Traveling recently for work stayed at this hotel for a week and felt very comfortable. Clean, quiet, and on mornings when I had to leave before the breakfast buffet was open was offered a little bagged breakfast to have in my room. Michelle was looking after the desk most evenings that we were there and she made sure that we had everything we needed. Very professional, patient, kind and just an overall model of superior customer service. I will definitely stay there again.

In ordinary times I might be more forgiving of this hotel. The staff was friendly (although none of them wore masks), and the room was comfortable enough for a Holiday Inn. But these are not ordinary times. And the fact that no one working at the hotel wore a mask - there was no hand sanitizer available and there were no signs promoting elevator safety concern me greatly. Every time I went to ride the elevator - some other guest (usually with no mask on) would want to get into the elevator with me. I was visiting a sick relative and I certainly don't want to bring someone else's germs home with me. In other regards - the laundry room on the 4tb floor was broken, the trash was overflowing with beer cans and the remote for my TV was partially broken. The volume would toggle up but not down and the TV would turn on but not off. The bed was comfortable and I have no other complaints. But I don't feel like this was a sanitary place to stay during a pandemic.

This hotel was so noisy and to top it off I got woken up out my sleep at 5am because my card didn’t go through , then when she got frustrated at the fact I wouldn’t allow her to charge my card because she was trying to charge me for something I already paid for. My reservation was prepaid!!!! I will never do business here again very unprofessional, and it was my wedding anniversary and I will definitely say this was distasteful ! Housekeepers are noisy when cleaning rooms, and kept knocking on my door all weekend smh

I travel frequently for pleasure and work. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. I genuinely felt they went out of their way to make my stay the best it could be. My dog traveled with me and he got spoiled too by the staff. Will be back again soon. This will always be my first choice for stays in Houston. The staff at this hotel are top notch! Thank you all for that, you made this visit stand out from other properties. Ross and I can't wait to visit again soon!

Room size is good, clean and no smell; the environment is prefect, nice decoration.
The pool is nice, but not use due to cold weather at this moment. The experience is fine.

1st I was never notified that my room was cancelled. I was traveling over 3 hours away I stopped to get gas and checked my email and noticed that I had a cancellation. I called the hotel and at 1st the lady said she didn’t know why. She later came back on the phone and said the manager that was on duty tried to run my card and it didn’t go through ma’am I can’t check in till after 3PM and y’all ran the card right at 3PM I am in route was never notified it was just cancelled I asked could she put me back in the room and I’ll give her a card to run while on the phone. She stated the manager that ran the card left right after canceling and I would need to go online and rebook and they only have 1 room LEFT. Then when I get to the hotel you are immediately welcomed with the smell of PISS they make sure to display a no smoking policy but they need to put a no pet POLICY they smell is sooooo strong you could dang near throw up. They need to remove all carpet and put some new ones down make sure they have fragrance smell going off at all times fyi make sure you bring your own towels to bath with lucky i always bring my own bath and dry towel but my friend needed one and the ladies cleaned our room and said they didn’t have anymore she would bring some later by the room we proceeded with our day and later asked for those same bathing towels and was told they didn’t have any small towels again smh but the next morning wayyyyy before check out about 9 they come knocking on the door asking for the towels we did have in the room this hotel was definitely not customer service friendly nor convenient.…..knowing what I know I will NEVER BOOK at THIS LOCATION AGAIN and yesssss this is a recent visit 06/28/24 just in case anyone is wondering.

Outstanding
OOdyssey00954690814We stayed at this hotel at the end of March for 8 nights visiting from the UK. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for leisure or business. It is well situated for the Energy Corridor and is close to Memorial Drive and I-10 freeway. The staff were all excellent - reception, housekeeping and catering. Very friendly and helpful. Anyone on reception always greeted you when you came in or left the hotel. The room was spacious and had lots of amenities including microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The breakfast was very good with a big choice and it varied in terms of the cooked offering every day. The staff constantly replenished things so the food was always fresh. The pool area was well maintained, quiet and relaxing. The hotel also had a laundry area with no surcharge and a small gym area. The hotel is obviously very well managed and the staff seemed to all be well trained and eager to help. We visit Houston regularly and will definitely book in here the next time we visit.

Ooding15570Did not have breakfast, eat a few days each person 12 knives a day, children half price. Self-service, average American breakfast. Not expensive or cheap. It is not convenient to have no car in the United States. So staying here is much cheaper than downtown. Drive to the museum area, follow the morning peak for about 40min-1h, and go to the space center for about 1.2-1.5h. Can be tollway, less than 2.5 knives for each of the 7 seats, not expensive, take the right cash channel, below 20 can be zero. Houston is planning very well, the museum areas are all together, naturally, children are close.

GGuest UserGood location right at the corner of i10 and hwy6. Room was clean. Lobby looked really nice. Friendly staff. Check in and check out was really fast. Plenty of parking. Also as per usual with best western and other 3* hotels, there was a coffee maker. All in all it was a great hotel at a surprisingly low cost. Would recommend.

I checked in digitally. Chose a room. Then got a message on my Hilton app to stop at the front desk. I did. Checked in and they put me in a larger room. That was nice, BUT, they also charged me an additional $100.00. I went upstairs and checked my app again, looking for a digital key and noticed I was overcharged compared to my reservation. So I pulled up the confirmation email and went back downstairs. Vicento changed the rate to match my original rate. I travel for my job and get approval for reimbursement on hotel expenses before I arrive to the hotel. When the hotel changes the rate or adds fees not on the reservation, it messes with my ability to get reimbursed and sadly takes time to resolve. When I checked out 4 days later, they included a parking fee which isn't a lot, but unnecessary as this is a suburban hotel. The Courtyard next door charges the same parking fee, but the Residence Inn across the street doesn't. I never saw a security guy in the lot. I saw a review of 2 cars with wheels stolen and left on blocks in their parking lot. Had Hilton just been upfront with me, I would have left my car at work down the street and hitched a ride; which most nights, a coworker drove me to dinner and other places anyway. This hotel can do better. Be transparent. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was just ok, despite very nice guys who work in the breakfast area. Just wished the food tasted better. I did not use the gym, but it looked ok. I did not use the laundry, but it looked ok too. Housekeeping left only decaf coffee with the coffee maker. Luckily, there is a Starbucks right down the street (within walking distance). This is a good hotel, but not in a prime location - and not worth a parking fee. There was a homeless guy living in his car in the parking lot under my window. Not sure why I had to pay for him to stay there. One night, he was up late (until 2 or 3am) cleaning out his car with the radio on. I should have photographed him. I'm going to try this hotel again, but I don't feel confident as I make the reservation. Come on Hilton. It felt like you changed my room rate to make a few extra dollars. If you book here, keep a copy of your reservation showing a breakdown of the room rate. No need to be surprised. If you don't like paying to park overnight in a lot with a homeless guy living there, then leave your car elsewhere and Uber it.

SSightsee10870393893all of the bad reviews are total lies, this hotel has to be one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed at in Houston, I have severe anxiety and the staff was so wonderful that all went away, The desk staff is amazing, they give the most amazing service, Chris and kateri were one of the best. don’t even get me started on the food, the food is to die for, I recommend the breakfast sandwich, the bistro staff brightened my morning. The rooms from the gym were all great, the bathrooms were so Nice and the beds were beyond comfortable, for my gym freaks out there the gym has so many amenities, medicine balls, cycles, treadmills, and much more. by far the staff has to be the best part of it all, shout-out to my guy Chris, ever get a chance to meet him make sure to use your outside voice. ps, tell him Bradie said hi

GGuest UserInterior of the Hotel was very clean, room was larger than expected and bed very comfortable. However, when I went to hang up my shirts/pants, there were dirty linens in the closet left by housekeeping from previous guest. Additionally, there was no shampoo and conditioner in the bath/shower area. When I brought the dirty to night clerk, I informed her that I needed shampoo & conditioner for the following evening, she stated it would be communicate to housekeeping that day. When I returned that evening, none was present and I was disappointed and gave up on this staff.............

Poor customer service is the overall reason for the rating/When I arrived it looked more like a prison with a big fence around the building but i seen this at Hampton inn too the big fence so I asked to see the room before I booked a reservation. The first room had a bad odor but did appear to be clean just dated. The second room had no odor and smelled good/there was a febeeze airfresher on the AC unit that made it smell okay. So rooms are hit or missI went to possibly park in back and it looked it hadn't been cleaned trash throughout the parking lot that should have been a warning but I wanted to use my points to pay so looked past it Then I used points to stay for free/so the lady at front took a $50 deposit via my card no problem/the next morning I recieved an alert it had posted to my account. When I checked out i ask about how to get the deposit back since they never actually posted in the past and was given the run around about talking to the manager who was unavailable/so i called back and was told the manager would be in at 5pm called at 5pm and was told the manager isn't working now/and that the person who took my deposit didn't have my card information in the system so they cloud not refund my deposit and they would have to ask the manager how to do it and i would get a call back I still have not got the call/it seems like a scam or front worke not trained correctly and need retraining

3317meagannHoly. Moly. I have stayed in some less then stellar places before, but this one takes the cake on a silver platter. 1. Their pet deposit is $50 per animal, per night!! That means for my 2 well behaved dogs it costs me an additional $100 per night. That is ridiculous since every other hotel I have stayed at was at most $25 per night. 2. The receptionist was incredibly rude and unhelpful, then flat out told both myself and our employee’s wife that they did not have rooms with 2 beds, nor explained the room assigned to my husband and I that our room did have a couch inside that their small children could have slept on. So imagine our surprise when once we had all checked in, we found that BOTH of our rooms did in fact have 2 beds each. 3. The outdoor swimming pool was closed due to Covid, however it was still incredibly nasty and horrifying. it was FILLED with leaves and trash, as well as the implement used to clean was it laying on the bottom of the pool, and the concrete surrounding the pool itself was green with algae. 4. Once we got to our room my wife and I found that our air conditioner BARELY cooled. 5. We also found that we had HARDLY and I do mean we BARELY had water warm enough to bathe in. It was really more lukewarm than warm, AND the controls were backwards AND it only stayed lukewarm for 10 minutes before going freezing cold. It took me 15 minutes to find lukewarm water for a 10 minute shower!! 6. The laundry room was IMPOSSIBLE to find, unmarked, and obscurely located on the second floor. There was also a complete lack of any staff to ask of it’s location nor were we told of it’s existence upon check-in. I searched for 30 minutes and then finally had to call the front desk (which CLOSED at 7 pm mind you) from my personal cell phone to ask for directions. Once I had managed to have my call answered, I was rudely told “it’s on the second floor,” before I was hung up on. 7. The same 2 huge bags of trash, plus the overflowing trash cans outside 2 different entrances were never emptied during the the 2 nights and 3 days we were here. 8. I had to call the front desk 3 different times over one hour, without anyone answering the phone before calling my employee to go and get my wife because we had an emergency going on at home. 9. Our bathroom was not only rather outdated, it was also chipped, cracked and generally damaged, as was the kitchen in my employee’s room. THAT ONE WAS TOTALLY MISSING 1 entire drawer face. Then, on the very last night, the elevator broke down and we were NOT told or even alerted to there being an additional one available!! 10. Once I had finally find the laundry room, I was immediately disgusted. My skin began crawling as it was FILTHY and it WAS NOT SUPPLIED with any helpful items, as in there were no soaps to purchase at all. 11. Outside, I also found an outlet box that was OPEN with a damaged and unplugged wire for “something”. 12. It was incredibly loud inside the rooms. Yes, it might b

Eericj26385A hurricane hit Houston in early July and my uncle, who's in a wheelchair, did not have electricity. I searched online and this hotel showed availability. I called to book the reservation because I wanted to make sure the room would be wheelchair accessible. The person on the phone spent a lot of time getting the reservation set up and then informed me they won't take a third party payment (I couldn't pay for my uncle since I wasn't staying in the room). I explained that he didn't have a credit card and he needed a place to stay since his house was hot. They suggested calling the hotel directly (I had called the number on their website, but they gave me a different number) or booking online. Nobody answered when I called, but since the website showed availability, I booked online. I got my uncle an Uber and they drove him the 9.3 miles to the hotel - and it was CLOSED. My uncle called me and I had to book a return trip to his house. So we're out nearly $60 and it was a waste of his time (though he got to sit in an air-conditioned car for an hour). I know times were difficult because the hurricane had hit, and it's reasonable that they would be without power and need to be closed. But how hard would it have been to put a message on their phone and turn off the reservations on their site? They had to know that people were desperate to find a hotel room, and I'm guessing he probably wasn't the only one who ran into this issue.
