"Limited facilities provided. Only a restaurant and some toys for kids. Breakfast was good and tasty. Staff can be more trained to provide better services. Had an experience that when the cleaner cleaned my room, he or she just put some unopened rubbish bags inside the rubbish bins and I have to open the bags and wrap it into the rubbish bin by myself. Front desk had also lost my registered parcel they collected for me."

"The bed was really uncomfortable. It's a cheap bed with springs that you can feel and when any of you move it disturbs the other as the bed shakes. I would have thought this hotel would have better quality mattresses, id rather stay in a travel lodge next time"

"My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities. Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5. "Love the supermarket right next to the hotel and there is public bus outside the hotel to go to city center. Typical English breakfast and the food choice is the same every day. There is a retail park opposite the hotel but only have 4-5 shops like Decathlon, Sport Direct & B&Q etc."

The only shortcoming is that I booked a king-size bed room, but the front desk gave me an ordinary standard king-size bed room. Fortunately, I can add an extra bed (15 pounds), otherwise I must have to deal with them. Ctrip is not kind either. It charged the premium room fee for a king-size bed (nearly 1,000 more expensive) but did not do the job. The English confirmation letter says: kingbed, and the corresponding bed should be super kingsize. The hotel thinks it is kingsize, which is 1.5m in the UK, and super kingsize is 1.8m."

"Drive directly from London Airport to the hotel. The hotel is located in a residential area. The appearance is a submit-detached house. In summer, there should be a small inner yard with a table for leisure, but we arrived in winter and the yard was not decorated. Breakfast was arranged in a small restaurant in the sun room. The food is relatively rich and the environment is warm. You can communicate with other travelers. The manager and waiter are also very enthusiastic and can do their best to help the guests. The transportation is not bad. We basically walk to the central area, which takes about 20 to 25 minutes. The advantage is that you don’t have to find a place to park, and you can also see the small colleges on both sides along the way. There are not many places to eat around, but there is a small bar about 15 minutes' walk away, which has 1 Michelin star. It is a little expensive, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is good. Students in the school are discussing business plans, which is a very university atmosphere. You can park on the roadside in front of the hotel, which is convenient. The manager let us park in the small parking lot of the hotel, which makes us feel at home. The small hotel is free and warm, and you can enter and exit with a password at night. Overall, I am quite satisfied.
