Popped in for lunch unplanned, food was delicious. I can recommend Calamari, chilli beef Nachos and the fish and chips. Thanks to the lovely friendly Joanne who served us. We will be back!

Came here on Fridqy and had the fish and chip, they were lovely, however the guy behind the bar with the glasses, was extremely off hand and alot of huffing and puffing. We came back on Monday for food and drinks after being told that the kitchen was serving until 830, we decided to order at 7, to be told that the kitchen was now closed!!! After they were advertising the hopeshow after party, disappointed to say the least. You would have thought with it being hope show they would have forseen how busy they would have been....clearly not.

Myself and a friend stayed here as our resting point from a gig at Peak Cavern. Such a beautiful building, steeped in history. But to top it off all of the staff were great, had such a laugh with them all in the evening and will definitely be returning again. There's a part of me that will remain on the rafters of that place.

Well, absolutley fantastic. The staff are very welcoming, the food is very good. High regards to the chef who is on in the morning. His delivery and attention to detail is so professional. I would recommend here in the morning. Even can have free refils of coffee.

Went in with friends for a drink, there was a customer complaining about items missing from their food order, they were really unhappy and asked to see the manager. The complainant was very intimidating and followed the manager around when they were unhappy with the reimbursement offered. The manager was professional at all times. We all make mistakes but the complainant’s behaviour wasn’t very nice but thankfully a difficult situation was handled professionally by the manager.

Had a meal there tonight absolutely awful, would definitely not recommend eating here , starter was very average we then both ordered liver and bacon , when they gave us our meals there was no bacon , which they gave us half way through our meal and said they forgot about it the liver was awful the bacon looked like it was microwaved from the mornings breakfast

A walkers hostelry.
Staff very welcoming and pub busy due to arrival of off road bikers and a motor cycle group- who remained outside and were no problem.As only pub open a number of locals and small folk music group present. Room a bit dark as property very old and en-suite rather basic. Carpets on stairs to rooms need replacing. Breakfast was limited due a problem however again staff very good.

Stopped in for a drink and lunch following a walk. Nice location and outside area in the centre of Hope. Sadly in the end we just had a quick drink as the barman made me feel that getting a drink was a bit of an effort so we moved on! Would go back as the location is nice and maybe he was just having an off day.
