"I traveled with my family and carefully planned our trip, choosing to visit Chengyang Eight Villages. The experience was fantastic; there was no commercial marketing, and you could genuinely see the lives of the local Dong people. Staying at Nanyi Homestay was the best choice we made during our trip. The stilted houses here perfectly preserve the authentic way of life. The owners, Lao Liang and Xiao Chen, were incredibly welcoming, and the food was super delicious, especially the local duck – I highly recommend trying it! The breakfast was also plentiful, and they even booked a ”Hundred Families Banquet” for us. We felt the warmth and hospitality of the Dong people. It was my first time escaping the hustle and bustle of the city to such a tranquil and secluded little world. The hospitality of the people of Guangxi was truly touching. I will definitely come back again. I wish the owners great success in their business and all the best."

"The overall experience of this hotel is full, and there are many restaurants near the hotel that taste good. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the sound insulation was good, and the rest was good. The bathroom facilities are complete, the hot water is stable, there are disposable toilet covers, disposable bath towels and slippers, hair dryer and hot water bottles. The front desk Xiaopan service is warm and polite, the check-in and check-out efficiency is high, the downstairs is fully furnished, the price is very high, I will choose to stay next time, highly recommended!"

"I searched online for a long time before choosing this Qiaotou B&B. We went there in March and thought it was the off-season and we wouldn't be able to see much, but to our surprise it was the time when rape flowers were in full bloom. The room has two viewing platforms. From the large viewing platform, you can see a large area of rapeseed flowers. It is very close to Chengyang Yongji Bridge, the landmark building of Chengyang Bazhai. The room also has a view of the night view of Chengyang Yongji Bridge."

"I came to Sanjiang at the tail end of the Spring Festival holiday. My first stop was Chengyang Bazhai. Then I booked Chengyang Bazhai Hotel, which was ranked first on Ctrip. The hotel is at the entrance of the scenic area. The hotel staff has a very good service attitude. When we arrived very late, the staff also came to the parking lot to pick us up! "It wasn't as great as people said online. After all, it's just in a county town, and it's still quite expensive for the price. The hardware and decor are indeed very good, but the flow within the building is a bit chaotic, and overall, there's not much in terms of service. There's a doorman, but they wouldn't let me check in first; instead, they made me park the car and then come back up. I stood at the front desk for a long time, and no one bothered to ask if I needed help, or if I was even in the right line. With a bunch of luggage in my hands, no one offered to assist me or anything. The laundry service ends too early, and since there isn't a self-service laundry room like in budget hotels, I ended up having to handwash clothes with soap and hang them in the bathroom, just like 10-15 years ago. The underground parking lot was wet everywhere with water stains, though it had been raining heavily in Sanjiang those days. The window soundproofing is poor; the frogs and insects outside were very loud at night. The hallway soundproofing isn't great either; you can hear doors opening and closing. The air conditioning is terrible; it's too cold, and I couldn't adjust the temperature higher. Plus, there's no screen on the window, which was very uncomfortable. In short, it looks nice on the outside, and the rooms are pretty too, but that's about it. Quite disappointing."

"The new house has the smell of wood, but no strange smell. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, and you can be awakened by the sounds of birds singing, flowing water, and roosters crowing in the early morning. Outside the window are rice fields and the Dong village. The room is very clean and there is mountain spring water nearby, from which everyone in the village gets water. When I left, I forgot my charger and facial cleanser, so the lady boss sent them to me. She is a very nice and welcoming person."

"This time I came to Sanjiang and stayed at Guangyuezun Hotel, which was unexpectedly good! The transportation is convenient. You can take the bus directly from the high-speed rail station. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to Doye Square, the Bird's Nest and Sanjiang Wind and Rain Bridge in the county center. The interior environment of the hotel is also very elegant, reflecting the Dong style everywhere, giving people a different kind of warmth. The room is big, soundproofed, and cleaned promptly. I stayed there for two nights and still felt like I hadn't stayed long enough. Whether it is the front desk or the staff, they have a good attitude and treat guests like family, which left a deep impression on our group of four! "Passing through Sanjiang, this last-minute booking turned out to be a wonderful surprise. We received a complimentary room upgrade, and the view from the window was stunning. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options; we particularly enjoyed trying the local specialty, Sanjiang Youcha, which was quite good. Sanjiang Drum Tower is next to it, there are two wind and rain bridges one kilometer each, the night view is special, the room is clean and bright, the mattress is soft and comfortable, 24 hours hot water, elevators are all equipped, and the stay is super worry-free. It is super convenient to travel and eat ～ The boss is super enthusiastic!

Guest UserOur stay at Sanjiang Juyoulou Inn was great and the Inn owners are a sweet, amazing couple that helped us out a lot!
We wanted to learn about the local handcraft and the owner helped us to organise a lesson in Chinese embroidery through some of his contacts, which was so cool! They also helped us to book places for the banquet and the festivities at the drum tower, which, through a collab, is also cheaper than if we had booked them ourselves :)
On our last day, we left for the rice terraces in a even more rural area, and the owner explained us exactly - with a sweet hand-written note - how to get there with the different busses we needed to take. He also drove us to the first bus stop in his personal car for free. Amazing and kind people, a beautiful room and a nice view :)

The location of the homestay is superb, natural oxygen bar, suitable for holiday leisure and relaxation, daze and relaxation. The proprietress is a typical Guangxi woman, hardworking and pragmatic, the room hygiene is cleaned by herself, the room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. For self-driving trams, you can discuss with the proprietress to provide charging piles (slow charging, paid use). The hardware is not high-end petty bourgeoisie, but the victory is practical enough, the details are winning, and the mind is spent on the blade. We arrived in the dark at 11 o'clock in the evening, sitting on the terrace, soaking in the stomach, the fatigue of the day went with the wind. It was a pity that I came and went in a hurry and couldn't experience it in depth.

The location is fantastic, right by the Wind-Rain Bridge, allowing you to fully enjoy the famous bridge from the balcony and windows.
The hygiene is excellent. The room comes with a sterilizing cabinet for self-sterilizing teaware and bowls. The bathroom is equipped with disposable toilet seat covers, and you can also use the alcohol wipes provided by the owner for disinfection. There are also disposable towels, showing great consideration for hygiene.
The tables, chairs, and bed frames in the guesthouse are all made of raw wood, which is very unique. You can tell a lot of thought went into it.
The guesthouse doesn't include breakfast. It was raining that day, so we couldn't go out to eat. We asked the landlady to cook us a few bowls of lean pork noodles with greens and fried eggs. When it was time to pay, she insisted on not charging us. She said that there was an issue with the hot water the night before, and a technician from the county didn't fix it until after 11 PM. She felt sorry for us and said that a few bowls of noodles couldn't make up for it. Her sincerity was truly touching.
We'll definitely stay at Sanjiang Drum Tower Guesthouse again next time.

I had kinda big issue during my stay, at 3am the lock reader started to beep very loudly. I tried to ignore but the sound was very annoying and exhausting. Stayed for an hour hoping would stop at any time but it didn’t happen. I informed front desk at 4am and the guy came up to help. We didn’t figure out what causes the problem but the staff ended up fixing it.
Despite this incident, the overall is really good. 9,5/10

Right after crossing Yongji Bridge, this hotel is nestled in the heart of the village. It's incredibly convenient for visiting the Drum Tower and other attractions in Ma'an Village. The hotel has an elevator, which is a huge plus for guests with luggage. Each room boasts a unique style, and the views from the top floor are absolutely stunning. They even have smart toilets and Dyson hairdryers. Plus, disposable towels and other amenities are provided. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! The prices are affordable, but there's no compromise on quality. The rooms are well-equipped, and the front desk staff, especially the young lady, provided excellent service. There's a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. It's very quiet at night, which led to a fantastic night's sleep. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip!

If you say hello to the boss in advance, you can drive your private car in, which is great.
