Uppsala Hostels

I give three stars for breakfast, because it is a good buffet breakfast, very well supplied, with a wide choice of sweet and salt, and it is very nice to be able to make waffles alone, which are also excellent. Moreover, on Sunday and Saturday breakfast is up to 13... But for the rest, the rooms are very bad. They have no windows, you don't breathe, beds are not very comfortable ...I would accept it if it cost less, but for what it offers is really too expensive!

Really appreciate been able to check-in very late after calling equally late. I had done a similar thing in Maidstone sometime ago only to get there late and told I have not booked earlier although I have not paid. It was to be I should pay at the hostel. I was simply turned back only for them to sending me no show later. I simply ignored them. The hostel is excellent, secure, warm, clean and centrally located in Uppsala.

Stayed for 5 days in a 1 person room. Ground floor room facing the parking lot. Pro’s: Can walk to central Uppsala in 15-20 minutes. Clean. Everything needed for simple cooking (including a freezer) is available. Not to much noise from co-inhabitants. Functional WiFi. Smooth check-out. Con’s: 1-person room is substantially smaller than photos shown on webpage. There is a window, but it only opens maybe 2-3cm leaving it impossible to air out the room. Be ready for a 10minute walk to the nearest bus stop if you do not have a car. Room at ground floor level means that there is a substantial risk that the view from your (small) window will be looking out directly onto a parking lot- as in a person sitting in the parked car will be 1 meter from your window, necessitating use of the blinds if you want any privacy. Furthermore the parking lot is used by many of the inhabitants as a hangout place for smoking. You may have to make a stop by central Uppsala prior to check-in for payment at the hotel reception at another branch of the hotel depending on your booking method.
