Please consider if you don’t like animals.

The front desk was very impolite on the day I checked in, kept asking me to stick the “do not disturb” sign on the door, even called to my room asking that at the moment I haven’t settled down yet! it’s good that not seeing them around afterwards. Although this is not a big hotel, but the environment is clean, the service attitude is very good, the package is worth the price. The dishes of the Japanese breakfast and the Japanese dinner are different for the two days. The hotel's next heart is delicious, and the partners in the same industry say that it is value-for-money.

It is very close to Takachiho Gorge and is subject to traffic control on weekends. , it’s only 15 minutes to park your car and walk into the canyon. There is no food nearby. It is recommended to come back after you are full or order a meal from the hotel. The bed is big, two big and two small are comfortable

Reception: On the day of check-in, the cold current was attacked, and the weather was particularly cold, but when I arrived at the hotel, I saw the host standing at the door to greet me, and even helped guide the parking with the cold wind. The whole was deeply moved. Breakfast & dinner: I don't know if this is the legendary ”Japanese Kaiseki” cuisine? As far as I am a foreigner, it must be! The glutinous rice is matched with seasonal/local handmade side dishes, non-staple food, etc., colorful and delicious feasts, Every dish feels the intention of the host's preparation, and the content is introduced one by one when serving, which is a very special feeling. Soaking: although the wooden bath is not big, but there is a kind of quaint beauty, the environment is clean and tidy, the only fly in the ointment is that the face paper, moisturizing products, etc. on the dressing table of the female soup have long been used, but not replenished in time, there are no other shortcomings; After soaking in the hot spring back to the room, I was surprised to find that the host carefully prepared red bean soup, not only warm the stomach but also warm the heart. Overall: If you go to Tianyanhu, it is recommended to stay here for one night. Not only the location is good, you can see the Tianyanhu Shrine when you open the window. You can also stroll to Tiananheyuan early in the morning to fully enjoy the special local scenery. In addition, the hotel's intimate service and delicious meals, It is definitely a different experience from Western restaurants.

Friendly staff and clean lodging. We booked half board which was worthwhile as the food quality was great and especially when restaurants close early within the area, saved us looking for dinner. However, there are a few time slots we need to abide to, which is fine as attractions usually are closed by late afternoon anyway. There is onsen in this accommodation, but it's not big. Enclosed onsen with no external views, and the water has some medical component added thus making the water reddish which may deter guests not accustomed to the color. The Ryokan location is convenient for walking to a few attractions (for those who enjoy walking about 15-30mins to either attraction), which include Takachiho Kagura performance (pre-booking required), Takachiho Gorge, Takachiho Amaterasu Railway - scenic train ride. Do note the train rides cannot be pre-booked, and end by 3PM in the afternoon. And Takachiho Gorge Boat Rental should be pre-booked, with time slot bookings open 7 days before.

Room size was just enough for 3 adults and 1 baby. It was good idea to book tatami as the baby can walk around in the room. The room was a bit old but it was fine and good to sleep and rest. The breakfast was good too, transitional Japanese style. The public hot spring was not good, quite old but clean notmal water. I would recommend you to buy some hot spring powder to make your own one hot spring bath in the room 😂

My husband and I are driving a car in Kitakyushu. There are not many hotels in Takachiho. I think this one is good. It is hygienic and there is no problem with transportation. Since we are driving by ourselves, I don’t know what else is going on. Anyway, there is free parking and a private bathroom/toilet. It is very comfortable except for taking a bath. The soundproofing is not very good, but everything else is OK. There is also free breakfast, although there are not many things, which can meet basic needs.

The environment is quiet and comfortable, the interior is clean and tidy, and the outdoor open-air hot spring is very much! The food is also good, all the waiters are very polite, and one of the young waitresses, although everyone has a few verbal communication problems, she works very hard to explain, and sometimes uses the translation app on the phone to help communicate, which is worthy of praise! Watching ”Ye Kagura”, because the road is relatively dark, the hotel arranges a car to pick up and give us flashlights. The hotel manager gave us soft cushions so that we can sit on the ground and watch the performance. Very attentive!
