I think some previous guest smoked in the room & tho the hotel tried to clean the room the smell of cigarette stayed on the bedding. I guess smoking is prevalent in China & tough for the hotel.

It is clear that rooms have been recently renovated: they look cheerful, bed was comfortable, 2 pleasant seats as well. Walls between rooms are a bit thin (but that's common in most hotels in this price range) and the outside of the building is currently being renovated (which means some noise during day time, but it wasn't a big problem). I would certainly consider staying here again.
