"Beautiful new modern hotel, rooms are comfortable and spacious. Breakfast has an ample selection. Restaurants within walking distance right outside hotel for dinner. Short drive to shrine and Takachiho Gorge. I would stay here again when I visit."

The location was perfect for walking to local tourist spots. If I ever return to Takachiho, I would stay there again."

"The service staff is friendly and the breakfast is rich and delicious. It is a very Japanese-style hotel, so there is no bathroom in the room, and you have to go to the public bath to take a bath. Takachiho is a small village, and the shops on the street close very early at night. You can walk to the shrine to watch the famous Yokagura, which is worth seeing."

"A nice hotel to rest after a long day drive. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and polite. There's a free parking beside the hotel too. And you can enjoy the hot spring in the hotel for free. There is a small bath tub in the room's toilet too. This hotel is quite close to 高干穗峡. The reason I choose this hotel is because of the distance to 高干穗峡 and they are the most affordable hotel within that area. Overall this is a nice hotel, I will definitely visit there again if I go to Kyushu again!"

"This was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. Although I only stayed for one night, it was the hotel I was most satisfied with during my entire trip to Fukuoka. As the saying goes, ”knowing the details reveals the big picture”. Every furnishing in the hotel, from the electronic board on the wall, the hand soap container next to the washbasin, to the soft towels and exquisite tableware in the bathroom, all show the owner's taste and careful management. Breakfast and dinner were arranged in separate rooms of different styles, allowing us to enjoy the unique Japanese and Western styles in a limited time. The meals are prepared with care, rich in flavor, and made with fresh, authentic ingredients. When it started to rain after dinner, I checked the opening hours of the hotel courtyard, and the staff immediately and enthusiastically held an umbrella to take me to visit the closed courtyard. Finally, when we checked out, they helped us take photos at the entrance of the hotel. All of this made me feel the hotel's hard work and sincere service. The food standard was also quite high, making me look forward to staying here again."

"Room size was just enough for 3 adults and 1 baby. It was good idea to book tatami as the baby can walk around in the room. The room was a bit old but it was fine and good to sleep and rest. The breakfast was good too, transitional Japanese style. The public hot spring was not good, quite old but clean notmal water. I would recommend you to buy some hot spring powder to make your own one hot spring bath in the room 😂"

"A mixed bag of a hotel. On the one hand, the location is excellent, close to Takachiho Gorge. On the other hand, it's a 15-20 minute walk uphill along a winding road, and about 20-25 minutes uphill to the bus center. Pros: - Price - Shochu tasting - Hot springs available - Close proximity to the main attraction - Kids' area available - There's a smoking area inside the hotel, but it's not covered (you'll get wet if it rains) Cons: - The hotel is old, and it shows - There are many spiders in the hotel, which is understandable given its location. Bed bugs might also fly in. - The tatami mats are old, with huge gaps between them. - No convenience stores or supermarkets nearby. - Tattoos are not allowed in the public baths."
