clansman Hotel

Don't be frightened by the facade of this family hotel and the old front hall, stay 3 nights, is moved by the business operator's pragmatic and sincere. In these years of severe circumstances, they prioritized renovating the bathrooms in restaurants and guest rooms, effectively improving the stay experience of travelers rather than making superficial comments. The quality of breakfast is also excellent, just do it, fresh and delicious.
The Waverley Guest House
2.9/5110 Reviews
The hotel benefits are 2 minutes walk from the train station. I have two large beds with a bathroom, and each bed sleeps big and small. No problem. There are also some cheap rooms that are common to the restroom. Breakfast is normal, the mainland breakfast is basically cold food, after eating and packing, it seems that only one person at the front desk waiter is on duty, and once I saw her returning from the outside to buy food. The hotel does not have a parking lot and parking is troublesome. In addition, there is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, which is very good. The picture is a street view outside the hotel, within walking distance to major attractions and shops.
Lyndon Guest House

We arrived to be let in immediately, we were expected. William gave us the run down of the place and room and even carried one of the bags up. The front room was surprisingly quiet for being on a main road. Had a very comfortable sleep for 4 nights. Good breakfast, choose a time between 7:30 and 9 which is pretty fair. Cooked to order with continental as well. Kate talked to each guest, at least at the 1st breakfast and is a very nice lady. Location is good, an easy walk into town. Parking on-site, enough for 1 car per room.
Rocpool Reserve
4.5/579 Reviews
The format of the Rocpool has changed since our 1st visit. Afternoon tea and 'spoons' hour are now included in the price. This experience certainly makes the offering unique and is a bit like a business lounge where you can order your drinks but a much more individual and luxury experience - all high quality treats. The small hotel with car park is just 10 mins walk to city centre and for those who like small boutique hotels the Rocpool offers a great experience with personal service from wonderful staff
High March

Located five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.
Ness Walk

We enjoyed 2 nights stay here recently. Having been regular visits to this hotel over the years, it was great to return once again. Many familiar faces, with Grace on reception who is the most lovely person ever!. We were greeted by the Concierge who was as always very helpful. Welcome glass of champers was much enjoyed. Kevin the general manager, was friendly and helpful and always around during our stay. Marcus was once again in attendance and remembered us well from our previous visits. The bar and breakfast/dinner staff were all so friendly and chatty and made us feel very much “at home”. The room as always was so comfortable, bed very large and pillows which were so comfortable to sleep on. It’s a lovely touch to have the turn down service and Scottish fudge left for you in the evening. 2 bottles of complimentary water provided and a fridge. Dinner in Torrish was lovely and portion size just right. All food was presented so well and tasted as good as it looked. We had champagne afternoon tea and it was very good. Small bites of savoury and sweet which were all eaten up and enjoyed very much. More filling than it looks, so be aware if planning dinner later! Breakfast is a mix of continental and cooked breakfast with a choice for everyone available. Can’t wait for our next return trip as it’s a special hotel for sure!
