Holiday Inn FT. Lauderdale-Airport

It is a great spot to stay in and it is clean . I would recommend it

Hotel is a bit old & needed a renovation, if you don’t have a car with you, you just got stuck in the hotel with nearby one petrol kiosk to get your drinking water, a McDonald's & a Danny to feed your tummy. Shopping center that Aventura Mall needs to book a Uber, can be pricey at US$30 per way.

Terrible experience!! The hotel is run down and dirty. Additionally, we were traveling with a family of six (6) and had reservations to stay there the night before our cruise left. I reserved three (3) rooms in my name, since I hold the IHG card. My sister and elderly parents (80 & 82) were checking in before me. I called the hotel the day before to let them know and confirm it was not an issue for them to check in without me and gave the front desk their names. When my sister and tried to check-in, the General Manager - Michael Gillmer - refused to let them check-in until I arrived. I was not going to arrive until later that evening. When my sister advised the General Manager that I had called ahead and confirmed with the front desk that it would not be an issue, he was short with her and advised her it didn't matter. He had to see my ID. When my sister advised that she was traveling with my elderly parents and was there some way to work around the issue, he told her to leave the premises since she wasn't the name on the reservation. He further advised that he would call the police if she and my elderly parents did not leave the premises immediately. He then refused to refund my points and money paid for the three (3) rooms. My sister had to drag my elderly parents, suitcases and all, to another hotel nearby - Hampton Inn, Las Olas. The Hampton Inn was wonderful. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and DON'T stay at this Holiday Inn..........stay at the Hampton Inn down the street!! Valerie Jennings.

Decent hotel but pricey for the mixed dated ambience. Family stay after a cruise. There’s a fee to check in early before 4pm. $50 fee or $25 if you’re a member, just sign up free online or you can wait at front or by pool. Was not offered any complimentary bottled waters. There was a small self serve water dispenser with the paper cone cups in the corner. Kids eat free but this isn’t the typical self serve buffet style found at most Holiday Inn hotels. We ordered off a breakfast menu and it’s decent sized portions but not flexible for kids to pick and get drink/food refills. They were excited to press a button to make their own pancake/waffle but they don’t have this here. We were very surprised how they track tickets for the complimentary breakfast, we paid for it and never got tickets. She had to check with the manager despite it showing on my app invoice. Room 304 was tidy and clean enough. Elevators are dark and dated but worked and no weird smells. Pool was nice, water fall worked well and water was clean. Hot tub was small, pool towels were really small and never seemed stocked, we kept asking front desk for them. All staffed was pleasant enough and helpful. Only McDonald’s, Denny’s and gas station walkable nearby.
