First time at Baron Palace but hugely impressed with the whole set up. Only 35 minutes from Hurghada Airport it is very large and very imposing when you arrive. We were only in the “ basic” room described as deluxe it was roomy as was the on-suite, nice balcony included. The food was very good breakfast, lunch and dinner, 6 restaurants plus two of the pools had their own bar and restaurants, one of these is an adults only for those not bringing kids and not wanting to listen to other peoples. 30 minute walk along the beech takes you to Sahi Hasheesh some nice bars and restaurants. Staff could not have done more and everyone was very friendly, we would go again

Mixed view on the hotel. The place is very well furnished, and food and service of a high standard. But the staff are all generally male (apart from lovely Phillipino ladies at some of the bars and spa). They treated women as second class when serving a table, although took interest in my 16 year old daughter, which was rather creepy. She felt uncomfortable and we decided we couldn’t leave her by herself. I believe this is an Egyptian trait - but you would think a 5 star hotel would treat women and men equally regardless of the culture, in a 5 star hotel. Felt very disappointed. We visited via Tui operators, and paid for a day trip to Luxor which we had to cancel. It took a few reminders for Shady, the Tui agent there, to reimburse us. Infact I don’t think we’ve been reimbursed as yet….we cancelled as we didn’t want to leave our daughter alone in the hotel and she didn’t want to join us on the trip.

Superior room, low season + Very nice and service minded staff + Nice alacarte restaurants, easy to get a table + Generous all iclusive with massage, haircut, minibar, laundry etc. + Nice pool areas, good gym, good wifi indoors and in the beach restaurants + Large "Adult only areas" - The room and the corridor gave a slightly worn impression - Poor information about activities etc. - Poor sound proofing to the corridor

I’ve stayed at this hotel three times, and it’s really disappointing to see how it’s declining. On this visit, my experience was far from what I expected. I had several issues during my stay. First, I was disappointed that the GM didn’t reach out to me after I sent my concerns. Instead, I was sent the head of culinary to discuss my experience, which seemed odd as my issues had nothing to do with food. It felt like my concerns were not taken seriously. If I were the manager, I would have immediately acknowledged the issue and sent someone on my behalf to listen to the guest’s concerns. Additionally, I had problems with my room. Many of the electrical outlets were not working, and when I requested a multiple charger, they brought one from the “stone age” that didn’t work. Afterward, they provided a new one, but the cable was incredibly short. Also, the water temperature in the shower was inconsistent—sometimes the hot water would hit me so hard it could have caused burns. When I asked to see other rooms upon arrival, they showed me a dirty room, which made me uncomfortable, so I decided not to consider any upgrades. I had dinner in the Italian restaurant, and it was a disaster. The food was terrible, and we waited for an hour before it arrived. Despite these issues, I want to acknowledge that the rest of the staff, especially at the bars and restaurants, were doing their best. They were friendly and helpful, and I have no complaints about them. It’s really sad to see how the hotel has changed. I’ve recommended this hotel to several people in the past, but after this visit, I’m not sure I will again.

This hotel is simply stunning. The service received from every single member of staff was outstanding you felt like they all really wanted us there and wanted us to have an amazing time, which we did. Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean with very good standard of housekeeping. We were left sweet treats on a number of occasions and the mini bar was replenished daily. The bathroom was large and had lots of nice toiletries however it would benefit from a little refurbishment. I would have preferred a walk-in shower as opposed to a bath with shower over it (hadn’t noticed this on room description). The shower itself lacked power and constantly went hot and cold. Excellent laundry service available. We paid extra for a sea view club room but were a little disappointed that our balcony got no sun at all so we were unable to sit out and enjoy it and the view. We only ate in the buffet restaurant for breakfast preferring to eat lunch and dinner in the numerous a la carte restaurants (no limit on number of times you can visit). Good choice of delicious food available in all restaurants. Premium drinks available on Premium AI package but limited brands on offer, wine not great and no sparkling wine available. On the only occasion we went to the buffet for dinner there was only pasta available for vegetarians so I went to guest services who quickly booked us into the Mexican restaurant then the next day the executive chef requested to meet with me to discuss what I’d like to eat for the rest of my holiday. We visited in February, hotel wasn’t full so was fairly quiet (apart from a two day conference) there wasn’t a lot going on by way of entertainment just a pianist in the lobby bar and a singer every night in the salsa bar so a nice relaxing atmosphere. The beach is lovely with plenty of sun loungers and cabanas available and has a separate adult only area, fantastic service from the beach team who made sure we were comfortable and had a constant supply of drinks. Pools are immaculately clean but very cold, separate adult only pools and again very attentive team making sure we were happy and well watered! There’s lots of upselling going on ie room upgrades and spa packages and we were hassled quite a lot on the beach by people trying to sell us day trips and experiences. There’s also a small shopping arcade adjoining the hotel but unfortunately the shop keepers are too persistent and don’t allow you to browse so we didn’t buy anything. We would visit Baron Palace again but wouldn’t pay for the Club upgrade as it didn’t offer good value for money.

We have spent 10 nights at the Baron Palace Resort as a couple. I’ll start with the staff there is plenty of them and they are all friendly and hard working. Everyone seems to genuinely want you to have a good time whether you tip or not. The hotel and grounds are spotless and very well kept, someone is always cleaning or maintaining something somewhere. Sometimes the ground staff are cutting grass at 7am which may annoy some who like to sleep in but we are early birds so didn’t find it too much of an issue. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, we did find the shower keep going hot and cold which was annoying. They were always cleaned to a good standard. The food at lunch time at the pool restaurants was always tasty and probably the best lunch menu we have had at a AI resort. The buffet at breakfast was a good standard but we found the juices and coffee poor. We found the buffet at dinner and evening meal average and a bit disappointing compared on the food elsewhere in the hotel. One major hygiene issue for breakfast though, if you sit outside to have your breakfast they keep the milk under a open counter in the sun which isn’t great when it’s so warm but on top of that small birds drink out the milk jugs and they are just passed out to guests like it’s no issue. The birds are drinking out of these jugs and who knows what else is going in them when they are sat on the edges, after seeing this we didn’t sit outside again unfortunately, this needs addressing urgently! The only slight negative I had with the staff was at meal times as they are so eager to remove plates from the table sometimes I hadn’t even finished chewing my food and the plate is being removed never mind other people at the table finish eating too, might only be a personal thing but I would prefer to wait for everyone to finish eating before plates being removed. We went to 4 a la cartes, we found the Italian and BBQ average but the Egyptian and Asian were good and we would recommend going to those two. We found all drinks served from the bars to be a good standard but you are charged for milkshakes which has been free at other hotels we’ve been to in Egypt. The pools are nice and are kept clean however the infinity pool is too cold to be comfortable in, the adults pool isn’t much better but you can manage to have a little swim, the family pool is by far the warmest. It’s a shame certain pools are barely used due to the temperature as people have paid to use these facilities as part of their holiday. Usual issue with beds being reserved and even staff members reserving beds for people but you get this everywhere but doesn’t mean it’s right. There are plenty of beds but beds are left vacant for hours while some people have to sit on the beds in the shade. The WiFi around the pool drops in and out constantly and there are a few areas you don’t get any which needs looking at. A small thing for the hotel to look at, the signage for the men’s and women’s toilets at the adults pool
