"Fast quick check in did not arrive till 11.45pm but nice friendly staff, Room nice and clean with everything you need for a quick overnight stay breakfast was fine. Lots of choice. Coffee could be better one machine had powdery cheap coffee in and the one with beans was extremely slow fast check out. Staff are great"

"Customer service was terrible. Booking in process awful. Noise level in rooms is really bad if you are near a fire door as it slams shut all night in the corridor. Breakfast not great. Hotel was clean but window didn’t shut in room. No sleep"

"Just a 5-minute walk to Terminal 2 of the airport, which is super convenient for early morning flights! The fish and chips at the lobby restaurant on the first floor were delicious and not too expensive! The hotel room was quite clean, and the bed felt new and very comfortable!"

"The hotel is located opposite to Terminal 2 of Manchester Airport. The room is rather compact, yet clean, quiet and air-conditioned, which is good enough for an overnight stay and grabbing a breakfast before catching a morning flight."

"The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast as a vegan was enjoyable with our vegan sausages and soya milk. It's a bust hotel but its clean and affordable... I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great stay."

"The hotel is only a 5-7 minute walk (all indoors) from the arrivals section of Manchester's T2. Importantly, it is only about a 5min walk to the train station where you can take a 30min train ride into the city. The return trip for my wife and I was just under GBP16.00. Despite proximity to the airport, we didn't hear any planes at all! The rooms were modern, well furnished, bright and comfortable. The toilets were spotlessly clean and importantly the beds were very comfortable. Note that if you have a lot of luggage, there is a luggage trolley ”rental” thing right outside the doors of the hotel. BUT DON'T DO THIS! Instead, just go to the ground floor of the train station (5min walk away) and pick up a luggage trolley for free instead of paying EUR2.00 for the ”rental” of one. Check-in was not an issue and Alexandra handled the process very well despite the 'trainee' tag on her jacket. If I need to stay at an airport hotel in Manchester in the future, this is no doubt for me the one I'd book."

"Check in was dreadful! On arrival 2 members of staff behind the reception desk were staring at a screen, I assumed they were dealing with 2 ladies standing slightly to one side, but when i managed to catch one of them's eye, he asked if he could help & seemed surprised that I was waiting to check in! I ushered forward the lady waiting in front of me. When my turn arrived I gave my name and that I had a room for 2 adults & a toddler & had requested a travel cot. I had no phone signal in the hotel so could not bring up my booking. He requested that I go outside to get signal which I did. On finding my online booking confirmation I went back inside & gave him the booking reference number to which he snappily told me it was wrong. I showed him. He asked me to write down my full name on a slip of paper the he proceeded to print off details of my booking thrust it at me & asked if that was me! He insisted that I had made a booking for 2 adults & 2 children. I read the booking details directly from my phone - 2 adults, one 2 year old, travel cot required. Eventually we were allocated our room & given the key. This whole process took 25 minutes, which also then put our restaurant reservation back. Not great with a tired & hungry 2 year old! (When we did get into our room, there was no travel cot. this was supplied later.) On a positive note, a member of staff who seemed to have some supervisory/managerial capacity did apologise and gave me free parking for the night. Other than this dreadful start, all was OK, just what one would expect from a premier inn."

"I stayed at Clayton Hotel Manchester with my family for one night on 01 August 2026, and we had a truly pleasant experience. The room had a good layout, was clean, comfortable, and perfectly prepared for a family stay. The overall environment felt fresh, quiet, and well‑maintained, which helped us relax after a long journey. The location is excellent, very close to Manchester Airport and the train station, making travel extremely convenient. The hotel also provides a shuttle service both ways from the airport and train station. The transport in charge was very helpful, assisting with our luggage and handling everything with extra care during drop‑off at the airport. This thoughtful service was truly appreciated. I would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming hotel in Manchester."

"Really great location, in walking distance from the airport terminal and railway (but no walking directions given by the hotel which was a slight oversight) The shower was so good and great towels and comfy bed. Some design issues which let the hotel down. Difficult to move heavy cases over thick carpet and the door to the room wasn’t one that would latch to keep it open. Just annoying when you’re really tired… but the worst thing was the lack of soundproofing and the toilet making random flushing noises every few minutes. So sadly I didn’t sleep well at all which is surely the top priority at a hotel."
