4.4/5
Excellent
We booked three rooms last minute and the owners were helpful and accommodating. Reasonably priced, the rooms were clean and quiet and the kids loved the pool. Within walking distance to Ballina bowlo for a decent feed. Bonus for bird lovers - a really cute friendly parrot lives in reception.
We always try to stay here when passing through Ballina. Highly recommendable hotel. We loved the contemporary room design. We were running late which was no problem for a later check in. We found the facilities were excellent, with everything provided for cooking and personal items. Very well appointed rooms. Nothing to fault.
PPhil N Robbie MMotel was very clean, basic, older, yet updated thoughtfully. Comfy Queen Bed (Rm 1) with good pillows too. Clean pool all in a quiet and private location away from the hustle of the main drag, but only a few blocks (very short drive)away from it. Only a short stroll to Cherry Street Sports Club with a temporary membership deal with Motel made for a great evening meal option. Only negatives were potential trip hazards on room entry and bathroom thresholds and very low toilet height with no handrail for assistance for older or mobility impaired guests.
Great clean Motel in the centre of Ballina, bed was extremely comfortable and rooms were very spacious for my family. Many food options right outside the door. 200m away from the river with lovely family walks to do and great bike paths. Workers are so kind and helped with all my needs. My family loved coming here and would definitely come back.
GGuest UserThe northern rivers region has had a tough few years. Floods, Covid, floods and again.. floods. You could understand if people were tired and short of patience in these situations but.. from the moment I arrived here everyone of the staff were smiles and welcoming . They cannot do enough to assist their guests and are happy to be available. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has all that the average traveller would need. Housekeeping daily and they clean everything . Whilst I was the guest here, it was my privilege to stay. Supporting small regional business is important but to support one that gives 100% to service is a rare treat and I enjoyed my stay.
TTianshimoguaiThe price is not high, a typical motel, suitable for self-driving choice of station.
Location: 30 minutes drive from Byron Bay;
2. Facilities: The decoration is old, but does not affect the use;
3. Others: There is a small town a few minutes drive away, there is a big supermarket, there is a restaurant by the water to watch the sunset super beautiful.
GGuest UserWe spent 4 nights here while in Ballina. Our room (No 12) had a nice view onto the back garden where we could watch the chickens peck away at the garden. The room was very clean and tidy and well serviced and of a good size. The only negative was that the sliding door into the bathroom had a broken track (missing most of the ball bearings) and wouldn't slide. I found one ball bearing on the track and did a bit of a repair so that it had some sliding motion.
The bistro meals are unbeatable value. Friendly service and no wait times even though all the tables were full. Perfect steak every time. The chicken schnitzel nearly bigger than the plate. The whole family was happy! Even won a couple of bucks on Keno.
