"Very close to JR asahikawa station which made this hotel ideal as a base to explore both the city and the surroundings, e.g. Furano and Biei. AEON shopping centre was also just across the road. There was a public bath on the top floor. The breakfast was impressive and worth included. Will definitely stay here again if back to asahikawa."

"Facilities: Though compact, this hotel is perfectly equipped and thoughtfully designed, making excellent use of every space. It has everything you could need, and the large windows, facing directly onto the JR station, ensure the room feels bright and spacious, never cramped.

"When I booked, I saw photos in the reviews of guests enjoying breakfast with a view, and it certainly lived up to expectations. Breakfast is served on the 14th floor, offering an absolutely superb view. The food selection was also quite good, and I didn't get tired of it even after eating there for two consecutive days. The coffee was surprisingly decent for hotel standards; I had two cups every morning.
The room itself was small, as is typical for Japanese hotels. However, the upside is that everything is within arm's reach; you don't even need to get out of bed to grab something.
The surrounding area is excellent. Being located right on a pedestrian street, you're just a few steps away from shopping and dining."

"Art Hotel is one of the best hotels in Asahikawa. Very professional staff and this hotel has a lot of amenities! Sauna, spa, basement gym, even room service which seems like a vanishing amenity. So any hotel which still offers room service, seems like a real treat. They are only open from 5:30-8PM, I wish they offered breakfast room service, especially considering they have a bakery on site. Also, staff seem very flustered when trying to speak English, which surprised me. But this is a great hotel, extremely professional, and I even extended my stay for a few more days. Thanks very much to Art Hotel staff for a nice stay in Hokkaido."

"True to the usual Toyoko Inn standard. While the location isn't right next to Asahikawa Station, it's just one extra block away.
The hairdryer was good and powerful, but the kettle wasn't great – it boiled slowly and was easy to burn yourself on. Also, breakfast was quite simple, mostly rice balls, but it tasted alright."

"The hotel staff were incredibly friendly; they waited for me even though I arrived very late. It was a truly memorable experience. Although I only stayed one night, the hot spring was excellent and wasn't crowded at all. A small note: if you're late for the noodle dinner, you might only get instant noodles. Breakfast was also good."

"Actually, many aspects are good. The problem is that some points are too low. For example, the kettle is made of pure plastic, and it feels like it will melt while burning, and the wires are exposed. For example, there is no restaurant for breakfast, and you have to eat in the open space at the front desk. There are many guests, but few tables and chairs. A round table has 3 chairs. In most cases, you have to share a table to eat breakfast. There are only a few tables in total, and you have to queue up. It's really embarrassing. The interior decoration has been transformed into a normal business hotel, but the *silk spirit is still implemented in a few places. It's not worth it."

Sake and hot spring provide pleasant relief after everyday's traveling.
Coffee is also very good. (I add some milk myself)
They also provide free drinks in the vendor machine after the hot spring.
And don't forget they also provide free ice pop and hot soup.
All these complimentary service enrich the experience.
I have stayed in several hotels in asahigawa, the WBF is the best and I will certainly want to stay in the future!

BBOVery general, the price is not high. First of all, there is no restaurant nearby. We don’t know which predecessor said that the store will produce delicious soba noodles. ! Secondly, the sound insulation is particularly bad, plus we stayed in the next night, 12 young men (the names on the doors of both rooms, I counted, one six, add up to twelve) and sipped at two in the morning. Drunk, open a party in the room. I am angered, directly slammed the door, the Chinese, English and Japanese three words together, went downstairs to call the doorkeeper uncle. Finally, I can't communicate. The front desk and I also hold the same kind of translation, and talk to each other.

Onsen is a bit hot so you can’t stay in long and not having towels on hand is a let down too.
The hotel is in a great location tho with nice views over the city, good price and helpful, enthusiastic staff. I recommend this place and we will return.

GGuest UserSince it is a business hotel, the rooms are small and there is no parking lot. After checking with the hotel, they introduced us to a nearby parking lot, and we parked at the Times next door. It was 800 yen for 12 hours, and the next morning, it was 1600 yen to take out the car.
We stayed in winter, so there were people from overseas and people heading to ski resorts.
For the children, they gave us slippers, toothbrushes, handkerchiefs, etc. in a separate bag, and although they did not provide towels or other amenities, the children were happy.
(Since it is a downtown area, there are many shops, but nowadays, many places that serve alcohol do not allow children, so I called in advance in Asahikawa to check, but several stores did not allow children. It was difficult to find a restaurant. Shinkarou, a Chinese restaurant 3 minutes walk from the hotel, is OK for children. They even reserved a seat for us.)

The room is very clean, but the public area is not very clean, and you can't wear shoes, so you need to prepare more socks and throw them away after checking out! Also, the breakfast is delicious! The tea bags in the room are delicious

GGuest UserThe hotel is older, and the screws on the folding bed in the triple room were unstable, making it unsleeping and even difficult to sit on. Reporting this to the staff was unresolved. They couldn't borrow a screwdriver, and the refrigerator plug was broken, but plugging it into another outlet fixed it. Cleanliness was fine, with no issues with unclean sheets or towels, as other guests had mentioned. The bathroom light took a while to dim. The front desk staff was friendly, which was a plus, but there was no staff on duty between 12:00 and 6:00 a.m.

建物は長年使用されている感じは受けるが、お部屋の備品等は使用していて特に古さを感じるものはなかった。ただ残念だった点は、ユニットバスルームの壁やシャワーカーテン、特に鏡周りの壁に黒カビが発生していて、お掃除をもう少し入念にして頂けたら、もっと快適に過ごせるのになと思った。

GGuest UserThe Asahikawa Toyo Hotel is an old school hotel. It is within walking distance of the Asahikawa train station or a short bus ride away. There are many eateries and little grocery stores nearby. We had some delicious food nearby and found the location to be relatively good.
The hotel seems to have seen better days but still maintains a semblance of cleanliness. We didn’t find much to complain about it. Perfectly adequate for a night’s stay.
