I thought Hanggai is an old youth hostel with a strong youth hostel culture, but in fact it may just be old. The stairs are narrow and the voice-controlled lights are not very sensitive. I personally feel it is a bit dangerous. The shower water in the bathroom is very small. The bedding was uncomfortable and old. There is no drinking water provided. There is a kettle in the kitchen for boiling water, but there is a lot of scale. Anyway, I was thirsty late at night and ran out to the grocery store to buy mineral water. It is completely self-service, and you can't see the boss or the staff or the cleaning staff. If water spills on the floor in the bathroom on the third floor, you have to run to the bathroom on the first floor to get a mop to mop the floor. I feel a little speechless when I see this. The overall feeling is that the boss does not show any passion for the youth hostel business. There is no sign that the owner has considered the comfort of the guests at all. I always stay in youth hostels when I go out to play, and I don’t have very high requirements for them because they are cheap. However, Hanggai really made me feel that I have to say something in the comment section. Today I changed to another youth hostel in Hohhot. The bedding was comfortable and clean, and the environment was also clean. Although it was in an apartment building, I felt that the owner was very attentive, and the bathroom and accommodation area were very clean and tidy. Although it is not as good as those big youth hostels, I can feel that the boss is really dedicated to the service and running the youth hostel.
