150 km northeast of Kajaani, 75 km southeast of Suomussalmi, the cottage is located close to the Russian border (1.5 km) in Kuivajärvi, Finland's only inhabited Viena Karelian village. Small Kuivajärvi 20 m (lake length 1 km, width 0.5 km), connection to Kuivajärvi (length 2.3 km, width 1 km), shallow beach, rocky bottom, pier, rowing boat. Large, hand-carved log cabin, built in 1964, renovated in 2015, large living room, kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2-3 beds in each room (rooms updated in 2023, new beds and bedding), sauna (electric stove), washroom with whirlpool bath and 2 showers , dressing room and lounge, meeting and exhibition space. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs, the sauna facilities are in the basement. The kitchen is equipped with large kitchen appliances, cheerful hot and cold serving tables for serving food. Beach sauna 40 m, steam room (wood stove), fireplace and covered porch. The sauna has a water supply (shower in the sauna), electric heating and electric light. Own boat launch and fire pit on the beach. Pirti's equipment also includes TV / DNA Hub, and wireless internet (Wi-Fi, 150Mt). Domnan Pirtti is also suitable for peaceful vacations in beautiful Viena Karelian village. Nearby there are for example Orthodox chapel of St. Nicholas (church, 150 m), Kuivajärvi outdoor dance hall (200m) and Hietajärvi heritage house (3,5 km). 120 km north of Kajaani. Lake Pesiönjärvi 35 m (length 8 km, breadth 5 km), shallow water, firm clay bottom. Own boat. Log cabin 1991, living room/kitchen, bedroom with 2 beds, sleeping loft (15 m² with low room height) with 2 mattresses (steep stairs), washroom, sauna (electric sauna stove), open veranda. Smoke sauna by arrangement. Fish stocks in Lake Pesiönjärvi: perch, roach and pike. 165 km north of Kajaani, L.Piispajärvi 10 m (length 7 km, width 2 km), shallow, soft and stony silt bottom, own boat. Log cottage 1998, living room/kitchen, bedroom double bed, sleeping loft double bed, sauna (wood-burning stove), washroom, separate WC, open porch, balcony. Additionally, 2 moveable extra beds which can be sited as required. Separate lakeshore sauna 10 m, with ‘steam room’ (wood-burning stove and hot water tank on stove) and open porch. Jetty next to sauna. Lakeshore sauna has neither water pipe nor electricity. Log cottage with all conveniences, located right on lake shore. 2 fish nets and 2 “katiska” fish traps with licences, as also trident fishing gear, can be used by customers. Owner can arrange hunting services and permits, seine net fishing and trolling, also excursions to Hossa area.

170 km north of Kajaani, Lake Juntusjärvi 30 m (length 4 km, width 2 km, connected with Lake Kiantajärvi, so that total length is over 50 km), shallow shore, hard stony sand bottom, own boat. Log cottage (laminated log type) 2010, living room/kitchen, sleeping alcove (folding door) 2 beds, Upstairs/sleeping loft 2 beds and 2 mattresses, sauna (wood-burning stove), washroom, open porch, balcony. Separate lakeshore sauna 36 m², distance 20 m, »steam room« (wood-burning stove, hot water tank on stove), room with fireplace 2 extra beds, open porch. Lakeshore sauna has electric light and water pipe in summer. Log chalet in quiet location on shore of large lake. Customers can also use a second boat on a wild river in the Martinselkonen wilderness area. Meal services, spoon trolling, hunting, berry and mushroom picking trips, and other programme packages can all be booked from the owner. Snowmobile available for rent through the owner. The owner makes a ski track from the cottage, about 5 km long. Ruhtinansalmi church 3 km, Kalmosärkät (prehistoric settlement) 5 km, Hossa fishing and hiking area 35 km, Martinselkonen protected area 5 km, bear watching and photographing location 10 km. There are cages and dog houses on the yard and some pets might have been in sauna building. However, it's not allowed to bring pets inside the cottage.
