Yesterday, I ate at the Chinese restaurant, and the young lady recommended the steamed pork with rice flour, stir-fried bamboo shoots with cured pork, and old duck and tea tree mushroom soup. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and they even gave us a complimentary fruit platter. A big thumbs up! I was surprised to learn that Cixi is known as the ”bread capital,” as the welcome fruit platter included bread, and breakfast also featured several types of bread – a very thoughtful promotion! Staying at a hotel under the Baidawu group again was as excellent as ever. Keep it up!"
