First of all I want to say this review is on no way a reflection on the staff, who were absolutely lovely. We visited 15-23 October I have never had to write a bad review so this is unfortunate. This was a holiday booked during a flash sale through BA and the price was very good for 1 week All Inc. After reading the reviews left by others we were confident it would be a nice stay. We have holiday'd in Mallora and Gran Canaria the last couple of years so Ibiza was supposed to be a nice change. On arrival it was obvious to see that this was not for us. It was not 4 star as portrayed. There was a problem with a booking in front of us, so the wait to check in was long and both reception staff were dealing with that booking. We were greeted politely and given a quick map run through. We were in a room in block 6/6108 It was like a 1980's housing estate, the stairs were dark, dirty and extremely uninviting. The design looked a little like a very old Butlins, which is fine if you are expecting to go to Butlins in 1980. The pathways were very loud due to the small paving bricks not great for those around the pool. The door to our room looked filthy and neither me or my friend wanted to touch it. The only way to describe the room was camping indoors. Firstly it was painted the worst beige colour, very depressing. Granted one wall had a bright flowered wallpaper but it didn't help at all. The bathroom had no privacy and the shower was only divided from the bed by frosted glass?? You can look straight through to the bathroom of the rooms opposite because the blocks are close together, just horrid. There was something stained on the wall too. The noise was terrible. Voices, you could hear every word through the walls and doors. Drunk people shouting and banging along corridors. The grounds are concrete and just rather dire. Food was mediocre to good. The food under the warming lights was often cold. The fresh grill was best but often fish was under cooked although there was some lovely tuna one night. The staff were very nice, helpful, funny and a credit to the hotel. We could not bear to stay after the 1st night so my friend paid £500.00 for a bungalow 200 metres down the road and we only came back to eat as we were all inclusive. The drinks were ok although the ready mixed cocktails were highly undesirable. Food was available all day although we only ate chips. I have never been to a hotel where you don't dress for dinner. The dress code was non existent and not something a 4 star hotel would allow. There is a beach a few minutes walk away and the bus goes to San Antonio in 30 mins. We went to Ibiza Old Town by cab for 31 Euros, but you can get a bus from San Antonio. Overall very very disappointed and definitely won't be returning
