I highly recommend this hotel with 10 points. The quality of cleanliness, scenery, room equipment, and staff is also 10 points excellent. There are different restaurants in the hotel for guests to choose from. There are also different breakfast styles every day, so you can choose from them. The only drawback is that the hotel is a bit far away and you may need to take a car to get there.
But all in all, I highly recommend this hotel!

My daughter and I had a whirlwind trip traveling around Italy, and the absolute best stay was at the stunningly beautiful and perfectly centrally situated Ara Maris. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Fulvio who took us to a gorgeous room with the most breathtaking view from our balcony. The accommodations were pure luxury from the comfiest bed to a Nespresso set up, to the robe & slippers perfect for sitting outside and viewing Vesuvius or enjoying the Spa or lounging poolside. Breakfast did not disappoint— the array of delicious pastries, fruits, yogurt and so much more, plus we could choose a freshly made hot breakfast as well. The Lumi Sky Lounge couldn’t be beat as the ideal respite for drinks and aperitivo at the end of a day touring. The views are amazing, and the magical sunsets we will never forget. Last but certainly not least: the entire Ara Maris staff was exceptional. They are readily available to help, answer any question or suggest one of the many wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. Thank you Ara Maris for being our favorite and most memorable stay in Italy. Four nights wasn’t enough! We miss you already!

What a sweet and unusual hotel in a busy little tourist city! From the staff that get to know your name on the first day, to helping with extra needs, we had the best customer care while at the Grand Hotel La Favorita. It's location is ideal, close to great dining and shopping and don't miss their sister restaurant a few blocks away! It's a hidden gem on the main walking/shopping street. It's like a magical garden with fantastic food and more great service. We did talk to a few others who said they get very crowded so dining earlier guarantees better service. Lastly, do'nt miss the rooftop bar with a beautiful sunset!

We stayed for 5 nights at the Grand Royal. The service, ambience and accommodations made this the most memorable trip of our lives. The landscaping is breathtaking. The guest rooms were clean and comfortable. Our sea view terrace was gorgeous. Enjoying the private beach was our favorite day time activity and the tunnel walk down to the beach is magical. The location was perfect - close walk to local restaurants and the ferry. We would like to extend special thanks to Mauro, Paolo, and Florenza for their outstanding hospitality. The gentleman at the beach club was also amazing (I didn’t catch his name). We had family staying at a different hotel nearby paying the same rate as us and their experience was far from as nice as ours. We will all stay at the Grand Royal next time. Thank you all! ❤️❤️❤️

We originally wanted to stay on the island, but later we were advised to stay in Sorrento, so we made a hasty decision. We were a little worried at first, but when we got to the hotel, we were so happy. The location and scenery were so great! If you want to visit the Amalfi coastline, I really recommend staying in Sorrento. It's much quieter than Positano and Amalfi. I strongly recommend walking to Giovanna Rock Beach, which is really surprising!

Well where do I start? Let’s start at the very beginning and hopefully I don’t forget anything! I’ve just returned from a ten night stay here. On arrival reception were just lovely and very welcoming. Check in was very quick and efficient. The gentleman explained what they could arrange in the way of excursions for you - I already had mine booked prior to leaving home. That even explained the tourist tax of 4 euros per night for the maximum of seven nights. One member of staff showed me to my room whilst the bell boy brought my luggage to my room. The bedroom was lovely and large. Nice and cool and very efficient air conditioning. Bed was very comfortable. Nice balcony with a table, two chairs and partial sea view looking over bay of Naples and Marina Picalo Bathroom nice and large with toiletries supplied. Housekeeping twice daily. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Choice of food very large and all buffet style. Antonio and his staff a credit to the hotel. Hotel very centrally located. Within easy walking distance of everywhere. Will I be back yes.

The front desk of the hotel was very friendly and called a car for us when we checked out. Although it was really expensive, it really could only be so due to the location.
The interior of the hotel room is clean and tidy, and the price is super high
I really like the hotel's swimming pool. The whole feeling of being surrounded by mountains and rivers is very beautiful!
There was a problem with the hair dryer in the room at the beginning, and finally adjusted the room for us. The service attitude is very friendly!

Michelangelo Hotel, which I stopped by during my road trip to Italy~
The facilities were good and the breakfast was good, but my whole family was very satisfied with the dinner we had on the day of our stay, consisting of appetizers, lunch, and dessert.
The location was a bit difficult to find, but the hotel was good enough to make up for it.
The car parking fee for one night is 20 euros, which is a bit expensive ^^
Perhaps because it was the week before Christmas, the hotel was decorated in various ways, which was nice.

Great hotel with excellent location. Right in the heart of Sorrento. 5 min walk to Main Street with shopping and eating, 10 min walk to train and bus station.
Breakfast was amazing with great local selections. Simple but very elegant choices. Rooms were great. We had two rooms and each room had it own decore and colors.

My wife and I recently stayed at La Tonnarella in Sorento. The customer service offered us was outstanding. Joseph, Fabiano, and Annalisa were the nicest people you could possibly meet. The front operations of the hotel ran perfectly I have never experienced better customer service then at this hotel. The location is beautiful and the room was exactly as described and pictured. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view from our balcony was awesome. The restaurant Radici del Sud was excellent, Raffaelle and the team of servers offered outstanding service and the food was delicious. The view from the outdoor seating area cannot be beat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sorento. My wife and I will definitely stay here the next time we visit.

SSHANNON MMy husband and I stayed at Maison Tofani for 4 days after returning from a Mediterranean cruise. We planned on using Sorrento as our ”home base” and taking some day trips to the surrounding areas to see some old friends, etc. We have stayed in Sorrento many times at various properties and I have to say that Maison Tofani was my favorite location as far as being able to walk to many different things and being right in the middle of the downtown area. There was an amazing gelato place directly across from the entrance, some great restaurants right around the corner (thank you Da Gigino’s for several great meals throughout our stay!) and any type of shopping you could want without having to walk more than a block. Being a huge history and architecture fan, I loved the historical integrity of the building and the decor of the interior, especially the breakfast room and lounge. These rooms were absolutely stunning- the ceiling in the dining area is completely painted in a Renaissance style mural and it is amazing. The setting would be spectacular for an intimate dinner party or small wedding which I believe they hold there on occasion. Breakfast was nicely done with many different things to choose from- eggs, traditional Italian charcuterie, fresh fruit, gorgeous pastries- and is served between 8 & 10 daily. There was not a single morning of our stay when more than 3 of the 8 or so tables were occupied at any one time which was a nice change after fighting for tables with 1000 other people on our cruise ship in order to eat breakfast. Our room had a small balcony off of it and one of the nights we were there it was the perfect vantage point for fireworks that were being done over Sorrento- I think I was actually the only person in the place who was able to see from that particular view. The reasons I am not giving Maison Tofani five stars are the following- as mentioned by someone who must have been in the exact same room we were in-there were numerous times we smacked our heads on the slanted attic beams- the ceiling was very low in about half of the room- not necessarily the hotel’s fault but unpleasant nonetheless. Also as mentioned by others, the shower in our room was excessively tiny- my husband has very broad shoulders and due to some past surgeries he has difficulty bending/twisting so it was almost physically exhausting/impossible for him to take a shower in such a tiny space. Also, I’m not sure that I’ve seen anyone else mention this but there was a placard in our room on the desk that I happened to notice the second day we were there that stated we were not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks into the room, eat or drink in the room, or use the mini fridge for storage of anything other than the items the management had put in there- they attributed these requests to “health concerns/risks” which I understand to some degree but I found it ridiculous that when it was 95 degrees out My husband and I stayed at Maison Tofani for 4 days a
KkirstyobrienExcellent location, super clean and staff were very informative and polite. The rooms were very spacious, bright and we had a lovely little balcony. It was exactly the type of place we were looking for and we couldn’t of asked for any better. Thank you for having us. We will definitely return in the near future. Thanks :) Kirsty & Emil x
This was quite a comfortable apartment in a convenient location, but our trip was soured due to the false & misleading advertising around a pool. Photos suggest there is a pool available, it is not associated with the property, it is a neighbouring hotel. By the time we realised this (they had changed their advertising due to it being highlighted) it was to late for us to find any property with a pool. They then advertised the use of another properties pool for 15 euro - it is in fact 25 euro per person. We mentioned this to the owner & there was very little care factor except for ”oh OK that is the price”. The place was difficult to find due to incorrect directions - it is not the 2nd private street! We walked around for over an hour in the rain, contacted owner for assistance to find out they don't even live in Sorrento & no one could help us. There were issues with the TV - when we reported it the answer was ”must be from the storm” - there was no storm. A technician arrived the following day to fix! Toilet continuously running - owner says keep pushing several times til it stops - well how about fixing it! Property is advertised as non smoking - we ended up being barricaded inside with the door shut due to neighbouring unit continuously smoking on the balcony. The shower has a lot of hype & water pools in the bottom so you almost end up having a bath. This was a very disappointing start to our vacation & with no one around to offer any assistance you are left to fend for yourself.
446394500Highly recommend this lodging, but it's important to understand in advance what these accommodations include. This is not a hotel. It is a former condo that now rents out individual rooms so there is no front desk, no concierge, etc. The rooms are large, bathrooms recently renovated, and there is an elevator. It is super clean and the beds/pillows are very comfortable. Management only provides one key per room which means guests must coordinate their return to the room because only 1 guest will have a key. Location is wonderful. Less than 10 minutes easy walk to rail stations and only about 5 min walk to the wonderful historic district (shopping and restaurants). Sorrento is really alive at night, and we really enjoyed it. We thought we were getting breakfast, but we only received packaged sweet breads from a grocery store. I would definitely stay again.
Not sure where to begin with this place, but would not recommend. The walk from the train station was about 15 minutes, and we used the address in maps to find the place, but it only took us to a group of buildings, which we then had to walk around to find a sign stating it was VHomes. Then we walked up the stairs to find a lady sitting on the stairs who had been there for 2 hours waiting to get back into her room because they had accidentally walked out of the room without the key. There was no staff there to let us know how to check into our room, even though we had given them a time frame when we planned to be there. Fortunately, we found our key on the front desk, but then had to search for our room as there were no signs indicating the different room locations. We were pleasantly surprised by the decent size of the room, and were happy to find that they had AC (as advertised), and we could actually turn it on. The black out shudders worked great! The shower looked nice, but when we took showers, found that half the buttons to turn on the ”spa” shower didn't work. Also, the shower head didn't fit correctly in the holder, so as soon as you turned the water on, the shower head hose would fall out of the holder, so basically you had to hold the shower head, or use the rainfall shower part. However, if you didn't want to get your hair wet, it was ridiculous to have to hold the shower head the entire time while showering. Also, there was mold on the outside of the shower doors. We turned on the notification to not come in our room, as we do in every hotel we stay in, and make it up EVERY day, and EVERY day they came in our room and made our bed and opened the black out shudders, which we had purposefully left down in order to keep the room cooler. The staff was not friendly, the breakfasts were the exact same every day and were terrible, the coffee was disgusting, and overall, this place was WAY over priced what it should be. The 2 positives about the place were the working AC and the black out shudders. As for the rest...I would not recommend this place.
