It was the best hotel I've stayed at in Hawaii. The stylish lobby was so comfortable that I wanted to sit on the sofa all day, and the room was just the right size for two people. We requested a room on a high floor, so we got a room on the top floor. The lanai was also spacious, and the view from the 9th floor was amazing, with Diamond Head and the ocean.
The air conditioner in the room broke, but they fixed it right away, which was great.
The restaurant in the hotel was also delicious.
The eggs Benedict, which is well-known, and the pancakes were the best for me.
Even if you don't have a breakfast plan, the shop in the hotel has a wide variety of snacks such as sandwiches, so it's a good idea to buy them and eat them in your room.
At the beach, there were few people and it was quiet, so we were able to spend a very meaningful time.
However, there are no Japanese staff, so if you are not familiar with English, it may be difficult to deal with any problems that arise.
Still, they explained things carefully so that Japanese people could understand, so I could see their sincerity.
I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I have been thinking about my review for over a week now, since I returned from my 10-day stay at the Kaimana Beach Hotel. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Chad, a friendly and knowledgeable guest clerk who secured my room, assisted me with my baggage, and discussed the amenities available for use (such as chairs and towels) as well as the local culture and traditions to be mindful of. The room was great, overlooking the ocean and the Waikiki skyline at night. The sunsets were stunning, and the staff were attentive. The food was outstanding, and the beach was groomed nightly. I strongly recommend considering the Kaiman Beach Hotel for your stay in Hawaii. It is close to Diamond Head and only about a 1.2-mile walk to Waikiki. The valet parking staff were also very attentive. This hotel was busy as I was there for a family wedding, and they handled everything flawlessly.

Kaimana Beach Hotel is a great location away from the masses of Waikiki and is walkable to the base of Diamond Head and cool nearby residential neighborhoods. Our room was pretty tiny but cute and very quiet. Loved the fresh mid century modern meets Hawaii vibe of lobby. But the property needs a refresh. Ditch the dated granite in the bathrooms, replace carpeting in rooms and elevator, and definitely redo the lanai flooring! Ours was black and sticky. Bonus points for Cara, the sweet lei making instructor who draped my husband and I in heavenly plumeria as we checked out. Also, room service was great! Food was hot and the fries were the best I’ve had in a long time. Don’t miss the coconut cake. We will be back and hoping to see a sparkling lanai.

We have been coming here from NY for over 30 years and we would never consider any other hotel. It’s a fabulous mix of genuine local hospitality (we are from Honolulu) and welcoming to tourists. Rooms, beds, common spaces are great, and service is excellent and “authenticity friendly”.

The Kaimana is officially one of my favorite places to stay in Oahu. The staff are amazing, the retro remodeled look is fun and the food at Hau Tree is off the hook. My adult daughter lives on Oahu and I visit often. I will be revisiting this property several times over the coming years. What a great place to stay!!

The hotel is in a wonderful location on the beach, just outside of the bustling Honolulu downtown area, with a stunning view of the ocean, great service, very good food in the restaurant right on the beach, great rooms—everything was simply perfect!

The Kaimana Beach Hotel has been are usual Honolulu destination since 1980. It is located on the beach at the peaceful end of Waikiki next to Kapiolaani Park and near Diamond Head on a white sand beach. It offers a piece of old time Hawaii. The Hau Tree Resraurant is located next to the beach and offers wonderful traditional meals, drinks, and excellent service.
