Santa Cruz Hotels with Hot Tub

Never had to write this bad of a review. Terrible experience for the what I spent on. First front reception impression was bad. 2 receptionists, one on the phone helping a lady with an issue. She seemed very stressed. The gentleman helping the rest of us making a line. When it was my turn, my card wouldnt go through. When the lady receptionist was done with the call she seemed like she was about to get a mental breakdown. He then decided to try my card on her side and was successfully processed. He didn’t explain or gave me any instructions about the key. Key needed to work the elevators and power in the rooms I had to figure it out on my own. He Didn’t offer or explained parking, I went back after we unloaded our stuff drove around and found out there was no place to park. The receptionist pretty much just processed my card. I stayed 3 nights and no one went into my room to take trash or pick up the dirty towels. Only thing they did was put a set of clean towels the night before my check out day and that’s about it. I was given an accessible room. I did not ask for one. A light on a night stand were unplugged. Found multiple lotto tickets inside the pull out bed. Toilet paper handle was broken. By the way…..what kind of bar closes at 8? The bartender didn’t seem professional or welcoming. When checking out I was asked how I wanted my receipt. On paper or email. I told her I rather get an email. I checked out around 8am and it’s 435pm and I haven’t received my email. The only people I will say were amazing at their job were the valet guys. They were friendly, helpful and did their job.

We had our wedding hotel room block at Hotel Paradox and had such a great experience! We looked at so many hotels in the area before deciding to move forward with Hotel Paradox and we now have no doubt that we made the right decision. The hotel set up was perfect for our event weekend. Guests were able to gather around the pool during the day and hang at the bar in the evenings. Many of our guests were raving about their experience at Hotel Paradox all weekend long. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests felt welcome all weekend and were extremely accommodating and the food was great too. Having our room block there really added to our weekend and enhanced our whole experience. A big thank you to everyone at Hotel Paradox for making our wedding weekend one to remember!

The hotel location is a bit far from downtown, but it is close to the natural bridge park by the sea. It is convenient to walk to watch the sunrise in the morning. The hotel offers free parking, a generous breakfast, fruit oats, Waffle, everything. The price is a little expensive. Fortunately, it is a business meeting, the hotel service is good, the hardware facilities are quite complete, the pool, sauna, gym are all available, it is a good choice for business travel.

Temporary booking, the hotel location is by the sea, breakfast is very simple, starting at 8 o'clock. The room is much larger than the one introduced and also offers a folding single bed, although not required. Can't burn hot water, the front desk said that you can go to microwave heating, only when breakfast.

We stayed at this facility on March 10, originally with the intention of staying for one night only. The following morning, we decided to stay on for an additional evening. I went down to the desk at 11:10am on March 11, and the young woman behind the counter said that we should have informed them of our intentions ten minutes earlier (before check-out time at 11:00) and that as a result she could not offer us the room we were in. I asked her why, since the hotel seemed to me to be largely empty. In fact, during our conversation, she mentioned that there were only twenty new bookings for that evening. She then said that we needed to leave because the room needed to be cleaned, even though I assured her that we did not need it to be cleaned. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said that the supervisor was “on lunch” and again insisted that we leave the room. I told her that we would not leave the room until she clarified with her supervisor whether we could stay in the same room. She called her supervisor who said that it would, in fact, be possible to stay in the same room. I asked the young woman if she needed anything further, and I was then told that everything had been arranged, and we were all set for the additional night. At 1:25pm that afternoon, we received a phone call from a new supervisor -evidently after a shift change- who said that we needed to immediately check out of the room we were in. I said that our stay had been cleared with the previous supervisor. She said that she was the supervisor now, and therefore we had to leave. I said that I would not leave until she communicated with the earlier supervisor about the misunderstanding. She said that if we did not check out of the room, she would call the police who would arrive in 10 minutes. We promptly packed our belongings and gave our key cards to the front desk. Later that afternoon, the IHG (as well as Booking.com and Expedia) website advertised availability for that night of the type of room we had just vacated. All that needs to be added to this strange narrative is that we are IHG members, and have never such a bad experience in any of our stays at an IHG hotel.

You need to bring your own suitcase on the second floor, you can park for free, no matter what kind of room you order, all have a simple breakfast buffet. The door is poorly soundproof, but most people are very quiet. Some distance from the sea.

The place was neat and clean. Pool was warm and clean. Rooms are neat and freshly clean. We arrived Friday night and the front desk guy named Jordan was helpful and professional. I asked for a couple of favors and he was helpful enough to make it happen. We will be back next time when we are in the area!

Overall the stay is great. Location is good near beach,near restaurants and supermarket. It was advertised as it is. My kids are impressed with the room - clean and spacious Breakfast provided - the spread is not bad Service - the staff are helpful and warm especially Jane and Christine For Christine, she helped us to get a cab upon the day of check out. Uber cancelled on us few times which we are going to SAn Francisco International Airport. Or else we will miss the flight. Surrounding environment around hotel - safe ,less homeless I was very impressed as I read up many reviews before my booking with Hampton Inn West Santa Cruz Worth the stay and money

Standard American breakfast, free parking, gas station next to it, convenient for eating and shopping. It was nice to stop with the kids.
