If you thinking about staying here.....DON'T!! If you're already booked, I highly recommend finding somewhere else!! Our family had the worst experience with the staff at the Hyde. We booked a private condo through Air Bnb and while the condo itself was perfect, the rest of the resort was not. I have never, ever been made to feel less welcome or less appreciated by the staff of any place I have ever visited. Our arrival was delayed due to issues at Budget rental cars and when we arrived at 1:30 am we were subjected to the most unfriendly, threatening, dissertation but the woman working at the Owners Desk. She spoke to us as if we were children with a long list of all the "Fines" we could expect to incur being there: "You will be given a bracelet, if you lose this bracelet, you will be fined" "If you're anywhere on the property without the bracelet, you will be fined" "If you tighten the bracelet and it has to be cut off, you will be fined" "You will be given a plastic card in an envelope, if you lose this card, you will be fined". "You will need to give the card to the pool attendant, if you fail to get the card back, you will be fined" "If you do not return the card in the envelope, you will be fined" "If you do not return the pool towels, you will be fined" Valet-"You will be given a blue cardboard notecard, if you lose this, you will be fined" "You have to text us to get your car (amount of time for us to get your car will vary from 2 minutes to 45 minutes) but if your car sits here too long once retrieved, you will be fined". The Pool and Beach attendants were also extremely rude and obnoxious. We tried using the pool first, only to find out that Hotel guests and people who rent units through Air Bnb are basically third class citizens. There was about 1/3 of the pool area open to the dregs like us so we made our way down to the windy end of the pool and set up. Apparently, the wind had blown the "Owners" only sign down and we were quickly and rudely ushered down to the overly full end of the pool. We returned our towels and picked up the precious card so as not to be fined and headed to the beach. My son had already removed his shirt and applied sunscreen and we were quickly shut down when we attempted to walk through the lobby, of course, it was another fineable offense. There were many lounge chairs set up and empty, so we turned over our precious card and got towels, interrupting at least 5 hotel employees looking at their phones and yucking it up with each other, and we were told to sit in the designated not owners section. They had really conveniently set up the chairs lined up in rows so we had a lovely view of the seats in front of us vs. the ocean. There were three of us and when I attempted to sit in an additional chair, I was quickly admonished by a very snarky towel attendant that it didn't matter how many seats were empty, one unit ONLY got two chairs. I offered to move, if and when they
