Our room was by the lake which the sunset can be viewed from the balcony (but unfortunately we missed it due to arriving too late). Service was great, staff have good English. The breakfast was definitely the highlight, the food was nice and the view from the venue was very pleasant. Our plan didn’t have dinner but I am sure it would be just as good."

The hot spring water contains Yunohana, which is acidic and not as slippery as other hot springs. The room has a Japanese tatami which is useless and takes up space. The shortcomings of the facilities are that the hair dryer is poor, there is no overall control of the lights, and the panel has bright spots that affect sleep. Someone in the lounge serves coffee and alcohol for free, and there is a terrace with views and tea on the top floor. Compared to the hotel, the sulfur smell is much stronger than that of Kai. The open-air bath and large bath are both good, especially the open-air bath facing the forest landscape and open for a long time. The best thing is the service. Although some service staff don't speak English very well, they are very enthusiastic. Knowing that we didn't drive by ourselves, they sent us to another city a hundred kilometers away in a commercial vehicle. In fact, the transportation of the hotel itself is also very convenient. If you come from Shimabara, you can arrive directly at the hotel door. If you come from Isahaya or Nagasaki, the bus will go to the city center and you need to transfer or walk to the hotel in about 15 minutes. The only drawback is that the room does not have a bathroom, which is more like a traditional Japanese hotel."
