Hualien Hualien City 4-star Hotels

Hotel provides free afternoon tea and snacks for guests, as well as supper. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good, within walking distance to the night market. The hotel emailed us as we had left some items in our rooms while hurriedly packing our bags. My sister and I were caught in the earthquake on 0403. Thanks to the professional front desk agents, we were able to get to the train station in hope of catching an afternoon train back to Taipei. Unfortunately, after waiting for about 3 hours, we were informed that all trains were cancelled. Our guide, Mason, who took us on the Taroko gorge tour the day before, was super super kind and helpful who went out of his way to rent a car and drove all 7 of us from the tour group to Kaohshiung. We spent the night there before taking the hsr to Taipei. Mason is truly exceptional, authentic and passionate. We are really grateful to Mason. Indeed, we are blessed to have met kind hearted souls in Hualien. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Hualien, Taiwan.

The hotel is conveniently located, with good facilities and hygiene. The rooms are also well soundproofed, and the service staff are warm and welcoming. It is a good accommodation choice. The only complaint is that the parking lot is small and requires some parking skills.

Highly recommended to any foreign tourists to stay at Fulkind hotel if you ever plan to visit Hualien.  The location is marvelous ie within town centre and only 5 mins walk to the famous hualien night market.  Service provided by the hotel staffs was tip top. Room is clean n tidy. Also free car park available.

Updates: I had a great stay at Fullon Hotel Hualien. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has awesome view of the harbor. The location is ideal for me—close to the coast, at the start of the bike trail, and in a peaceful area. I loved being able to borrow a bike from the hotel, making it easy to explore the bike-friendly town. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even those who didn’t speak English used Google Translate to communicate, which I appreciated. The only downside was difficulty reaching the hotel before my arrival to confirm the station pick-up, which wasn’t sorted out and confirmed until the day before I arrived. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. Most likely will stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. Hopefully, I can reach them easier next time. ==================== 2025/01/13: Impossible to contact as a foreign visitor. I tried to send messages to the hotel via both email and LINE that were listed on their website since I don't live in TW. I tried to arrange for their pick up service from Hualien Station which is included with my stay. I have sent my inquiry for the details. I finally managed to get messages back one time via LINE after a day with a website that's not in English and a picture showing only a phone number for booking. At least the hotel didn't ask me to do international phone call and finally said I can request the booking with them via the LINE channel. So I sent the booking request with details. That was 3 days ago. And I have not received any message back or heard a peep from them. So I assume the service is still not booked. Not that the free ride matters since I should be able to get a cab easily, but the service, especially what's promise and the helpfulness of the staff, is quite underwhelming and on the side of not hospitable. For the same trip, I also had to reach out to Tango Hotel Taipei. They were very helpful with my inquiry and very fast. Hopefully the stay is nice. I'll come back to update my review then.

I booked three rooms, and the check-in process at the counter was very fast, no need to wait. Stayed in a sea view room. The room is on the 9th floor and can see the sea. It is very comfortable. On the night of check-in, there is a coupon that can be exchanged for a late-night snack. I chose a sweet soup and a salty soup, both of which were delicious! The exchange staff were also very polite. The breakfast has many items and is delicious. There is a children's game room, and there are also some recreational activities (such as wine bottle sets, balancing pinball tables...) which are very good Good location, just walking distance to Dongdaemun Night Market

Fortunately, I was upgraded to a 4-person room with double bed. It's close to the train station, the room is big and bright, the bed is just right, there's a bathtub and a toilet with warm water, and there's even a Dyson hairdryer... This time, trains were suspended due to the 4/3 earthquake. The store has also extended its stay to all residents at a preferential price (free late-night snack set, breakfast the next day) Very sincere👍

Convenient location, too many restaurants around, not far from the attractions. The hotel room is big, well set up, the room is clean, the waiter is polite, and the experience is very good. Breakfast is slightly discolored, but acceptable.

For those who are worried about the smell of smoke and cleanliness, don’t worry. There are also many gourmet restaurants nearby. This time I booked a business room, and the soundproofing was OK. The bathroom and room were super comfortable. The bathroom had a large amount of water, and it was all soft water. It felt smooth and great when I washed my body! In particular, I really want to emphasize the awesome toilet-free experience~~~ I can only give it a thumbs up.
