Located on the outskirts of Innsbruck the hostel is relatively easy to get to. From the central station you just walk around the corner and catch the number 3 tram (heading for Amras). After a few stops you get off at `Pilippine-welser strabe’ and then walk for about ten minutes. Incidentally, if your flight is a morning one, don’t turn up at the hostel in the hope of an early check-in as there is no receptionist until 14.00. So unless you want to sit outside and twiddle your thumbs you would be better off placing your bags in one of the rail station lockers and having a look around the city. Our room was small and basic (no television etc.) and our allocated bathroom was across the corridor. But it was all high spec and, in keeping with the rest of the hostel, spotlessly clean. The receptionists were polite, knowledgeable and helpful (don’t forget to ask for your welcome card which gives you free travel on the trams and buses within the city). Breakfast was more than sufficient to keep us going for most of the day, although some might feel that the choice on offer a bit limited. Should we ever return to Innsbruck we’d be happy to stay at the Marmota again.

The transportation is very convenient, just next to the train station, and the attractions are all within walking distance. The sound insulation is very good, you will not hear the noisy people and cars downstairs, a good experience!!

The location of this hotel is pretty good. You walk from the historical center of Innsbruck towards the bridge, you cross it and then go up a little bit. It’s at most 10 minutes by foot. The hotel seems small but nice. There is an issue with the parking though. It’s on the sides of the building and very limited. We warned the staff that we will arrive two hours earlier the check in and they said it was fine, however on that day the front desk person didn’t want to allow us to park (later she did after we mentioned the emails). We were also not given the room even though it was ready (we know because they okayed to leave our luggage there). I understand the rules but I worked in the hospitality business for many years and traveled a lot and it’s a common practice to give the guests their room a bit earlier if it’s ready. Except this not most pleasant check in, our stay was fine. The room was tiny but clean. The breakfast was simple but nice. We thought it was a good value. If you need a budget stay, you can consider this place.

I stayed here for 3 nights, reception is only staffed between 3 and 7, I arrived by train at 12 so I left my luggage in the station lockers for 3hrs. I would say this was quite a basic hotel, it had a TV but no fridge, tea making facilities, safe or hairdryer. The breakfast was ok, bread rolls, croissants, meat, cheese, boiled egg, cereals, coffee, fruit juices. My pillow was very soft so I requested a second pillow via the booking app which they duly obliged the next day. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station and also to the old town, however it is on a busy street, the traffic noise was not an issue but the groups of people talking loudly on the street at 3am was. This happened on 2 of the 3 nights I stayed.

Soundproofing: Average WIFI: Free of charge in the room as well in the hotel. Connection speed was slow and quite stable. I did not have any problem to connect all my devices. TV: Large flat TV with also international channels Air conditioning/heating system: Did not understand how air conditioning was working, temperature was not 100% comfortable. Wardrobe: Open, enough for 2-3 days trip. Mini-bar: not available. Key/Card: Key card working well, no problem opening the door and even to keep it same pockets of mobile FACILITIES OF MY INTEREST Parking: Hotel does provide this service but I did not use it. Shuttle to Airport service: Hotel does not provide this service. Gym/SPA: Not present. BREAKFAST: from 6:30 to 9:30 am, not a wide range of products but all is necessary for a basic breakfast was present and quality was fine. I would rate 7/10 for a 3 stars hotel. Not far from the city center, there is a small church on the edge of the hotel, listening to the bells of the church feels very comfortable. There is a parking lot, suitable for self-driving tour. Good breakfast, suitable for children, I booked a family room, a double bed, a sofa bed, toilet and toilet are independent.

If you ride a motorcycle you must book here. They may not have secure parking but what they do have is motorcycle positive staff. We turned up late due to the weather and they still accommodated us at midnight even though they close the reception at 7pm. On our return visit we had motorcycle issues and the reception staff went absolutely above and beyond to help keep us on the road. The food is excellent and the staff are amazing. They use a night entrance system to gain entry after hours and this is perfect for access once checked in. Bikers, you will kick yourself if you don’t use this place. Biker friendly is an understatement.

Location: The hotel is located in the old town of Innsbruck, a 15-minute walk from the railway station and a 5-minute walk from the Golden Roof, which is very convenient. Facilities: The hotel is very mini, the store is small, the elevator is small, the room is small, but it is clean, the room does not have a hot pot, you need to ask the front desk, breakfast is ok, bread, ham, fruit, drinks and salmon.

Great hotel! Well located to walk along the river into the Old Town. Standard rooms not huge but very well presented and looks like everything was new. Cosy reception area and bar. The staff were super friendly and when we checked in gave us a voucher for a complimentary drink at the bar and when we got to our room we found little Milka chocolates had been left on the pillow which was a really nice touch. Breakfast was also good – variety of things both hot and cold on offer. We would definitely stay here again.
