"The hotel itself was fine, aside from the lack of bottled water, luggage racks, and absolutely no toiletries – everything else was normal. However, their parking lot is a huge problem. Firstly, guests aren't told in advance that parking requires a reservation. Secondly, I'm not sure if their drop-off point is only for disabled people or what, but there's a 'no entry' sign at what looks like a drop-off entrance. Thirdly, even if you don't have a reservation and the car park is fully booked, the gate will still open. But if you don't pay 60 pounds, the car park attendant will make it difficult for you to leave, even if the hotel reception has already entered your license plate to give you 1 or 4 hours free and told you to move your car to an open-air car park about a 15-minute walk away. In the end, several guests were in the same situation, blocking the car park exit. The first guest had to go back to the hotel to grab a receptionist and bring them to the car park entrance to negotiate with the car park staff for half an hour before they finally opened the gate and let people leave."

"Good quality hotel to stay overnight before a flight. Rooms were big with a huge king size bed. Mattress was a bit hard for my liking but had a good night’s sleep. Didn’t have breakfast but ate in bar the evening we arrived. Service was ok - they were busy - and food of nice."

"Great new hotel located right across the street from the new Terminal 2 of MAN airport in Manchester. On Google Maps it shows you needing to walk a long way around to get to this place, but actually its' very easy - like 2-minutes only! After you get your luggage, cross over the two small pick up areas. Before you go into the parking garage, turn right. Follow the signs (you'll see one for Holiday Inn and another for the Ibis.) Cross over two more small streets and the Ibis is literally just there, behind the Holiday Inn. I was able to use a trolly to take my suitcases easily to the hotel but because the trolly wouldn't fit in the room, I had to leave it in the hallway and unfortunately someone else took it. Would be great if MAN made the trollies FREE, and left some near these two hotels for paying airport customers to use. (I mean we do pay enough airplane fees and taxes!) Especially when traveling international with so many suitcases... Doesn't seem fair to have to pay for a trolly two days in a row just to move luggage back and forth. Not the hotels fault though, however something they should consider putting forward to the airport management. The hotel itself was NEW, clean, nice, great customer service attitude for checking in and out. I saw a free water station, paid coffee bar, some snacks and a vending machine. There was a football game going on the main TV in the cafe area and it was quite busy. I think I would definitely stay here again. It was such a quick in and out overnight stay... so I didn't need any breakfast or luxuries, just somewhere quiet and safe to sleep for half a night before hopping on our next flight. I would say that as long as they keep this place up, it's amazing value and a great option! Oh, and the room had central Air Conditioning / Heating... which is unheard of for a budget hotel in the UK, so that won me over right away! :) WOW - Awesome!"

"The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast as a vegan was enjoyable with our vegan sausages and soya milk. It's a bust hotel but its clean and affordable... I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great stay."

"Just a 5-minute walk to Terminal 2 of the airport, which is super convenient for early morning flights! The fish and chips at the lobby restaurant on the first floor were delicious and not too expensive! The hotel room was quite clean, and the bed felt new and very comfortable!"

"Customer service was terrible. Booking in process awful. Noise level in rooms is really bad if you are near a fire door as it slams shut all night in the corridor. Breakfast not great. Hotel was clean but window didn’t shut in room. No sleep"

"The staff at reception were very helpful. The cleaning staff were very friendly and kind - my daughter is very open and says hello to everyone, the staff were lovely with her and listened to her stories about her pet dragon (Toothless from HTTYD) The room we were given was large and clean. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice."

"Check in was dreadful! On arrival 2 members of staff behind the reception desk were staring at a screen, I assumed they were dealing with 2 ladies standing slightly to one side, but when i managed to catch one of them's eye, he asked if he could help & seemed surprised that I was waiting to check in! I ushered forward the lady waiting in front of me. When my turn arrived I gave my name and that I had a room for 2 adults & a toddler & had requested a travel cot. I had no phone signal in the hotel so could not bring up my booking. He requested that I go outside to get signal which I did. On finding my online booking confirmation I went back inside & gave him the booking reference number to which he snappily told me it was wrong. I showed him. He asked me to write down my full name on a slip of paper the he proceeded to print off details of my booking thrust it at me & asked if that was me! He insisted that I had made a booking for 2 adults & 2 children. I read the booking details directly from my phone - 2 adults, one 2 year old, travel cot required. Eventually we were allocated our room & given the key. This whole process took 25 minutes, which also then put our restaurant reservation back. Not great with a tired & hungry 2 year old! (When we did get into our room, there was no travel cot. this was supplied later.) On a positive note, a member of staff who seemed to have some supervisory/managerial capacity did apologise and gave me free parking for the night. Other than this dreadful start, all was OK, just what one would expect from a premier inn."
