"I knew as soon as I heard goats with their little bells on that I’d like this place. Quiet, quaint, country accomodation on the way to Samaria Gorge.
The family who run it were all lovely, and mum even made me up a picnic to take on the hike before dad gave us a lift to the starting point.
Maybe it’s because it never happens back home, but I ordered a beer downstairs upon arrival, and got given free olives - that made my absolute day and, though previously incorruptible, my loyalty was bought instantly and totally.
I also had the rabbit fry up thingo, which tasted great, although the salad itself was even better, though it curse my carnivorous tongue to say it.
The bedroom had a great balcony for looking out over the green and rocky hills. Bed was super comfy, and it actually was a little colder way up in the Omalos elevation (in June) which made sleep come very easily for those like me who run hot. Big fluffy blanket in the cupboard though for those of you who like to be warmer.
The bathroom is a bit small and being on the tall end of the height spectrum I had to be wary not to knock myself out on the hand basin when using the toilet. But if you’re under 6 foot you’ll patting your genetics on their small back.
The building is relatively old so expect to hear some footfalls as other guests go past your room, but other than that, blissfully quiet overnight.
The daughter of the family speaks really good English which helped a couple times, when regretfully I seemed to have forgotten all my Greek (which I rudely hadn’t learned prior to arriving).
I can’t recommend this homely hotel enough, so if you’re on your way to hike the gorge, park your car here and stay the night. Then stay in Agia Romelli at the very end of the hike. Then come back to Omalos the next day and get some home style cooking back into your weary body.
Or whatever floats your ferry."

This is a very large resort, and the stay experience exceeded expectations. First of all, the room is large and comfortable and clean; secondly, the overall environment of the resort is very beautiful and the facilities are complete. The weather was bad when we went and we didn't enjoy the outdoor pool; Then there is the hotel that includes two meals, the dishes are rich and taste good; the waiters at the front desk, restaurant and room are warm and courteous; very close to the beach, suitable for leisure and vacation here, recommended 👍

Guest UserThe hotel was wonderful – very clean, new, and well-maintained. The pool was fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel's location was fantastic – a quiet town, perfect for evening walks, and only a 5-minute walk to the beach.
We rated the view from the hotel highly, but only because we managed to get a room with the best possible view. It's worth noting, however, that some rooms may overlook other hotels, but the proximity to the beach fully compensates for this.
The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed – you could even cook something. The only downside was the lack of standard tea and sugar sachets, but we easily bought them at the nearby Synka market.
The hotel's location is probably the best base for trips on the island – getting to all the most beautiful spots and beaches took about an hour and a half by car. I couldn't have chosen better – I highly recommend it!
The service was fantastic, and the receptionist was absolutely exceptional – passionate and incredibly kind. Please also note that hotel parking is available – but we didn't risk it – the cost would have been enormous. We chose option 2, which offers a very affordable daily rate, just 5 minutes from the hotel!
The town itself is okay, with pubs and restaurants, shops, a Synka market, and a lovely beach for strolls – the sand isn't the best, but the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this place. Best regards.

The hotel is very friendly and is very friendly.
Breakfast varied (it is not a buffet, it serves you with the furer as appropriate)
Canada is at 20-25min in car (Parking to my beach is quite practical)
There is a monastery (3€) near the hotel, another (the same price) deeper in Canea, they are very beautiful and well restored
Balos beach is very beautiful (most from the point of view) but everything is paying (1€/person for an unnecessary road, 3€ for a parking more than average), the upwards are hard, but it's worth it!
There is also the beach of Falasarna where the sunset is incredible.

凱心果If you enjoy a short few nights stay near Chania with lots of kittens, this is your spot! However, amenities are quite hard to get in the neighbourhood as the neighbouring markets are closed around 9pm. Parking does not come easy either, as they are limited to first come first serve basis. But overall, service is amazing as they provide instructions for late check-in (even during midnight)

We stayed here with my mom for one night, and we were absolutely delighted with this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was special. The location is perfect—set in a peaceful village, just a one-minute walk to a wide, spacious beach with easy access to the water.
The room was spotless, freshly renovated, and even smelled pleasant. We had a large balcony with a table, and everything was so clean that when we wiped the table, there wasn’t even a trace of dust. The attention to detail in the cleaning was truly impressive.
The owner was wonderful to meet—so kind, welcoming, and generous. He treated us to fresh fruit and shared many helpful tips about the area, making our stay feel extra personal and warm. Breakfast was another highlight: homemade, delicious, and prepared with so much care.
This hotel completely won us over—the location, the atmosphere, the hospitality, everything was perfect. We already dream of coming back and staying longer.
