"I stayed in this hotel 7 years ago. I stayed there again this time. The facilities and environment are very good. Although the hotel has a sense of age, it is still well maintained. The tatami rooms used to be changed to Japanese and Western styles. The tableware for the hot spring dinner was changed to disposable lunch boxes. The tempura was cold. I guess it was to save labor costs! This is a bit regrettable!

"The staff of Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel are professional and considerable. Their service are excellent, especially
1) The shuttle bus driver (morning shift strong man, forgot asking his name). When we arrived at Shodoshima Ferry Pier at 11:00am on April 7, we found a hotel shuttle bus, but not sure if it's the one of our staying hotel. We asked the driver if it's the one that waiting to pick us up. He said yes, but the hotel check-in time should be 3:00pm in the afternoon. He suggested us to have the sightseeing first and helped register the afternoon time for picking us instead. Also, he suggested taking our hand carry bags to the hotel front desk to avoid we carrying too heavy bags while travelling.
2) The lady staff (sorry for forgetting her name) at the lobby hall, who was very proactive. She came over immediately to help taking photos for us when she found we're taking a selfie. She also served us with free drinks for enjoying the sunset at the hall.
3) The staff at the reception desk are very professional. They helped us for check-in, explained the details of the time for meals, and provided all the information required.
4) The foods for dinner & breakfast buffet are very nice and yummy. The restaurant is clean and tidy.
Overall, Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel is a very professional and comfortable accommodation for stay. We're pleased and feel glad choosing this hotel."

"The second and first year of the New Year and the first day of the first month of the first month are very satisfactory. The proprietress is from the Northeast. The communication is very smooth and very enthusiastic. It is not so much a hotel as a home. Auntie prepared a free breakfast in the morning and sent me on the first day of the New Year. We have a few dumplings that let us feel the warmth of home when traveling overseas. The communication with the proprietress is also very smooth. On the day of check-out, the proprietress also drove us to visit several attractions and finally gave us two big * oranges. It must be praised. It is worth recommending in the future. I will definitely stay here again in Seto Inland Sea."

"1. Transportation: I just missed the last bus when I arrived at the ferry pier on Shodoshima Island. It was only 1.5 kilometers away from the navigation and positioning, so I walked there. Leisure time, about 25 minutes.
2. Surroundings: It is about 15 minutes walk from Angel Road, about 5 minutes walk from the hypermarket, and 10 minutes walk from the ramen shop, but it is sold out at about 8 o'clock.
3. The hotel itself:
Service: The store is a very enthusiastic and gentleman old man, who takes the initiative and patiently introduces the surroundings of the hotel. My wife and I are both terrible in Japanese, but miraculously understand almost all under the various explanations of the old man;
Room: Japanese-style tatami room, the first experience, I think of Doraemon’s room, there is no separate bathroom, but it is very tidy, I like it very much; the bathroom is on the first floor, divided into men’s and women’s baths, and the latest use time is 10 o’clock.
4. Disadvantages: poor sound insulation. The reason why I say the shortcomings separately is because it is more obvious. In addition, it seems that there are no other shortcomings.
5. General comment: There may be many possibilities for different hotels in Shodoshima, but the next time you go, you will still choose to enter the boat first, and no more explanation is needed."

"It's a house on a hill overlooking Angel Road, and the view is really awesome. The facilities are good, it's a nice, warm and cozy pension-like house. It's a little difficult for travelers on the hill, but if you go, you will feel that it's a good choice. I went by rental car, and it was nice to have a parking lot in front of my house."

"Suitable for self-driving, parking spaces are available (but parking spaces above Room 4 are in the corner under the house, which is not convenient at night). Self check in (check in online before check-in provides the check-in information, and receives an email two days before check-in about the room number, gate password and room lock box password; after arriving at the hotel, you will be at the front desk tablet check in, shadow passport (the light has been turned off at 8 o'clock, and the shadow is too dim to know the impact...😅)), The process is still simple, but the lock box has been tried many times and it has not been opened....Good color finally opened by the man.)
The room is large and you need to make your own bed; there is a separate toilet and sink in the room. The bathroom is on B/F, and each room has a key to the bathroom with its own room number. The light on the bathroom stairs is darker.
The Common area is large, with microwave ovens, water machines, TVs... The landscape is open, and the road to angels is seen."
