The place was very clean. I was able to relax and stay there at my leisure. There's a small river nearby, which was great for a leisurely stroll. I understood that having a car is essential for getting around in a rural area like this, but it's definitely best to research transportation options thoroughly beforehand. (Since I wasn't very familiar with the local area, it was perfect for a room-only stay.) The staff were efficient and quick in their service.

Private hot spring I was happy because I could soak in the bathtub at any time. I stayed at a private hot spring ryokan in Yufuin, but that place had a structure where you couldn't see outside. You can see the river from the bathroom at Yuyuan. Plus, you can see Sakurajima! Advantage 2. Cleanliness Even if you walk barefoot, your soles are clean. There is no dust anywhere in the room. Even the outside of the window is clean. Advantage 3. Spacious room When I travel, I always choose a room that is at least 25 square meters. It's uncomfortable if it's small. The room I stayed in was 50 square meters. It was spacious for two people. Advantage 4. Meals I had seasonal dinners twice and breakfasts twice, and I ate at the restaurant on the second floor. It was very comfortable because it was a private room. The taste was also excellent. I was even more satisfied because the dishes were made with Kagoshima specialties. Advantage 5. When I ate in the restaurant in the hotel on the day of check-in, the diners should be guests, but they should all be Japanese. Although it is very expensive to book on Ctrip, the price for 2 people per night is nearly 6,300 RMB, but the stay experience is still happy.
