Wonderful and friendly staff! We loved the bungalows and their view over the waterhole. Very confortable and close to nature at the same time. Good food, good wine. But the best of the best was our ranger : we are deeply grateful to Zeb and hope to be back soon (the sooner the better) ! Huge thanks to all the staff who took such good care of us and our son !

Another outstanding visit to Ivory Lodge. The courtesy and responsiveness of the staff is without equal. Great game drives. The watering hole just outside the rooms brought an abundance of wildlife. Bathrooms in the rooms could use a bit of updating and wifi in the rooms would be nice. But really very little to complain or worry. This was my 4th visit over the last 25yrs and will definitely come again.

The reception was very impersonal and very formal. The accommodation is currently being renovated, it looks very good and has good intentions. However, from the guest's point of view there are still some problems with practicality. The hide, which was great in itself, is no longer the absolute highlight, as there are now many watering holes in the area which the animals can get to more easily. However, it is still a great place to enjoy. The hide was not mentioned during the welcome ceremony. See comments below. Staff. Feeling for guests. The staff... well, how should I put it... initiative is not welcome, or they lack experience. After each course of food, the table is cleared away meticulously and with great effort and returned to the kitchen, but the guest waits what feels like half an hour for the next course, and that with 6 guests in the room.

Très beau lodge avec de grandes chambres individuelles sur pilotis dotées de balcon donnant sur le point d'eau où viennent boire de nombreux animaux (éléphants, antilopes, zèbres, phacochères ...)
Excellents pisteurs attachés au lodge, ce qui nous a permis le soir de notre arrivée d'approcher un lion et deux lionnes à quelques mètres et de voir beaucoup d'animaux.
Très bonne cuisine, savoureuse et avec un grand soin d'hygiène, avec une chef attachée au lodge

A real gem hidden in the bush. You will be beyond surprised when you arrive at Ivory Lodge. From the amazing thatch lounge that looks onto the watering hole to the friendly staff that give it its homely feel. My room overlooked elephant and buck at the watering hole on arrival. A short walk to the viewing deck took me the closest I have ever been to an elephant. Bring a camera as game is abundant. Sipping G&T’s with Khulu and the team a real highlight.Highly recommend.

This lodge was our home for 3 nights on Overseas Adventure Travel's "Southern Africa & Lake Kariba" adventure. It was a perfect place to spend those nights after spending the days in the bush looking for and seeing animals nearby and at Hwange National Park. The staff was friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived. The amenities were perfect for a safari adventure but not so rustic as to feel like we were really camping. Loved it.
