"Service: was really good. The receptionist lady gave us a lot of helpful information and was constantly available. I was really grateful for the service. Our rooms were cleaned daily, we got fresh water and towels. She also helped us get a ride to the train station, as there are limited drivers in this area (plan your departure ahead of time).
Room: the room has an amazing view. We enjoyed the balcony so much that we spent a lot of time there just taking in the scenery and enjoying ourselves. At night it looked even better. We visited during peak season (international workers holiday) and still the room was relatively quiet at night. Everything was exceptionally clean. The rain shower was appreciated as well. We also got vanity kits and so on. The bathroom is a little small for people over 190 cm (you should be fine if you are shorter).
The bed was comfortable and big. The only thing we missed was a Minibar (or fridge). The TV unfortunately wasn't a smart TV.
Location: the hotel is located in the central city. You won't miss a thing. There are restaurants nearby and all sorts of scenic spots. If you go outside, turn left and walk until the end of the street you'll even find a shop offering coffee ☕ (which is quite rare)."

"This is a wonderful hotel to stay at when visiting Fenghuang. Its about 15min taxi ride from train station and right to the hotel front door for 26 yuan. The staff are super friendly and helpful - communicate to them via wechat. I had a 25kg suitcase and staff carried it up 2 flights of stairs for me, theres no lift. The room and view is as pictured - has everything you need for a pleasant stay.
1 full day is enough to see everything - started around 10.30am and went back to hotel by 4.30pm to shower and rest then ventured out after 7pm for dinner and the night lights... got back at 10.30pm. If you pay extra to visit the local historical attractions and watch the show then its best to stay 2 nights - I just wandered the streets, ate and shopped. Theres some very nice and cheap souvenirs here! I really enjoyed my time in Fenghuang thanks to the hotel and staff. Simply amazing! Highly recommend this hotel. It may look far from ancient town centre on the map but only 10min walk. Wear comfy shoes, you will get a good workout exploring here!"

We’re so grateful for the incredibly helpful inn manager who assisted us in so many ways—from before our arrival right through to arranging a taxi to the train station after checkout. We only stayed one night, but the location was perfect, and the balcony views were stunning. Our room was a bit small for four people, but it was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and we felt safe and at ease throughout our stay. Great value for money—and the heated toilet seats were a much-appreciated bonus!

"When I first booked, I was quite apprehensive about potentially having a bad experience. To my pleasant surprise, the owner contacted us beforehand and even came to pick us up from our drop-off point, taking us directly to the B&B. I quickly realized my worries were completely unfounded, as its location is perfect, right in the heart of the ancient town. The daytime views are beautiful, but it's particularly enchanting at night. Sitting on the balcony, watching Fenghuang Ancient City light up, offered a truly unique and charming atmosphere. The owner is incredibly kind; she helped us with our sightseeing plans, and they even run a photography studio. The evening show we watched was also spectacular, and getting around was very convenient. I'd definitely choose to stay with them again if I get the chance."

"This homestay has one of the best service and cleanliness standards in China. Because many hotels in extremely developed touristy area like Phoenix Ancient Town would be very much substandard but this homestay is not only of high standards, it is in a superb location too. Also they too will loan you a set of Miao costume for a one night stay, gor you yo wear to take photos.
Only one thing about homestays and guesthouses in China, the more authentic it is, the more possibility that there will be no elevator. And that is another thing my friend was complaining about.
My advice would be for people who like my friend has knee issues, to book building A because the elevator serves only up to level 4 of this building. Building B is higher and I presume better view but you gotta use stairs.
All in all, its fantastic and the rooms are same as the photos so no unpleasant surprises."

"Magnificent view of 凤凰古城，while get to enjoy tranquility in the midst of the bustling town. There is a road right in front of the 民宿， thus taxi can come right to the foot.
The room we stay in is very spacious, the platform where I placed my luggage helped to reduce the stress on my knees, after climbing 武陵源。
The owner and staff were very warm and helpful. They always greeted us with: ”回来了” everytime we came back from outside and provided us with extra bottles of water upon request. On top of that they also helped to order food online, pre book places of interest, in Changsha, as we don't have a China SIM card."

XXiaoxiguaIt's right in the scenic area. The boss came out to greet you. There's a popular spot right outside the door. There's also a breakfast shop at the door. There's a parking lot at the back door, which is very convenient. I recommend everyone to stay.

RRayI was in Fenghuang for less than a day, but the staff at the homestay here made me feel truly welcome.
They provided me with a map of all the attractions and helped me buy a ticket to access all of them, making my trip much simpler! Also, they recommended some fantastic restaurants that were definitely worth the visit!
The room was lovely, very spacious! Fenghuang can be a loud city at night, but it still felt cosy and tucked away in this room.
I'd definitely recommend this homestay if you visit Fenghuang!

The room was exquisite.
We loved the terrace. The seats were very comfortable and we had a great view.
Cherry on top we could see a fantastic show at night.
We could also enjoy the sight of the dragon boat at night.
Bare in mind that there is no pickup from the train station. But you can take the subway and they'll come and pick you up. If your party counts 4 members, I recommend taking a cab or a didi (just like the hotel recommended us).
That said, we were given free rides to visit the city.
They can also arrange a car for you to visit other sites (paying service).
We had huge and high quality towels as well as disposable hand towels.
The toilet was a washlet like the ones we have in Japan.
The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately, they were some remodeling going on on the first floor when we stayed there and the smell of the solvent was unpleasant.
They did not have enough sitting to accommodate proper sitting for everyone but we took our breakfast up to our private terrace and enjoyed it very much.
The breakfast is a set breakfast. We could choose between 2 types of Chinese breakfast.
I can't say that I loved the breakfast but it was nice.
You can arrange it with many sauces, condiments and plenty of fresh chives and cilantro.
You can even ask for seconds.
The butler was very kind and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff as a matter of fact.
They also have a washing machine that you can use for free but you have to take care of the drying yourself.
My family and I got sick from a previous food intoxication and we were happy that we stayed in such a nice hotel.
Fenghuang old city is very festive so it can get noisy at night but the terrace's windows are of very good quality, therefore it did not bother us much. It is possible that you can hear your neighbors though.
All in all, despite being sick we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were happily surprised to receive a farewell gift.
We definitely recommend the place and we go back to this hotel without hesitation.

DDoujameiI had a great stay. Hotel is situated on the outskirts of the Ancient town, 20 mins walking distance, accessible by the river, bus, taxi or scooter.
There is no DiDi available when we arrived. I really hope that will changed. The schedule of the buses are not displayed. However, when standing on the street, we had scooter taxi stopping for us. A ride to the Ancient city is ¥7. They did over charged us but we were happy to finally get out under the scorching sun, so we didn’t mind. All the taxis passing by us were fully booked.
The hotel is great and new. They were doing some refurbishment so the swimming pool was not open. Despite that, the room was as shown on the pictures, very clean and spacious. They provided mosquitoes racket and plug in. There were a lot of mosquitoes and flies, in the corridor. be aware bring your sprays too. Same in town too.
The receptionists were really good and very helpful during the entire stay. They added us on WeChat and we could communicate like that. They help us ordering a taxi on the departure day.
The hotel is a good location but the lack of transport makes it hard to get to the Ancient town above when it so hot outside.
The bed was soft and nice to sleep in. The air conditioning was properly working. The cleaning service was great. Daily cleaning and they were waiting for us to be out to clean.
The welcome fruits basket were delicious. I didn’t make it for breakfast.
We were able to wash our clothes and air dry them. Quicker than a dryer.
I had an excellent stay there.

EekkaluckOur hotel stay was in a suite with a spacious balcony offering a stunning view of Hong Bridge (虹桥, Hóngqiáo) in Fenghuang. At night, the bridge was beautifully illuminated, creating a breathtaking scene. The hotel owner, Ah Ming, provided excellent service, always taking great care of us. He helped carry our luggage and even offered a shuttle service to and from the train station.
The heating system, including the room heater, worked perfectly, ensuring a warm and comfortable stay. Ah Ming was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist and provide useful information throughout our stay. This hotel truly offers one of the most spectacular views—an absolutely unforgettable experience!

Staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. They gave us welcome fruit and maps and offering support throughout the stays. Rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is good with various local meals. When we are about to leave the hotel, they arranged drop off to station for free and even gave us some local food to bring. What a pleasant surprise. We really enjoy beautiful Feng huang while staying there. Thank you all Xiangxi staffs for giving us wonderful experience.

SShane CanadianGood location if you want to be near the ancient town, but in a quiet spot. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel and the ancient town is about a two minute walk. Room is large and modern and bed is comfortable. You won't have much of a view on the backside of the hotel, and the front is likely to be a bit noisy with the bus stop during the day and the Aunties dancing in the square in the evening. It was nice that they gave a parting gift of local delicacies when we checked out.
A few improvements needed:
1. Hooks, or hanging racks, for towels at the shower and the sink. There is no way to dry a towel after a shower.
2. Wash cloth. For a nice hotel, a wash cloth (or face cloth) should be provided. They are not expensive.
3. The water in the shower will be affected by the toilet flushing and the sink faucet. It will get very hot. Quite a surprise given that this is a new hotel.
4. Car service, especially to the train station. We asked the front desk to call us a taxi. Their response was to walk us to the main road, which is likely 300 to 400 metres. Not ideal with two suitcases and several bags of merchandise. It also took some time to get a taxi, which made us start to worry that we might not arrive in time for our train. Note that when you arrive at the drop off are for the train station, it is quite a long walk across a square to the station itself. Be sure to leave an extra 5 minutes for this.
5. Communication. When communicating with the hotel prior to arrival, we asked for a room on the top floor, which is the 5th floor. We were assured this would be arranged. However, on arriving at the hotel, we were initially assigned a room on the 4th floor. We mentioned the earlier conversation and were initially told there were no rooms available on the 5th floor. It wasn't until another attendant arrived, and seemed to check a chat history on the computer, that we were given a room on the 5th floor.
6. Sound insulation. While the room is quiet, the noise from the hallway can be easily heard due to poor insulation around the doors.
All in all a good stay but some improvements needed.

GGuest UserThe service of this hotel is pretty good. The hotel will arrange for someone to pick you up from the train station and send you back when you are leaving. The lady at the front desk is very friendly.
Hotel room is not big but it's functional. Certain parts of the room are slightly worn out. But for the price it's not too bad.
There's a lift in the hotel and cars can go directly to the front door of this hotel so you don't have to carry your luggages and drag them in the town.
About 10-15mins walk to the river.

XXiaoyu？xiaoyu！It is strongly recommended that if it is a birdcage room, it is better for one person!
If you want normal comfort! You must have enough money to get a big room!
The whole hotel is distributed in the ”Shenfeng Scenic Area”, with small bird cages and big houses in a unique shape! Very interesting! It's just that some of the infrastructure in the birdcage room will be very poor, but the big room (expensive) is much better. In addition, it takes a lot of physical strength to enter and exit the hotel (except for the elevator at the beginning).
You can visit the Shenfeng Scenic Area in your spare time, and there is also a light show at night in the Shenfeng Temple Square not far away (high), and there are performances when the weather is good!
It is worth mentioning that the ”breakfast”! I read other people's comments that the breakfast is very bad. But my experience is really good.
”Steamed” eggs are definitely better than outside.

The most surprising and interesting thing is the cartoons on the connecting corridors between the various guest rooms in the hotel. There is also a twelve zodiac trail! (There is no way at the end, so you need to go back)
Oh, by the way! There are real peacocks in the high-rise area of the scenic area (higher than the Shenfeng Temple Square)! Alive!
There is also a large area of ”pompom flowers” in an area called ”Flying Bird Camp”.
The entire scenic area can be visited in 2 hours (my hiking ability)! And it was in the rain! There was no one! I felt like I had entered the ”fairyland” because there was really no one except me. Oh! Be careful of snakes, I didn't encounter any (fortunately)! I didn't go to the Nanhua Temple at the highest point, and it was definitely not because I was too tired to climb up, but because there was a locked door and no one opened it.
