Lovely hotel covering a large area. Food was brilliant with numerous different options for all meals. There was also a large vegan option at all meal times even though I am not vegan myself. So many options. Rooms were adequate and comfortable all with free security boxes and air con. Rooms cleaned daily and cannot complain about cleanliness. Several bars during day and evening and surprisingly many premium drinks were on the all inclusive. They also have several free cocktails if that is your thing, Location is on the edge of town, so it is a walk to amenities, which caused us a problem as the temperature was very high until late evening. However it is well worth the walk along the promenade. The pools were surprisingly good with the main pool being an infinity pool. There was all day entertainment, but the evenings are mainly about children so there is not a lot for adults. We had one fire and LED evening during the two weeks which was good. The entertainment team work hard to keep the clients happy and overall the hotel is one of the better ones we have stayed in.

Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall sehr für Kinder geeignet. Ein großer Pool mit verschiedenen Rutschen und Spielgeräten und ein großer Pool zum Schwimmen und plantschen - sehr sauber alles. Es gab genügend Liegen sowohl an den Pools als auch am Meer. Ein schöner Sandstrand mit genügend Duschen und direkt beim Hotel. Dass man am Pool und Meer Plastikbecher benutzt, die aber wieder gespült werden, ist nachvollziehbar. Man möchte ja nicht unbedingt in Scherben von zerbrochenen Gläsern steigen. Zum Frühstück, mittags und abends gab es natürlich Gläser für die Getränke (die man sich selber zapfen konnte nach Lust und Laune - zum Frühstück einen tollen frisch gepressten Orangensaft). Die verschiedenen Kaffeegetränke waren auch gut. Und überhaupt war das Essen am Büffet immer reichlich und gut und sehr wohl auch griechisch. Wer sich da beschwert, jammert auf hohem Niveau. Die Zimmer wurden immer sehr sauber geputzt und wir haben jeden Tag eine große Flasche Wasser bekommen. Das Personal am Empfang, im Restaurant und Poolbar und auch die Animateure waren sehr freundlich. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Berg,- bzw. Stadtblick gebucht und das war sehr laut. Nach einer Nacht haben wir ein Upgrade auf ein Zimmer im 4. Stock bekommen mit geringem Aufpreis. Also unbedingt Zimmer mit Meerblick buchen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Einzig und allein der Transfer war sowohl bei der Hinfahrt als auch bei der Rückfahrt seeeehr lang. Für mich nicht so schlimm, da ich von Kreta was gesehen habe, aber mit kleinen Kindern etwas anstrengend.

We had an amazing stay at Petra Mare Hotel! The staff in every area were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel is large, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very well organized. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the facilities—especially the pools and beach access—made everything perfect. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Crete! Very good hotel with stunning views on the sea or mountains. It's located actually right on the beach, two steps and you are there. Hotel room was big, cosy and very comfortable. Additional couch let us drink coffe feeling like at home. The bathroom was great. Shower such big and comfortable that easily 3 people could shower at the same time. Rooms and bathroom were clean. The furniture and bath equipment looked good. Food was very various, delicious, prepared in a visible space. We had such a great time in the hotel. It's perfect location for families with kids. The kids infrastracture is very good, a lot of places for them to play and have fun. The swimming pool infinity - type was amazing. I couldn't decide what was better - to watch the sea being in the pool or watching the mountains and city being in the sea. Both views stunning. Important thing as well is the check in - took 3 minutes. Appreciate it especially after few hours of trip. In general the whole staff was always ready to help and supportive. Holidays in that hotel was a great experience and I want to come back there again. I will recomend it to everyone as that place deserves it.

Not the best way to experience Crete
Good location on beach, coffee, tea & kettle in room but amazingly no creamer? When asked, receptionist said they don't provide creamer...so why bother with tea & coffe then? Buffet plentiful, food okay for mass tourism. We were all inclusive but ate all but 2 of our meals elsewhere. Pool & beach always busy, lots of kids. Animation team were good and water sports were highlight of our 1 week stay. Recommended if you like all-inclusive, have a big family and aren't interested in experiencing the real Crete.

Leider hat unsere Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert. Nach versuchter Reparatur ging sie 5 Minuten. Weitere Reklamation wurde nicht beachtet. Daher sind wir nach einer Nacht angereist
