"The hotel's super close to Mae Kampong village, right on the road up. It's only a 3-minute drive to the village, or a 20-minute walk if you're up for it. My first impression was just, wow! There's a stream running through the hotel, huge green trees overhead, and the decorations are so sweet and comfy, with cute little toys and figures, plus fun small games. The hotel is seriously beautifully decorated and so cozy. The staff are super welcoming, sweet, and friendly. The service is top-notch. They don't speak English, but communication is perfect thanks to Google Translate these days. The rooms are so cozy and clean with tons of amenities. The family game console was my favorite part of the room! They even have a hair straightener. The bathtub, shower, and toilets are clean with Japanese-style controls. What a surprise! Be carful when you enter the hotel since you will be greeted by a big boy(dog). He's super cute but scared me a little since he's a big boy. But he is super obedient so you don't have to worry. I hope we can get more friendly with him next time we visit. The food was amazing too. Beer and drinks are available all night, which is super convenient. I felt totally recharged and ready to work again on Monday after a cozy weekend here. Hopefully, we'll visit again!"

It strikes a perfect balance between feeling homely and offering all the amenities you’d expect from a high-quality stay, all set within a beautiful jungle environment. Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. Overall, this was a really relaxing and restorative stay. I’m very glad I chose Portare Home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Kampong."

"Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Only the red network (presumably a mobile carrier) has phone signal. The rooms aren't very soundproof, but the atmosphere is great. The route to the accommodation is very secluded, but I loved it."

"We just got back from a family trip after a long time. The beautiful night view and nature, exactly as pictured, along with the bonfire service made possible by the staff, were the three main positives. However, aside from these, there were many drawbacks. First off, all the sofas and furniture were covered in hair and dust, just like in the photos. Although it was a two-story villa, having the refrigerator only on the second floor was very inconvenient. Also, there was only one small trash can in the bathroom, which was genuinely annoying. Since we drove ourselves, we didn't experience any issues with transportation. The scenery, both day and night, was different yet beautiful, like being in a forest."
