The ocean was average, the swimming pool was crowded

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay! The lobby was beautiful. The room was great, a little unclean, but great. The beach was easy to access. The pool was nice, a little not kid friendly, but nice. Yes the elevator took forever and the valet was slow but I understand that. It was no problem for us! Only thing that I would say we didn’t like was how expensive everything was.

Family of four in two bedroom condo. Very clean, neat but the same issues as others mentioned. Here you go: 1) elevators are grossly insufficient for building size (10” waits) 2) noise level; condo is next to fire department and an elevated expressway. You absolutely hear sirens (even with all doors closed) and loud exhaust (so many Lambos!) 3) ridiculous rules around beach chairs (2 per room regardless of occupancy; I tried to pay for more and was declined) 4) this is not true VRBO unless the “O” means management company; no internet, malfunctioning tvs, zero support.) 5) they sell day passes to anyone that wants to come hang out at the pool; no, I don’t want to hang out with just anyone. I paid a ton for some exclusivity. 6) non-existent beach 7) best burger ever at their restaurant 8) gym was so-so 9) got in pool once for a five day stay 10) had to wear bracelets that we were asked to wear super loosely for fear of forty lashes on the back; lose your towel card- another forty lashes 11) VRBO nuisance fees were beyond nuts. Wasn’t worth the five grand. Should have stayed at a hotel and gotten real service.

If you thinking about staying here.....DON'T!! If you're already booked, I highly recommend finding somewhere else!! Our family had the worst experience with the staff at the Hyde. We booked a private condo through Air Bnb and while the condo itself was perfect, the rest of the resort was not. I have never, ever been made to feel less welcome or less appreciated by the staff of any place I have ever visited. Our arrival was delayed due to issues at Budget rental cars and when we arrived at 1:30 am we were subjected to the most unfriendly, threatening, dissertation but the woman working at the Owners Desk. She spoke to us as if we were children with a long list of all the "Fines" we could expect to incur being there: "You will be given a bracelet, if you lose this bracelet, you will be fined" "If you're anywhere on the property without the bracelet, you will be fined" "If you tighten the bracelet and it has to be cut off, you will be fined" "You will be given a plastic card in an envelope, if you lose this card, you will be fined". "You will need to give the card to the pool attendant, if you fail to get the card back, you will be fined" "If you do not return the card in the envelope, you will be fined" "If you do not return the pool towels, you will be fined" Valet-"You will be given a blue cardboard notecard, if you lose this, you will be fined" "You have to text us to get your car (amount of time for us to get your car will vary from 2 minutes to 45 minutes) but if your car sits here too long once retrieved, you will be fined". The Pool and Beach attendants were also extremely rude and obnoxious. We tried using the pool first, only to find out that Hotel guests and people who rent units through Air Bnb are basically third class citizens. There was about 1/3 of the pool area open to the dregs like us so we made our way down to the windy end of the pool and set up. Apparently, the wind had blown the "Owners" only sign down and we were quickly and rudely ushered down to the overly full end of the pool. We returned our towels and picked up the precious card so as not to be fined and headed to the beach. My son had already removed his shirt and applied sunscreen and we were quickly shut down when we attempted to walk through the lobby, of course, it was another fineable offense. There were many lounge chairs set up and empty, so we turned over our precious card and got towels, interrupting at least 5 hotel employees looking at their phones and yucking it up with each other, and we were told to sit in the designated not owners section. They had really conveniently set up the chairs lined up in rows so we had a lovely view of the seats in front of us vs. the ocean. There were three of us and when I attempted to sit in an additional chair, I was quickly admonished by a very snarky towel attendant that it didn't matter how many seats were empty, one unit ONLY got two chairs. I offered to move, if and when they

Best family staycation we’ve had in Florida! Room was modern and beach views were amazing! Best place to celebrate my mother in-law’s 70th birthday for a week full of fun in the sun, beach and exquisite food. We will be coming back and trying some of the restaurants we weren’t able to enjoy.

Desiree at the front desk was welcoming and helpful, and my room/view was beautiful. The hotel was decorated for Halloween which was cute. The location was great but parking and valet seemed chaotic

hallandale Beach Upon arrival the checkin process was extremely slow. Once arriving in the unit, Toilet pre stinks like someone had already used it to poop. I’m not really sure how Airbnb work as I am typically a hotel person for many reasons including all these listed but No water for guest. The Exit door on my floor that will not shut completely and that made me uneasy. There are instruction given on pool access, etc… but once arriving to the 9th floor there’s not ONE sign that tells you where the pool or restaurant is. I actually ran into someone with the same issues Friday afternoon. None of the tvs work properly. I have video of how it moves along with no backs to the remotes, etc Elevators are jammed packed after taking ten yrs to come. There are so many rules when comes to the pool area. No outside drinks UNLESS in tumblers discreetly etc. I was called out Thursday but Friday watched a bunch of outside drinks be consumed. Lastly, this unit is poorly maintained the floors are cracked and outdated and the entire unit was not cleaned throughly. It’s not worth the price charged at all! Not accommodating at regarding checkout time and the use of amenities after check out. I travel a lot and yes the hotel or front desk will hold your belongings while to still have access to the pool, beach and restaurants. The first red flag was booking a place that’s non refundable. I work too hard for my money as we all do in this economy. I was offered a discount for my next stay. There won’t be one at all.

Beautiful condo but awful check in and check out and the beach is NOT easily accessible. You have to walk through the hotel lobby in and out of a public hallway to make it to the beach minutes away. And your “private” beach isn’t “private”. It’s closer and less crowded at the “public” part of the beach. Oh, and BTW, you’re really in Hallandale Beach, not Hollywood.

The condo was at the height of multiple noisy cooling machines. The sofabed was just disgusting.
