Hotels in Hohhot Railway Station/Hailiang Square/Xinhua Square, Hohhot

Conveniently located. 5 mins walk to mrt station and a row of good restaurant just outside mrt station. Great city view. I love the the city and people here. Will be back. Downside, my room smells like cigarette smoke. I’m sure if I request to change the room, they would but I was too tired too. Service staffs are very warm and friendly.

On my second visit to Hohhot, I chose a hotel near Xinhua Street Subway Station. Its location was excellent and easy to find. The facilities were well-appointed, and the cleanliness was impressive. Considering it's peak tourist season in Inner Mongolia, paying under 400 RMB a night in a provincial capital city felt quite reasonable, especially compared to hotels in my hometown where holiday prices often skyrocket, making them unaffordable. Getting to attractions like Kuan Alley and Dazhao Temple was also incredibly convenient, whether by subway and bus, or by taking taxis and shared e-bikes.

The butler service from JET Yan and Justin Yao was exceptional. They proactively anticipated my check-in needs and had the room prepared perfectly according to my requests. The room itself was clean, spacious, and featured incredibly soft and comfortable bedding and linens. I particularly appreciated the bathroom's three-fixture layout, with a separate bathtub, toilet, and shower area. As a thoughtful touch, we received a complimentary, high-quality, and very cute small camel plush toy. Another convenient feature was the ability to replenish mineral water from dispensers located in the elevator lobbies each evening. Both check-in and check-out processes were seamless, with no queues or unnecessary delays. The Sheraton standard of quality was consistently evident throughout my stay. Although the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Hohhot Station, it was remarkably quiet at night, ensuring a restful sleep.

I had a great night sleep. Love the bedding, they were very conformable. Receptionist is polite and helpful. They upgraded my room. Room is spacious and has everything you need. The bath tub was amazing. Although I only stayed 1 night, was very happy with my stay.

Had problem with breakfast. Had booked it in the hotel cafeteria days before but on the last day the cafeteria was not working. Staff tried to get us breakfast from the in-house hot pot restaurant but it was not working too. Since we had a flight early we had to leave for the airport without eating anything. Otherwise pretty good location and had more than enough amenities. It is only 10min walk from the main shopping square and 20min walk from Manduhai garden.

This praise is for the uncle who picked me up at the airport. The flight was delayed and he waited for me for a long time. It was already past 12 o'clock when I arrived at the hotel. When I entered the hotel, I felt that the facilities were very good and grand. The room was large and well decorated, but the hygiene needed to be improved. It was not worthy of such high-end decoration. First of all, there were stains on the mattress. At first I thought it was a problem with the sheets. I asked the staff to change the sheets again, and then I saw that it was a pool of stains on the mattress. There were also unknown hairs under the sheets. The quilt cover and pillowcase were not white. Because I was too tired, I slept for a night. I hope the hygiene quality can be improved.

The room was quite clean, and while the decor showed its age, it didn't feel outdated. There were more hooks than in typical hotels, which made it very convenient to hang clothes and bags. The window soundproofing was excellent; as a light sleeper who is genuinely sensitive to noise, I barely heard any outdoor sounds once I was in the room. There was also no peculiar smell when I turned off the air conditioning. Crucially, I didn't see any bugs or get bitten by mosquitoes during my stay. The mattress was neither too soft nor too firm, offering good support. I usually prefer a firmer bed, so this one was just right – definitely much better than those so soft you feel like sleeping on the floor. I really liked the hotel's location. Right downstairs, next door, is a large sports field, and just past the field is Qingcheng Park. A short stroll from there takes you to Kuanzhai Alley, which was perfect for someone like me who loves to walk around. Breakfast was quite plentiful. They offered shaomai (steamed dumplings) and milk tea; I ended up eating 7 shaomai! 😂 The milk tea was unremarkable, but I much preferred the soy milk. The cheese selection was a bit limited, seemingly only cheddar and Gouda. I didn't see any other varieties. Service-wise, it's a matter of personal opinion, I suppose. The staff I encountered were all quite young and didn't come across as particularly warm or enthusiastic. However, their service quality and efficiency were definitely on point. They were helpful in solving problems; for example, when I called for earplugs close to 11 PM, they were delivered to my room within minutes. A minor downside was that food delivery couldn't come directly to the room; I had to go downstairs to the lobby entrance to pick it up. I stayed at three different hotels over three nights in Hohhot, intending to compare them all. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it's highly likely I'll choose to stay here again next time I visit.

It's okay to stay one night for a business travel. great location

The room was excellent, and breakfast was provided. The surrounding area is very lively, with abundant dining, entertainment, and shopping options. It's truly a bustling downtown hub, boasting a wide array of malls, shopping centers, and restaurants. Free parking is a plus. I found many restaurants right below the hotel; the barbecue place was particularly fantastic, and their shaomai were delicious! When I extended my stay for a second night, I even received a room upgrade and a discount.

I primarily chose this hotel for its revolving restaurant on the top floor. It seemed quite busy with many guests. The standard room, typical of other Hampton by Hilton properties, was rather small, but the cleanliness was satisfactory. Its location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from General's Mansion. However, this particular location meant that taking a taxi often involved some traffic congestion. The entrance is right under an overpass, and the roads nearby are narrow, sometimes requiring a detour, which wasn't particularly convenient. Breakfast offered a decent variety, though it wasn't overly lavish. The breakfast area was very crowded; I suspect many shared my idea of enjoying the view from the revolving restaurant while eating. But when it's that crowded, the 'scenery' quickly became the other guests! My kids found it quite exciting on the first day, but by the second day, the novelty had worn off. Overall, I was satisfied. The service was excellent; the front desk staff kindly froze some dairy products for us in their fridge, and they were very patient when I needed to retrieve them for my child midway through our stay. The room rate was quite reasonable and offered good value for the overall experience. A quick heads-up: there are two Hilton hotels in Hohhot, so make sure you don't go to the wrong one. I actually had an experience where I hailed a taxi and just said 'Hilton,' which took me directly to the other property. I didn't pay much attention at first, but the further we drove, the more I realized something was wrong, and sure enough, upon arrival, I confirmed it was the wrong hotel, haha.
