Rooms are cozy and ours was quite large. Room was clean and breakfast (served at the table, no buffet) was good and seemed home made. Our room didn't have curtains for privacy or to make the room dark at night, that's just good to know.

Ein stilvoll renoviertes Schwarzwaldhaus mit Holzdecken etc. Lage umwerfend, Restaurant französisch top-notch, tolles Frühstück inklusive. Zimmer eher einfach aber wunderbar rustikal. Anreise mit Auto empfohlen, genügend kostenlose Parkplätze vorhanden. Eine Unterkunft zum Entspannen. Personal sympathisch, geht auf alle Wünsche ein (in unserem Fall z.B. ein vorgezogenes Frühstück).

We had an excellent overnight stay. Parking was adjacent to the property and convenient to our room. Breakfast was very good. Warm welcome and friendly conversation, took time to give us advice on travel into Freiburg. We took the tram which was excellent, only a few stops into city centre from village short distance away. Perfect location, peaceful location close to city transport links. We would have used the restaurant but we were visiting friends who live in the same village.

In Horben gelegen mit einem tollen Ambiente haben wir im Raben unsere kleine Hochzeit gefeiert. Wir waren wegen der Hochzeits-Pärchen-Fotos eine halbe Stunde zu spät - Melanie und Pierre, die herzlichen Pächter seit April 2024, haben souverän darauf reagiert und alles wurde unkompliziert und flexibel gehandhabt. So wurde unser besonderer Tag nicht getrübt. Obwohl wir nur 6 Personen insgesamt waren, wurde für uns ein traumhaftes vegetarisches 5-Gänge-Hochzeits-Menü zubereitet und auch unsere zwei nicht-vegetarischen Gäste waren begeistert (Favorit: das Risotto und das vegane Mandelmousse). Der Service war professionell und freundlich - der Küchenchef stellte sogar persönlich die einzelnen Gänge vor. Die Weinkarte ist exzellent und beinhaltet nicht nur französische Weine, sondern auch edle Weine aus Weingütern der Umgebung. Preis-Leistung war exzellent. Kurzum, ich kann das Restaurant Zum Raben uneingeschränkt für kleine Hochzeiten wie die unsere empfehlen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis und wir werden spätestens zu unserem ersten Hochzeitstag wieder dort vorbeikommen!
