The higher floors are relatively quiet and clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. The only drawback is that it took some time to find the front desk on the first visit. You need to take the escalator down to the first basement floor to check in. As the building is a mixed-use commercial and residential one, there is a distinct smell of cooking in the corridors. The decoration is rather old-fashioned. If you drive, you have to go down to the ground floor from the garage and then take the elevator to your room.

The room condition was good considering the old building. Personally, I think it was because it was an ocean view, so the view from the room was great. The staff was friendly and helped me check in early, which I was very grateful for. There was a Korean mart, 7/11, and Paris Baguette right next to the hotel, so it was convenient. The airport is also easily accessible by taking city bus number 20.

Booked this hotel for business trip since our venue is accross the hotel, very strategic. This is an old hotel but the room facilities are quite complete and the rooms are super large, around the hotel complete with restaurants and supermarkets but one day after our arrival we were unlucky the hotel was under maintenance for water system from morning until night the water didn't flow so we had to wait until midnight to take a shower.

The location is great but the building is unsatisfactory. We spotted a small roach in the room, and a large roach in each the hall and in the elevator. The hallways smell musty and everything could use a paint coat. The pool is unpleasant but serves its purpose. You have to switch elevators to get to and from your room from parking and pool. Staff is only available 9am to 5pm. Its truly not worth the price, but also not the worst place you could stay. Also, security does manage the homeless population well, so I will say it is safe.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. I also liked the fact that they had security on the ground floor. Also I liked the fact that we had to use a key in the elevator to get to our room which made me feel safe.

Nice place in a great location. Bishop street is close enough to everything for easy access but far enough away from Waikiki that you aren't bombarded by it. Beds are super comfortable; we slept surprisingly well. There is a small kitchenette in the room, which is always a plus. 5 stars for that hot water and water pressure! For a bonus, it was nice to walk across the street and see the nesting fairy terns in the trees.
