"We were met late at night at the bus stop and driven home, where we had dinner. We were treated to honey and tea. The hostess recommended various route options. She helped us get our shoes repaired. She helped us buy bus tickets. She arranged transportation. All our questions were answered. We really enjoyed our stay."

"Basic but just want we expected.
Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable.
The staff were helpful and were able to offer tours (can’t give any feedback on them as we didn’t use them), but they did arrange a motor bike for us.
We also used there push bikes, which was great.
Lovely view of the river while we sat on ate our breakfast.
Short walk or bike ride into the centre."

"Overall, I have a good impression of the family who runs this accommodation. The location is excellent, right by the river, and the people are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was good and enjoyable.
What I did not like was the fact that we stayed in December, when the humidity was extremely high. The windows were constantly wet, and the room developed a musty smell. We had to keep the air conditioning on all the time to manage the humidity, but then the room became very cold.
In general, it is a rather chilly accommodation, especially in winter, but the river view is absolutely beautiful and makes up for it."

"My friend and I loved it here! The place was clean, the staff were very helpful, room had a strong aircon, and it was the first place we were able to watch a movie since we started travelling! This was a nice rest bite for a couple of evenings though we did connect a portable speaker to it so we could hear better as it was very quiet.
There was also a working fridge which was lovely but it goes off when you leave as you take the key for the electricity so if you need something to stay refrigerated just ask and they will pop it in the downstairs fridge instead.
We had the number of the owner and she was quick to answer and helped us with everything, from checking in early to sorting washing loads to booking taxis in the morning etc.
Good location too, not far from the old city, some nice restaurants nearby (peanuts the vegan place we would recommend). If you want to go to hoian specifically for being on the beach then this place is a drive away so not the most convenient but also only 15mins max and grabs are cheap! We would deffo stay there again!"

"This family run hotel/homestay is located on the main(well only tbh) street in Phong Nha village, short walk from the ticket office for the phong nha caves. It features a rooftoop bar with really nice view, nice (and deep) pool, and a comfortable room(our was looking over the pool).
Most of all the family running the place are very friendly and helpful. The reception has loads of brochures for all kinds of tours and they can also help you with booking buses. The breakfast is simple, but tasty. Overall, recommended."

"Рекомендую однозначно!!! А теперь подробнее. Приехали в 4 утра нас заселили без проблем. Утром приятный мужчина представился, сказал что он здесь работает охранником и следит за порядком. В кафе при отеле нам приготовили прекрасный завтрак. Очень вкусно.,Девочки администраторы помогали нам с экскурсиями, помогли забронировать автобус до Дананга. При отеле есть прачка , всего 40.0 Vnd. Велосипеды бесплатно. Ужинали мы кстати тоже в отеле (после прогулки по городу) нам приготовили рыбу и свиные шашлыки с овощами, провели прекрасно время. Чистый и большой бассейн ,который убирают каждое утро. Милый отель и очень заботливый персонал. Если я ещё буду здесь, обязательно выберу этот отель. Спасибо большое персоналу, за чудесные выходные."

"I recently stayed at Phong Nha Mountain House, and I can honestly say it was one of the most comfortable and welcoming experiences I've ever had. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They helped with everything from laundry and food to providing invaluable advice about the local area.
They also assisted in booking an incredible tour around the caves, which was a highlight of my trip. When my motorbike broke down, they offered to find a mechanic for me and even took me to the bus station to make sure I could continue my journey safely.
I could not recommend Phong Nha Mountain House enough. The hosts are some of the kindest, most genuine people I have met, and their hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable."

Rrainy2004Booked in this hotel 2 nights in the improved corner room with a view to the mountains (1 double bed). Of all the listed in the place, only a double bed was true :). The room was normal, on the second floor, with one window and a view to the desert and the neighbouring hotel.
What's good: overall clean, the room has a refrigerator, a fan and a air conditioner, everything is in working condition. The bathroom is a peculiar planning room, but everyone can use it. Water pressure is also normal. Breakfast is modest, coffee cups are tiny. And I love big portions of drinks, so I'm not lucky. Another good thing is the owner helped organize a transfer from/to Dongha for reasonable money, for which he is thankful.
Now what's bad: there's no teapot in the room, and getting hot water in this hotel is simply impossible. If you get up early, like me, you will have to wait for breakfast (7.30) to drink a cup of tea or coffee. At the same time, in the improved corner room with view to the mountains (1 double bed) the teapot is ...
And the cherry on the cake is for those who have finished reading. The big panoramic window of an improved corner room is not for you to look at the mountains out of bed. This is a big public window for everyone in your room :))) So maybe it's good that I got another room.

The hotel is a very nice view of the river and many places to sit and watch it.
We were very comfortable with me, while my bus arrived in Phong Nha very early and I had not booked room for the night during which my bus traveled.

GGuest UserСлучайно забронировали этот отель на 1 день, т.к. в нашем путешествии изменилось расписание автобуса за день до отъезда , в связи с чем мы приехали в Фонгня в 2 утра, а не в 6 как предполагали. В нашем отеле мест не было, поэтому выбрали Golden forest homestay. Гостиница расположена прям на станции слипбасов. Буквально в 5 метрах, что очень удобно Заселили быстро , очень мило встретили, проводили в отличную комнату, где мы выспались без проблем. Большое спасибо за отличный сервис. Единственный минус-плохо работает кондиционер, но сильно не мешало, т к в комнате есть вентилятор.

GGuest UserA little far from the center of the village, walking 20 minutes. If the weather is good, it is normal and you can walk. But I got under the rain and went by taxi to the harbor and then the caves closed at all. For those on the bike it is just an ideal option. The yard is beautiful, tidy, the room is cozy and very stylish. Breakfast, dinner can be in the yard, the food is delicious. Overall everything is good

GGuest UserI can 100% recommend this to anyone!! It’s a very lovely family-run homestay which is located very very well. The staff is nice even though not all of them speak English and the breakfast is delicious as well. What I liked the most where the rooms with the big windows and balconies overlooking the river and the mountains. It was incredible waking up with this view.
The perfect place to stay if you want to rewind.

ААлиса БеличOverall, it's a pleasant place, but I'd like to point out a few things:
1. The location is far from the city center, with few cafes and shops within walking distance. You definitely need a scooter.
2. The room was reasonably clean, but I encountered a couple of cockroaches during my stay, and the sink in the room was leaking. The owner tried to fix it but never quite got it right.
3. The soundproofing is just terrible. The shouts of kids and their parents will surely wake you up at 8 AM.
4. The breakfast is small, but the rental price is very, very low, so we are just grateful for it 🙏
5. The hosts are very nice, and we enjoyed interacting with them.

GGuest UserLoved the little bungalow, super clean (no bugs) which is lovely. The family who own it super welcoming and friendly. Who doesn’t love a comfortable bed and great Ac. All you need when travelling.
Even arranged for us to get a scooter for the days we was there.
If we are ever back we will defo be returning to the bungalows.

Rent here a motorbike for a trip to the Paradise Cave at the same price as they are given in other rentals, i.e. the price did not increase.

GGuest UserGreat location in Phong Nha, minutes walk to where the bus drops you off. The only good thing other than the location and price was the help the staff provided with logistics. Diep was very helpful arranging transportation for us, even on her day off. We chose this hotel because it was listed as a 3 star hotel, not sure if that is accurate. The hostels in the town looked much nicer, listed as 2 stars, but we are a little bit older and not sure we would fit in with the younger patrons shown in the hostel pictures. Though we wouldn’t have used their large pool due to the rainy weather, it was only half full of water and not usable. The breakfast included in the room price was limited; might want to inquire ahead of time.
