Wir hatten so eine beschwerliche und lange Reise mit dem Auto und kamen fast schon in der Dunkelheit an, aber wie sind so herzlich empfangen worden. Die Inhaberin ist sehr freundlich und das Anwesen ist ausgesprochen schön. Der Tipp für ein Restaurant ( 5 Minuten entfernt ) war super gut. Schade das die Beleuchtung in den Räumen so grell und hell war.

I spent 3 nights at this lovely property while visiting my mother in Amberfield. It is centrally located in the village and only a few minutes drive from Amberfield. A very quiet location. The property has pretty gardens and it was lovely sitting on the comfortable chairs on the verandah outside the room having a cup of coffee, the birdsong and property’s adorable cats for company. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, light, airy, spotlessly clean, very comfortable king-size bed with good quality linen, USB and 2-prong plug points. A bonus is that the ceiling lights and TV work doing loadshedding.. Good sized bathroom with shower that had good water pressure. The kitchenette gives the room added space. It has a seating area, a counter top to sit at, bar fridge, kettle and microwave. Jenny is an attentive and helpful host. I would definitely choose this property for my next visit to Howick.

We stayed at Country Lane the two nights before running Comrades. We had a great stay, Jenny was super accommodating and even provided breakfast for us at 2.45am on the day of the race! She also gave great recommendations for local dinners out (particularly given our vegan / gluten free requirements)! The beds were v comfy and the rooms had everything we need - it was a great stay :) We’ll be back whenever we run Comrades again!!

Nestled at the end of a short dirt road we received a very warm welcome in a family home environment. The room was comfortable and well appointed(a towel hook in the bathroom near the shower would have been helpful). A perfect spot for a short stay while visiting the Midlands

What a fantastic stay we had. Jenny was amazing and assisted us so well. It was just before comrades and the care and quality was out of this world. I am pre-booking for next year now already. Can definitely recommend it. Regards. Thea

I had a very comfortable stay at country lane. Had everything I needed. Clean and warm room. And plenty of parking. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Definitely won’t stay anywhere else.

The guest house is very neat and clean. Everything you need for an over night or an extended stay where you travel during the day to the nearby attractions and sleep over at night. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed for our over night stay. The guest house is situated in a very quite cul-de-sac but still close to shops and restaurants.
