My recent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Bintan Lagoi in room 8006 was simply outstanding, thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. Their dedication to service and genuine warmth was evident at every turn.
First and foremost, the entire crew working at the hotel deserves immense praise. From the moment we arrived, we were consistently greeted with smiles. It felt like everyone, no matter what they were doing, would pause their work just to acknowledge and greet my family as we walked past. This simple gesture made a huge difference and contributed greatly to the welcoming atmosphere.
I also want to give a special shoutout to a particular male staff member at the Rempah Kitchen restaurant where we had breakfast. My child was only eating a banana, a sausage, and a hard-boiled egg, and this staff member, wearing a different uniform, showed incredibly sharp observation. He quickly noticed my child's limited choices and came over to our table. He proactively offered to get him something else, like pasta, and even offered him a hot chocolate. His attentiveness and kindness were truly remarkable and made us feel so cared for. My apology for not getting your name.
Lastly, a big thank you to our exceptional housekeeper, Mr. Bahar. His attention to detail was impeccable. Every day, he left dedicated notes for us, which were such a thoughtful and personal touch. The different animal towels he created daily were a particular highlight—they always sparked conversation and brought so much joy to my son.
The staff at this hotel are what make it truly special. Their amazing service, attentiveness, and friendly attitudes made our family vacation an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return."

"Staying at the Cabin Villa at De Bintan Villa has been such a delightful experience! I’m so happy to be back, and this time I had the chance to try their new cabin with its serene sea view. The staff here are incredible and truly made my stay feel warm and welcoming. Plus, the room was spotlessly clean, which made it even better.
The journey started smoothly with Bobby, who picked me up and made the drive comfortable and enjoyable. Agus who sent me back to ferry terminal is awesome too !
At the Cabin Villa, Erni and Deka were always there with bright smiles and friendly service, making sure everything was perfect.
Andy, who drove me between the Cabin Villa and the Cliff Cafe, was also exceptionally warm and friendly, which made the experience even more pleasant.
At the Cliff Cafe, Suhardi and Seltiya provided attentive and helpful service, making me feel right at home.
Overall, it was a wonderfully warm and enjoyable stay with a great room and kind people with beautiful smiles. Thank you so much for everything, and I can’t wait to come back again!"

As it’s located in a rather remote area, there isn’t much in the immediate surroundings, and activities are quite limited unless you're willing to travel out to the main city, which is about an hour’s drive away. However, the villa itself more than makes up for it — beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully maintained. What really stands out is the level of service from the staff. They are prompt, attentive, and very responsive, especially when it comes to communication through messaging apps. "We stayed with our family at the Kawaland glamping resort for 3D,2N. We had a very nice experience. The staff were sincere, hard working, friendly and courteous with all our needs. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and explained to us about the Indonesian cuisine. All the food that we tried at the restaurant was good! The glamping rooms were comfortable with spacious bedroom and bathrooms. The beach was only a walking distance from the resort & it was clean and beautiful. They also had swimming pools. We also had a good experience using the BBQ pit with the help of staff. We were also able to try the movie night with the projector at the beach bar. One area that could be improved is: During warm weather, the roof panels and the room interior gets quite hot. The AC alone was not sufficient. So it may need some other solution as well to keep the room comfortable. Otherwise, we had a chill, happy vacation at the resort! Would definitely recommend it to everyone."

"Families first time to this place very nice to relax. So thankful who fetch us Tedi (martedi) very kind , good service and pleasant. To manger Hardi first assist us very clear to explain so helpful, kind, good service and friendly. Nur who smiling face. Good ambience and relaxing. Breakfast good complete. My kids love it especially egg prata but our last day prata over cook,(sad),cannot service . The best snorkelling we recommend this water sport. Everything perfect except to shower so little water come out and cannot control heat . Cleaning of room
Okay everyday cleaning but never wash the cups. And never give shower gel and shampoo. Overall relax and wonderful experience. We will come back here hope got changed for shower."

"Awesome hotel, that is, Ctrip has to contact the hotel through the agent, can not communicate directly, not too convenient. The hotel is right by the sea and you can watch the sunset. The hotel's restaurant is better than any restaurant on the island! I ate three dinners this time, and I didn't step on thunder when I blinded a lot of dishes!
The disadvantage is that the electric water heater is used, and the water will be cold after a long bath time. In addition, the hotel does not provide toothpaste and toothbrushes, and there is no renewal of cleaning for two days."

Amazing
GGeorg ChristopherThe hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish.
Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner.
However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top.
In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

Touched down in the morning. Went around the resort. Need to orientate yourself with the place. Remember to scan the QR code in the room for all the information including the resort map. Had a super early check-in at around 11am. That's very nice of them to Whatsapp me. It is indeed a good direct platform to ask questions and get information from the hotel in a quick manner. Played the outdoor water playground with my kids, checked out the Mangrove House activities. Please request the hotel side to send you the day activities of the Mangrove House so you don't miss the activities you want to participate. So you can plan on what you want to do for the days you are there.
The stay is also just beside Hotel Indigo. Which cater another food selection in the from the restaurant SugarBeats. Beach was nice and clean. With small resting couches with pillow. Every where you go. You can just rest on those couches. This is something that I like.
Just 1 bad point - The hotel staff should look at how to reduce the population of the houseflies. I feel like it is quite irritating when we are having the meals. Experienced this during indoor and our outdoor meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and amenities was Secntia brand which was nice. The check-in snd check out process was seamless, service staff was great throughout as they were always greeted us with a smile, very friendly and helpful (shoutout to willy, ilman,tommy, adel & many more). We loved the hotel's pool area, and the breakfast buffet could have more live stations and variety. The location was near Plaza Lagoi & i would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

JJimmycrimpsWe had a great experience at the resort, for its impeccable and attentive staff service and amenities within. There isn’t much excitement within the whole Bintan Resort area, but Natra Bintan offers much for its location beside the Treasure Bay. Nice water theme park to chill in for most part of the day. Jacuzzi within our stay is a bonus. Saturday night BBQ special is wonderful. You can also hop over to the Anmon Resort next door for a different atmosphere with open air, movie screening and live band.
Things are pricey though. Prepare lotsa money to enjoy your time in the Bintan Resort area.

The staff consistently provided helpful and polite service. I particularly appreciated the complimentary bicycles for convenient travel within the resort. The food quality was also impressive. What solidified my positive experience was their outstanding service recovery: upon discovering a minor termite issue in my first room, they promptly upgraded me to a Seaview suite. This impeccable service ensures I'll be back for another retreat!

Glamping here was such a blast! The staff were super friendly and always greeted us with big smiles – really made the whole stay extra warm and welcoming. The place is super clean (yes, even the toilets 👏), and the tents are comfy yet still give you that “close to nature” vibe.
Scooter rental was so easy – no stress, just hop on and go explore. Loved how everything was well taken care of, so we could just chill, eat, laugh, and enjoy the outdoors without worrying about a thing. Definitely recommend if you want the fun of camping but with way more comfort and good vibes! 🌿✨🏕️

Nneelie09All the staff are friendly and accomodating. Wasn't able to get all their names including those who are in Xana Bar but they are all welcoming! Driver Bhuraman and Stella at the main counter are very kind and professional. They were the first two staff who welcome us warmly :)
The place is perfect for relaxing. We love the style and the homey vibes of their room. We appreciate that they offer us to check in early with no extra charges. We really enjoyed the infinity pool and the fine-sand beach. Glad that we have experienced the sea turtle release activity which made the stay more meaningful. We just wish we spent more time to relax while having drinks at Xana Bar but the rain came along with us.
Food prices were reasonable and taste absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the buffet breakfast especially their local dishes.
The location is not nearby to go to places but very accessible with grab (which they launched only last May around the area). They have free shuttle service from Ferry terminal so it's also hassle free.
Will definitely book this hotel again. Highly recommended for lowkey stays. :)

MMrSenThis could be a 5* thing, for now it feels more like 4 to 4.5 * for me. Let me explain.
First of all, there are many really big upsides for the Nirwana Resort:
- The hotel is in a wonderful location. The beach directly in front of the hotel is beautiful, however if you explore a little further, the beach right next (connected to some rentable mini-houses) is also part of the Nirwana area and even cleaner and more inviting for a direct swim.
- The room was even nicer than anticipated via the photos. Everything was tastefully designed, clean and room-service did a great job daily. The hotel itself is abut 35 years old, very close to the sea and constantly exposed to salty winds. It's just amazing that they managed to maintain the open-corridors in such a great condition. There's a lot of wooden features (which look really good imho).
- The staff is friendly and helpful. You will find plenty of activities if that is your thing.
Now to the kinda neutral part: Some of the in-hotel facilities were not available during our stay. For example to get to the gym you had to switch to another building a few hundret meters away. You still get everything you need, so it's not really a complaint - more a thing of convenience but since all the surrounding area is pretty nice I would recommend exploring a bit anyway.
The two main negative factors were:
- It's a very secluded resort and there is no normal supermarket or anything similar nearby for basic daily needs like water or what-have-you. This means you will need to pay mega-premiums. 1 L of water costs over 100k Rupias or about 7 to 8 USD. A small bottle of coke is about $3.5. Same goes for all other snacks, drinks and foods. They are very overpriced, just because you don't have a choice. Another example: A pizza + a ”gourmet” burger were close to $50. I wouldn't even complain if it was really ”gourmet”. However not even close: You can eat both, it's not terrible but it's very basic, the pizza too dry and kinda small, the burger the most boring I had in years and not great beef at all.
Same goes for all the other food we had in the in-house restaurant. It's not bad but every dish feels like something is a bit off or missing or just very basic. Especially for the premium price you pay this seems not right.
There are two more restaurants within ~1km walking distance: An indian restaurant. Pricing is on the higher side but more reasonable than the indoor restaurant. Tandoori chicken was over-spiced (not hot just too strong taste with nothing to compliment it) and very dry/boring. The infamous butter chicken was great, though. I would recommend the ”Spicy restaurant” (4 stars) but make sure you get something with sauce.
And then there is a seafood restaurant. It's really pricy (especially when compared to seafood in Batam for example) but you get an incredible fresh and well seasoned fish/crab/prawn selection that makes it worth 100% to visit. Also the view is fantastic.
I actually would rate this whole experience 5 stars - if you would get the basics (water, coke, some smaller snacks) for a fair price; right now this part feels a bit like a rip-off.
Also, local taxi service is a bit over-priced, same goes for activities. I really don't mind spending more, but there needs to be a balance where you don't feel taken advantage of.
If you don't care about that, I would fully recommend the stay at Nirwana Hotel.

On the first night the room that we were allocated had a leakage of water from the ceilings so they immediately got us another room ready.
