EEstelaKThis amazing mountainside bed and breakfast is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Our room had a spectacular view of the city and a nice porch. I later found out the owner had upgraded us to the best room for free since it was empty. Incredible hotel and customer service! We arrived tired after hiking around Toroko Gorge and didn’t want to get a taxi to go to the city to get food. We were going to eat some bread we had with us, but they made us a big pot of delicious noodle soup and didn’t charge us anything! Breakfast was yummy traditional ********* food. They also let us do laundry there for free. The owner gave me his phone number and offered to drive us into town whenever we needed. He said he likes to welcome his guests like friends who are visiting from out of town. My daughter loved playing with the hotel dog, Ahua, and kittens. Just walking around the hotel, you can enjoy fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery. What an incredible stay. So much cheaper and more relaxing than Taipei. I am telling all my friends. I can’t wait to come back!

The guesthouse is very close to Ocean Park only 2 minutes by car. The young boss has good service, and is handsome and hassle Talent, currently single parents are helping their son to recruit a girlfriend. The room equipment and the air-conditioning machine are operating too loudly, and they can’t sleep well. I hope it can be improved.

TTomFraenkNice Hotel, central located, only a few minutes walk to central station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room with enough space. Free bike rental, breakfast and dinner included. In addition the hotel provides coffee, drinks, snacks and ice cream. Definitely me and my wife can recommended this beautiful hotel.

112_JC_12The hotel is located a little further from the city, the lobby is spacious, the counter staff are friendly, and the check-in procedure is fast and accurate.
This time I chose the plan without breakfast. There was a discount if I chose to purchase breakfast on site, but I wanted to have breakfast nearby the next day.
The room was upgraded upon check-in to a room with a city view. The room was large and very clean. There were two cans of drinks in the refrigerator and a kettle that could be filled with water from the water dispenser in the corridor.
The bathroom has a large bathtub. It is very comfortable to take a bath when returning to the hotel at night after traveling. The water volume and temperature in the bathroom are stable, which is good.
The bed felt a bit soft, but the pillows were quite comfortable. The only downside was that the sound insulation was not very good, and I could still hear some noise from the neighboring room.

GGuest UserUpdates: I had a great stay at Fullon Hotel Hualien. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has awesome view of the harbor. The location is ideal for me—close to the coast, at the start of the bike trail, and in a peaceful area. I loved being able to borrow a bike from the hotel, making it easy to explore the bike-friendly town.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Even those who didn’t speak English used Google Translate to communicate, which I appreciated. The only downside was difficulty reaching the hotel before my arrival to confirm the station pick-up, which wasn’t sorted out and confirmed until the day before I arrived.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. Most likely will stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. Hopefully, I can reach them easier next time.

2025/01/13: Impossible to contact as a foreign visitor. I tried to send messages to the hotel via both email and LINE that were listed on their website since I don't live in TW. I tried to arrange for their pick up service from Hualien Station which is included with my stay. I have sent my inquiry for the details. I finally managed to get messages back one time via LINE after a day with a website that's not in English and a picture showing only a phone number for booking. At least the hotel didn't ask me to do international phone call and finally said I can request the booking with them via the LINE channel. So I sent the booking request with details. That was 3 days ago. And I have not received any message back or heard a peep from them. So I assume the service is still not booked.
Not that the free ride matters since I should be able to get a cab easily, but the service, especially what's promise and the helpfulness of the staff, is quite underwhelming and on the side of not hospitable.
For the same trip, I also had to reach out to Tango Hotel Taipei. They were very helpful with my inquiry and very fast.
Hopefully the stay is nice. I'll come back to update my review then.

JJunhongWhen we arrived at the hotel that night, we asked the receptionist to help us check in, but the receptionist asked us to check in on the machine ourselves. As a result, we had to shuttle back and forth between the two buildings without being able to check in. Later, we returned to the previous one. At the counter, I asked the lady to check in. She said there might be something wrong with the machine, dizzy😵💫. In addition, I booked a room for two people and a room for one person, a total of two rooms. When the receptionist gave us the key card, she did not tell us that the room was a large one and a small room. It was not until the next day that I found out that the two people lived in a small room. Room, I think she should tell us about this. Two people can live in a large room without being so crowded. There was also no drinking water in the room, and the front desk staff didn't tell them in advance. Later, we called to inquire and found out that it was on the first floor. The hotel should have let passengers know this in advance, but they didn't. This was a terrible travel experience.

GGuest UserThe exterior may not be very stunning and the hotel may feel a bit old, but after entering, you will slowly discover its inner charm.
The Daoxiang double room we stayed in was very elegant and large, especially the oversized bed which was super comfortable to sleep on. I am an elderly person who is undergoing neck rehabilitation and I am very picky about beds and pillows, but I slept very soundly and deeply here. A big thumbs up to the hotel owner for choosing the hard bed facilities. The room is super clean. Although the hardware equipment is not new, it has a simple and elegant charm, which I like. It's a bit like Kung Fu tea that needs to be savored slowly.
We are an elderly couple who came to Hualien to visit friends. Before checking in, we requested a quiet room with no smoke. We could not stay in the side room due to our physical condition. Although the room had some minor flaws in sound insulation, the hotel met our needs. The peaceful and pleasant environment in the rice fields will give you a good night's sleep.
The backyard also gets high marks, and is perfect for a relaxing stroll.
The breakfast was rich and delicious.
This is very suitable for us who don't need dazzling amusement facilities and come here to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing accommodation environment.
The only drawback is that they don't provide dinner, but we solved that by using the hotel's instant noodles and ordering takeout via mobile phone.
The price is very reasonable and it is a highly recommended accommodation.

@@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
