"The best ski in and ski out and Onsen hotel in Japan so far!
We loved the hotel so much in Oct 2025 so we rebooked and came again from Dec 20-24, 2025.
1. Very convenient for ski experience. Ski in and ski out. Ski rental and ski coach school are just besides hotel. Good experience for rentals and coaches hiring.
2. Breakfast and dinner buffets are great and so yummy! The food does change every night to give you diversified variation to choose from. Very delicate food preparations by great chefs so don’t worry you will never get bored.
3. Onsen is also great great great! Great view and women and men get alternate the hot spring pool everyday.
4. First floor relaxing area is great great! You have self service bar of juice / soda / coffee and popsicles.
5. The hotel staffs are so nice and make you feel at home. Motoyo-San is extremely friendly and her English is so fluent!!! We were very lucky to have her help out during our stay.
6. 3rd floor is newly renovated so pls try this beautiful room next time!

"We had a pleasant stay in general. However, room ceaning service needs to be improved. Our group of people have a few bad experiences.
1) after returning to room after the day, there was a used mask left in the bathroom. There’s also a day without providing onsen towels and we had to bring over the mid size ones
2) the door of my friend’s room remained open after the cleaning service (a 3M sticker with なすし2 sticked on wall). Glad there’s no missing items
3) another room, there was blood and urine stint left on the toilet cover!
I hope the hotel can take it seriously as it indeed ruins the brand of IHG and bad customer experience."

"We chose to stay at this hotel because we were going to Appi Plateau for skiing. It only takes about half an hour to drive there, which is very convenient.
The hotel is much larger than expected, the staff is very friendly, the most surprising thing is the hot spring, the open-air bath is super comfortable, a lot of skin care products are provided.
Free coffee and soda are provided in the lobby, which is very generous. There are also two free bottles of water in the room refrigerator every day.
The room rate includes one night and two meals. Breakfast is a buffet and dinner is a Japanese kaiseki cuisine, which is very delicious."

It was a bit far from the gondola and you have to kind of climb the hill to get to the entrance, which was sort of annoying.
A place where you can upgrade to priority pass starts working too late to actually make it to the gondola in time for the fast track start time.
We had some other things we noticed but overall it was a very nice experience."

Breakfast is ok. Service is ok."

"Wonderful place wonderful food. Just a small reminder for people who needs private shower. Here they have only two rooms provide private onsen. For other rooms they only provide toilet. You have to use the public onsen (separate sex) which is very common for Japanese hostels. Clean, nice etc. you may also rent a private onsen for only US8/ 50 mins session. Worth the price!"

"The B&B is very close to Appi Plateau and provides ski pick-up and drop-off services.
At the same time, other employees are also asked to take care of the pick-up and drop-off, so there is no problem for the B&B to go to the ski resort for easy skiing.
The more problematic thing is how to get to the B&B. If you need to take a bus to get your ski equipment, it is quite a distance from the bus station to the B&B. It would be difficult to push your luggage for 20 minutes in the snow.
If you ask the B&B owner to pick you up at the JR station, you will need to call to communicate, and there are pick-up time restrictions. The website does not explain this clearly.
In addition, the communication between trip.com and the B&B is not very smooth.
You have to confirm your accommodation by phone in person. The owner is also a chef, so he doesn't reply to emails very often. Trip.com AI online customer service cannot help.
I think it would be ideal to drive here by yourself.
I had a good breakfast and was ready to go skiing.
But dinner is very simple and may be a bit full for some people.
The B&B provides discounted ski tickets and ski equipment.
Overall, I would be willing to stay at this B&B again if the problem of getting to the B&B can be solved."

The couple shop, very warm feeling. Grandpa and old lady are very enthusiastic, and the breakfast and dinner are delicious. Also free shuttle to the snow field and JR station, get off and live again.

This inn, though a bit old, is incredibly well-maintained and clean by the owner. What truly impressed me was that the affordable price included both breakfast and dinner, and you could genuinely feel the owner's passion in every dish. The owner was also very kind to drive guests to the train station, ski resort, school, or other places, which is a really unique touch. If you're traveling on a budget, you should definitely consider this thoughtful and affordable small inn! Lastly, I saw some comments saying the owner is a bit quiet, but I think that's absolutely fine! As long as they run the business with heart, guests will surely feel the sincerity. Thank you for your hospitality! I had a really nice stay here! Thank you!

This time I booked Arts Color, but I actually lived in the main building of the boss's other restaurant Life is Beautful( It should be called Beautiful Life~), the homestay is about10-15 minutes walk from Anbi Ski Resort & Bailu Hot Spring, not too far away, the key homestay dinner seems simple, but super delicious, there is a French restaurant standard, In the morning 8-9 o'clock & afternoon 16-17 there is a free welcome (Anbi Station or Anbi Ski Resort), B1 there is a loan cut wind, just like the size of Yangming Mountain's personal hot spring, but it is really relaxing to soak after skiing the snow. There is also a beautiful and atmospheric API House bread cafe opposite the hotel. There is a ROCKY BBQ restaurant next door. On this night in the countryside, such a store has been counted a lot, because there is really no nightlife here at this night. You can consider going to the Bailu Hot Spring for a soup (open until 23:00). This is a personal trip. The cost of one berth and two meals is NT2100/day. I think it is very good value, it is recommended, I hope that I can visit again not too long.

It's about a 5-minute drive from Appi Kogen Ski Resort. There were nine parking spaces, but in reality, only three were covered in snow. The entire facility is heated through floor heating, making it very warm. It was so warm that I struggled to adjust the temperature. The only amenities provided were towels; toothbrushes and other amenities were not provided. All the necessary cooking utensils and tableware were provided, so you could cook. There were condiments and expired food left behind by previous guests in the refrigerator. There was no dishwasher, toaster, or coffee pot, so it would be especially nice if there was one.
Also, it was so warm that we frequently encountered stink bugs and other insects, even in the middle of winter...
Since it was a private rental, it was great to have a large group of people and have fun without worrying about others.
