A group of us stayed here a week ago. The hotel is very good, nicely appointed with really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are on the small side, but plenty of storage including hooks all over the wall and elasticated pockets. There's a comfortable bar, with open fire. You can access the slopes about 100m away, by walking up to the car park and skiing down to the lift. You can also ski back to the carpark, although it does entail some polling and the top of the last piste can get very cut up later in the day. Breakfasts are typical for this type of hotel. Some hot food, plenty of cereals and fresh bread, fruit and yoghurt and meats and cheese. Evening meals are served, with a set menu each night. They will get an alternative if there is something you don't like, but it's best to ask in the morning. Menus are varied and well thought out, and food is very tasty. However, portions are quite small. The biggest problem is that the food is lukewarm, and occasionally cold. Not helped that it is served on cold plates. I did comment on this several times, but there was no improvement over the week. Drinks in the bar are quite expensive, but so is the resort. All in all a very nice place, which would be excellent if they sorted out the food.

We deliberated , looked at reviews, read the indifferent ones… booked, and have spent the best week at one of the best chalet hotels in France we’ve had ! The Food : Excellent , never had a problem with the heat of food, it was delicious, and they cater for you if you don’t like something on the menu ! My wife is a vegetarian, her words ‘ the best menu, catering for me I’ve ever had’! The Restaurant : Lovely size, intimate, enables you to talk to other guests about your day! A small front of house team who excel at what they do! The bar : lovely warm atmosphere, great views, comfy place to relax The rooms: we were in 201 , just the 2 of us, ample size, great use of space using hoots with a modern feel! Bathroom is big. Great warm / hot shower. Views are tremendous! Location: supermarket 4 minute stroll, bars locally, Smithy’s, 8, Cave… we liked strobe in the village. Ski in and out if there’s enough snow ! but only a 2 minute walk to a piste bashed entry point to the sur lift. Overall a lovely stay with friendly staff, it’s a scandinavian hotel chain and as such the team are lovely, friendly and keen to please. I promise you you will not be dissapointed. If you are used to ski hotels, you will know how these operate and how these hotels feel…. this hotel and the team is superb! All we lacked in the week was a fresh dump of snow ! not sure we can blame Crystal or the hotel team for this !

Myself & my husband stayed here for a week ski holiday and were very pleased with our stay. The staff were very friendly & made you feel welcome. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a minutes walk from the hotel to access the slopes/lift which took you straight to the top of Le Signal and also an easy ski run home. The views from the hotel were also amazing, all rooms have a view of the mountain which is the same as their bar where you can enjoy a drink after skiing and watch the sun go down! We were also very pleased with quality of the food. They provide a set 3 course menu in the evening which you can read the menu for in the morning so therefore if you didn’t fancy what’s on they either tried to accommodate or you could decide to eat in the town instead. We had the best truffle mushroom soup to start on the first night and had to ask for the recipe! Would definitely recommend :)

We booked this hotel with Crystal and are so happy we did. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The food, both breakfast but particularly dinner, were of a very high standard. Although a set 3 course evening menu, it was varied and really delicious. Rooms are spacious and all with incredible mountain views. The bar is great too with a beautiful terrace, perfect for apres ski drinks! Access to the ski lifts is very quick and simple just a hundred metres or so away although probably not suitable for complete beginners. Ski area is great with lots of slopes for all abilities. Very sunny the week we went but pistes kept in great condition. There is lots to do in the resort too if you don't want to ski all day and all amenities easily accessed from the hotel. All in all a great hotel, great overall holiday and highly recommended. Great Crystal choice! Thank you.

I don't know where to start. We stayed here on the first week of season in December 2024 and I had the best holiday I've had in years. The hotel was incredibly deceiving in how well it hid its brilliance. From the moment we stepped off the coach and entered the hotel, we were welcomed by the wonderful team, who gave us a thorough introduction to the hotel, including breakfast and dinner times, the bar location, and other key details. Their warm and welcoming energy really set the tone for an incredible stay. I booked the holiday through Crystal, who were also fantastic, and I was initially apprehensive about the hotel since we got quite a good deal. However, I was blown away. Le Petit Prince may be rated as a 3 star hotel, but it absolutely deserves a 4 star rating (if not more!). Every aspect exceeded my expectations. See below for a breakdown of our week. Half Board: The half board was brilliant. It felt like dining in a Michelin-star restaurant every evening. The service was just as outstanding - huge shoutout to the whole team, especially Emily, who made our stay extra special. Every morning, it was a joy to chat with the staff, and honestly, I’d book here again just to see everyone again. Dinner: Every evening featured a different three-course meal of outstanding quality. The variety and quality of dishes was excellent. This was a real surprise as it wasn't advertised in great detail on their website or social pages. 10/10 each evening. Breakfast: A simple but perfect self service buffet - don’t let the word "buffet" put you off. It was thoughtfully curated with eggs, beans, a different meat based protein each day (bacon or sausage), fresh fruit, bread, pastries, fresh coffee, tea, juice, and even warm plates. It really was the best way to start the day/ The Room & Facilities Our twin room was superb. It had stunning views of the mountains and a lovely balcony. The decor and amenities were modern, tasteful, and far beyond what I expected. It was really clean, and most importantly comfy. Standout Highlights The Service: The hotel team made our entire experience unforgettable. We felt truly looked after, and the level of hospitality was second to none. Having never been at the resort, the team helped us get our bearings and suggested some really lovely spots to go to in the area. I cannot thank the team enough for such a great week. Location: Le Petit Prince sits just above the Grand Sure lift, a chairlift that takes you to a very central spot with pink (lower than green) and red run that take you directly to the main part of the ski resort. Accessing this lift was a breeze, you have two options to reach it: - Walk three minutes down the road with your skis to reach a piste leading to the lift entrance. - Or walk up the road 30 seconds and jump onto the tail end of the blue piste and be there in half the time. The hotel is also a 3 minute walk from a ***** of bars, ideal if that’s your scene! And no, noise doesn't travel from thes

The hotel bar, restaurant and sun terrace are beautiful with fantastic views of the mountains. The food for adults is delicious - but the kids’ menu is a bit random and not what you’d expect. Our 8 year old ate a lot of bread as he didn’t like the options, which are NOT your usual children’s nuggets, pizza, fish fingers etc. The staff are lovely - although a bit inefficient and dinner times could be very slow… The hotel ski hire is handy - but with limited selection. The location is on the edge of town ….its an 8 minute walk. And it’s not great for ski school timings as the Grand Sure chair lift, doesn’t start in time to get you to lessons and neither does the 0836 bus… We ended up getting the 0801 bus - but had to ask for an earlier breakfast, as it doesn’t start till 7.30am. They accommodated this, but a bit begrudgingly. The room (quad with balcony) was nice, but away down in the lower ground floor. Not much storage or hanging space. But it was quiet with nice views. We booked with Crystal, who were great pre travel…but seem to fall down in their communications between head office and resort. Little real resort knowledge of London staff meant that we had a few problems on arrival due to wrong lesson level etc. Crystal put you into ESF lessons at Grand Rousse. I don’t know why - Bergers is closer… A few other Crystal problems such as the intermediate skis we had paid for not being available., the full leisure pass not being coded onto our ski pass. And an instructor losing our child on the slopes. But these were not the fault of the hotel and the reps did deal with it all. Overall, we found Alpe’dHuez too big a resort for our liking, so we wouldn’t go back. But it’s a beautiful hotel, with great food and friendly staff…if you don’t mind being on the outskirts. You CAN ski home…..down a long mogul red, or along a very long and flat green. With our kids, we went for the latter..

Good hotel in great position with a chairlift just below the hotel. Rooms are fresh with excellent shower room Food at the hotel is good with breakfast a buffet with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. Dinner is a single fixed menu although if you ask staff they can arrange another dish if you don’t like a course. A small problem was that a few times food at dinner was not nearly hot enough. Staff are really nice apart from the barman who closed the bar early even although we were drinking in it.

I had booked a week at this hotel for a skiing vacation, but following a fall I unfortunately had to cancel my stay. Despite my efforts to contact them (several phone calls and emails sent), I have received no response from them. I understand that cancellations can be complicated to manage, but the total lack of communication is unacceptable, especially for an establishment of this category. Responsive, human customer service is essential, especially in unexpected situations like this. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel due to their total lack of follow-up.
