"It’s a little far to the nearest sufficient convenience store and the town is also quite the walk - thankfully the transport is quite handy though. Our check in was pleasant but check out wasn’t as pleasant. The free mini bar was appreciated but it seemed like replacing it the next day was a little bit of a chore and we only got half as much. Amenities weren’t bad but not blown away. The room also has no privacy and glass screens limit the cut off between shower and bedroom space so not ideal"

"Hotel is located just outside the Salzburg main train station. This make it convenient for travellers planning to travell by train. The 150 bus to Hallstatt is also just 100 m from the hotel.
The old town is about 20 ~25 mins, and Mirabell about 15 mins walking distance away.
Many restaurants nearby, big convenience store inside the train station.
Hotel breakfast has good views of the moutains and castle. Room is a bit old and toilet a bit small. Otherwise, it is clean and tidy. Average size.
Overall, good value considering the location."

"1st thing first - the location of this hotel is 2nd to none as it is just across the Salzburg main train station and the main bus station. Moving around is hence super convenient. There is also a supermarket that opens late at the train station for grocery needs.
However, room wise, we have a room for 4 and the room is really really tiny. With 2 beds, one of which is the sofa bed, there is hardly any space left. Amenities in the room can also be improved. For instance, there is no kettle provided in the room. You have to go to the lobby to use a common one. No fridge in the room. No housekeeping unless you ask for it. No coffee and tea provided. Only 2 cups in the toilet. It's the little things that are missing that would have made this a really nice place to stay. Parking is at 21 Euros per day. Pretty reasonable I would say.
If you are for convenience to public transport, this is very much it for you, but comfort is lacking."

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful experience in this B&B. The room was clean, which echoed with all the reviews here. You could experience the passion and perseverance of the owners in keeping everything not only neat and tidy, but amazingly dustless and spotless! If you look at the mirror, and the tissue box in the toilet, the level of shine and reflection is at its top! The bed was big and comfortable. The design of the room was modern. Tea and coffee are available inside the room.
Breakfast comprised of a wide variety of fresh fruits chopped into small cubes and delicately put into little cocktail glasses, all sorts of bread, yoghurt, ham, spreads. Alex would welcome all customers warmly with offerings of coffee, tea and eggs that were made by him. I saw on reviews that he made perfect eggs and it was really true! The fried eggs that I ordered were prepared with crispy edges, what a morning delight!
All the details and passion ( and the amount of time and dedication one can imagine) that this family put into this B&B deserve a 5-star rating. From its hardware to attitude, this is the best I have ever experienced as a tourist.

携携程旅行顾问JoaLooking at the high-net commentary, I finally saw the charm of the front desk elder sister, warm and cheerful, humorous and intimate. One seems to have settled the hotel's work. I saw that we had arranged two large rooms and introduced the room personally. In-house facilities and usage, proud to tell you that these functions are made in Germany, not only send a gift bag in each room, but also tell you that all the drinks in the refrigerator are free, and the service attitude is the best in the entire Eastern European line. However, there is no air conditioning in the room. It is estimated that the old building cannot be installed. Only Dyson's fan, the room we stayed in is still a bit stuffy! There are three large windows in the friend's room, which is well ventilated and more comfortable than us!

YYorkshire visitingI recently stayed at the Dorint City Hotel Salzburg and I can highly recommend it! The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes away from the main attractions of the city. The rooms are modern and comfortably furnished, with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to provide tips on sights and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and a wide selection.
Overall, my stay at the Dorint City Hotel Salzburg was a wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Salzburg!

GGuest UserGreat location right next to the railway and bus station, and only a short walk into the old town.
Large supermarket located just round the corner where we could buy food if not eating out, and kitchen facilities were very handy. We could also eat our own food in the large reception area.
The only downside was our room was very dark as there wasn’t a proper window, but other than that, it was good value and an ideal place to stay for a few nights.

SSKMCarmenDidn’t really have a good experience on this but thank god Trip did compensate a small fee. The room is good, the hotel is good BUT whoever that has booked please read this:-
1. Make sure they send you a pin code to enter the hotel at least 3 days before or else keep emailing and calling before you reach. There is no workers all automated if you reach and have no code to enter you are stranded! Yes there is a phone to call but Im not sure why the phone doesn’t work properly!! I called 7 times only to 1 time they pick up. And finally after waiting in the cold for 30 mins they let me know the pin code to enter. Its very hard to contact the hotel maybe because im not using local phone number. Contacted trip and they themselves couldn’t contact them in time. According to the hotel, there should be an email from them with instructions and code.
2. Yes, I do love the concept of having no one to check in but at least leave like an ipad or a screen for guest to check and contact???
3. Rooms were nice, blinds were automatic. Clean and have smart tv. They do have elevators thank god.
Besides the ‘PIN number’ enter check in, its all good.

JJinwooThe hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay.
Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive.
The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice.
One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is?
Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects.
Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening.
First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this.
I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing.
The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details.
The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here.
Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100.
(To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf)
