"It's truly remarkable to run such a refined B&B in these mountains. The hotel's facilities are among the best in the area, and the environment is also beautiful. The beacon tower across from the hotel overlooks Qiankun Bay. However, the food isn't as diverse as at the hotels further down the mountain, especially the breakfast, which is more local. As a child from the south, there's little to eat except corn and porridge. However, the enthusiastic service of the owner and staff is truly touching. They even offered to mail something I left behind. I hope you continue to improve. I'll definitely stay with you again when I bring my family to Laoniu Bay or Qiankun Bay."

"The sixth stop of the self-driving tour in Shanxi, because we want to visit the first bend of the Yellow River entering Shanxi. After reading the reviews, I chose this hotel without hesitation and it did not disappoint. The hotel is next to Wenbi Tower and is an independent courtyard with a large parking lot in front of the door, which is great for self-driving tourists. The room is spacious and bright, with complete supporting facilities, a dry and wet separated bathroom, a very comfortable mattress, and plenty of hot water for bathing. Especially the cooked dishes are tasty and reasonably priced, very appetizing. Coming to Pianguan to visit Laoniu Bay is the best choice."

"Arrived at 11 o'clock in the evening, the boss is still waiting, the conditions of the village homestay are OK, but I found out that there was a pillow missing in the early morning. It was too late in the middle of the night and I didn’t want to trouble people. I pillowed my backpack and clothes."

I came to Laoniuwan to travel, read other netizens' comments, stayed at Sweeten, the room was very new, the linen was also embroidered with the hotel name was very new, sitting on the wicker chair in front of the window to overlook the Yellow River, according to the manager, after staying at the hotel, they will report the visitor's name to the visitor center, The next day you can buy tickets and you can have a discount. 若問起老牛灣的住宿，老郭農家樂的乾淨是出了名的。推開客房的門，水泥地面擦得發亮，床單被褥帶着陽光曬過的清香，疊得整整齊齊，沒有一絲褶皺。牆角沒有蛛網，窗台不見灰塵，就連洗漱台也收拾得乾乾淨淨，透着一股農家特有的利落。在這裏住下，不用顧慮旅途的疲憊會被環境打擾，反而像回到了自家的老屋，踏實又安心。
説到吃食，老郭農家樂的黃河鯉魚絕對是繞不開的重頭戲。這可不是尋常飯館裏的養殖魚，而是真正從黃河裡打撈上來的野生鯉魚。老郭年輕時就是黃河上的打魚人，一輩子與黃河打交道，撒網、收網的手藝早已刻進骨子裡。每天天剛矇矇亮，他就搖着小漁船鑽進黃河的晨霧裡，憑着經驗找到魚羣聚集的地方，一網下去，總能收穫幾條肥美的黃河鯉魚。
新鮮打撈的鯉魚，做法卻帶着最樸素的講究。老郭的老伴兒繫著圍裙在灶台前忙碌，熱油下鍋，薑片爆香，把處理乾淨的鯉魚放進鍋裏，小火慢煎至兩面金黃，再添上自家釀的陳醋、醃製的老醬，加足黃河水燜煮。不一會兒，廚房裡就飄出勾人的香味，魚皮不破，魚肉卻早已吸飽了湯汁，入口鮮嫩緊實，帶着黃河水特有的清甜，沒有一點土腥味。筷子輕輕一挑，蒜瓣似的魚肉就散開，蘸着濃稠的湯汁送進嘴裏，那滋味，是城市裡無論多高檔的飯館都模仿不來的鮮美。
老郭和老伴兒是那種見了面就讓人覺得親切的人。老郭話不多，黝黑的臉上總是帶着憨厚的笑，額頭上的皺紋裏藏着黃河的風和日頭的印記。客人來了，他會默默接過行李，引着往客房走，問起黃河的故事，他才打開話匣子，説哪段水流急，哪塊礁石險，説年輕時打魚的趣事，眼裡閃着光。老伴兒則是個熱心腸的利落人，端茶倒水、收拾房間，手腳不停歇，見人就笑着打招呼，“路上累了吧？快坐下喝口水”“晚上想吃點啥？家裡還有剛摘的野菜呢”，那語氣就像招待自家親戚，熱乎得讓人心裏暖洋洋的。
在老牛灣的日子，白天可以沿着黃河邊散步，看黃河與長城在這裏“握手”，看夕陽把河面染成金紅色；傍晚回到老郭農家樂，坐在院子裏的小板凳上，聽老郭講黃河的故事，看老伴兒在燈下擇菜，聞着廚房裡飄來的魚香，喝着老郭自釀的小米酒，心裏的煩躁與疲憊早已煙消雲散。
