AIRE Hotel & Ancient Bath Almería is born in 2011 as the perfect union between tradition and innovation. Located in Plaza de la Constitución (former Plaza Vieja), the hotel is housed in an ancient building of the 19th century reformed by the architectural studio of Alonso Balaguer in Barcelona and, in a second phase, by the local architect José María García Ramírez.
The hotel, which initially had 10 rooms, was expanded in 2016 and now has 22 in addition to being full of charming places such as the terrace with rooftop pool, which enjoys views of the Alcazaba; the library or the wonderful and unique bathrooms in which you can enjoy a unique and relaxing experience.

"I arrived at the hotel very late and checked in smoothly. The hotel has an underground bath and the open-air swimming pool is small, but you can see the repaired hilltop church next to it, and the overall environment is good. I just came for work and didn't have time to enjoy the surroundings and facilities of the hotel. Recommended stay"

"New hotel, spacious room with a fine bathroom. Only a complimentary bottle of water in the room on the first day. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. Lovely balcony. Comfortable bed, super breakfast!
The sea view is of the harbor under construction. Not charming, but it could be worse. The city is a fifteen-minute walk away. Perfectly doable.
Parking is available at the hotel, if they have space, for €18 per day. Surrounding parking garages are more expensive."

"I booked a simple room . Most of the rooms facing an interior faces inside with no natural light . The room was stuffy so I opened the window but it faces an inside ..what do you call it, open space so I was still hot. I tried to turn on the air conditioner but couldn’t because it was too early to have the centrally control air conditioner on. The receptionist was very nice and changed me to an enormous room that has 2 window that faces the outside. I could see the rain coming down. The room faces another building about 5 ? meters away . There are restaurants below but being rainy days there were few guests.
The location is fantastic and close to everything. There is even a Carl’s Junior Burger Restaurant not too far away.
But, the nearby pedestrian street is under renovation and resurfacing so probably 80 % of the street is fenced in .
If you prefer natural light, you have to request for a room that has window that faces the small alley way and pay more.
Oh, there is not hot water kettle but the receptionist said I can have hot water any time because inside the restaurant, it is available and the receptionist can get it for you. "

"We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are beautifully designed and the bed was very comfortable. There are a lot of free parking spaces on the streets and the hotel is just outside the centre between the old town and a new shopping centre. Both are within walking distance in a maximum of 30 minutes. Just like the stand. Furthermore, a bus stops in front of the hotel, with which you can either drive to the shopping center or to the city center."

"The hotel itself is amazing but:
- Shower door did not close properly and therefore we got ”floods” everyday in the toilet.
- Mosquitos: I do understand that we are in a ”wild” enviroment but it was amazing every time we open the curtain of the terrace how were falling many mosquitos. During the night, going to the toilet was an expirience as well. Too many mosquitos...they should try to do something with this.
- Meals: they do not include beverage, its normal until you are charged 3'5€ for an opened bottle of water when they should serve or at least give the option to have it for free since the law says that.
- Checkin: the girl of the counter just told us, ”hey scan this QR code and everything is explained”, why shall I download an app of the hotel? is it so hard to explain just in few second all the activities of the hotel?
- Breakfast: Bakery quality worse than any other hotel I tried...
Speaking about amenities hotel is perfect, big pools, nice decoration, buffet was ok and it has direct access to the beach. Its a pity that the service is not at Barcelo level standards."

Location: The hotel is on a corner of roads. It wasn’t easy for us to spot the first time when your driving. You have to park and walk, and then you will see a sign for the hotel. There is no free street parking unless you park after 2030-0730, but during the day you will struggle. The hotel provides parking but for an additional fee. There is also a supermarket next door that serves cheap or reasonable shopping items which we used.
Service: The staff were lovely during check in and check out. The hotel had its own restaurant and the staff over there were lovely.
Amenities: The hotel has its own private swimming pool on the first floor. It’s not heated so we didn’t use it as the weather wasn’t warm either. The room had towels and toiletries provided including a hair dryer. There was running hot water.
Downside: I couldn’t say anything bad for about the hotel. For the price we paid, we experienced only the best. The only issue we had was parking since we didn’t want to pay the additional fee but other than that, I couldn’t complain about the hotel at all

Everything went ok... until the last day when the bathroom door lock broke locking me inside.
Luckily there was a window in the bathroom - I could yell for help (which came very fast - but you need to be able to say your room number in Spanish).
Now to the hotel / room review:
The room is small but it's ok if you only going to spend there the night; there is a minifridge.
One of the downsides is the air conditioning pointing directly at the bed - you either freeze or sweat.

The hotel is on the side of the church. If you live in room 24, there are two balconies facing the church square. Everything in the room is easy to use, but there are no other surprises except the balcony.

Have stayed here previously and gave it a glowing review, which is why I rebooked. However this time not so good. Shown first room- small room tiny window poor outlook, requested a change, manager not terribly happy asked another member of staff to show me another room, again small, tiny window around a corner. I was given the option to upgrade at a cost of €12 which gave me a nicer room.
Requested a taxi to be booked to the airport for following day. Staff in morning not very helpful or polite at reception. Will not stay here again.

Nos parece un buen hotel calidad-precio, por lo que repetiremos si hay ocasión.
Una observación, a nuestro parecer muy importante, y dejamos constancia de ello. Una vez realizado el cheking, EL PROPIO HOTEL, te envía un mail con la carta y precios de cafetería, pero están totalmente desactualizados y lo peor es que al ponerlo en conocimiento te comentan que ya lo saben......
Por poner algún ejemplo, los huevos rotos con jamón según cheking 7,50 €, pero cobraron 14 €, el sándwich elba 8 € y cobraron 13 €. En bebidas tampoco es el mismo precio, pero es algo mucho más normal.
No la tienen desactualizada, la tienen totalmente desatendida. No puedes cobrar, CASI, el doble de lo que le indicas al cliente en recepción.
Por lo demás muy bien.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city, and the hotel is located in the centre of the city.
The pool is always mashed and people do not meet the rule of not booking shadows; so it is practically impossible to enjoy the pool if there are many people. To not mention the little respect that customers have in general, with screaming, alcohol consumption, etc.
Animation employees do good work and are young and competent people with very entertaining child activities, but some activities (especially nights for adults) are short. Others, such as the Flemish dance or magic, are entertained for a low-requiring family audience.
The buffet food is correct, but the quality of the raw materials is obviously low in many cases.
