There were no hotel options in front of Ichinoseki Station, so I chose this one, but...
I didn't know that check-in was at 4pm, so it was too late. I was told that a membership fee was required to check in at 3pm...
As I was on a business trip, it was helpful to have breakfast included, but...the venue was like that of a cheap hotel...they made me eat in the entrance lobby...
I've stayed at many other hotels before, but this was the first time I'd seen a restaurant that doubled as a lobby. It was unsettling, the cold outside air came in, and it was just miserable.
I don't know about other Toyoko Inns, but they've taken the wrong approach to service. There were some religious-sounding books in the room, and they lent out cassettes...books about introspection...
Very suspicious. Maybe it's just a self-satisfied service due to this company culture...This is a hotel chain I would rather not use if possible.
