This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We waited a full hour, from midnight to 1 a.m., before being allowed to check in. The entire process was infuriating and speechless. I presented the "Foreigner Visa Application Receipt" issued by the Exit-Entry Administration, which officially proves my passport's legal status during my visa renewal application in Beijing. However, upon seeing it, one of the receptionists simply said, "What's that?" Her tone was filled with disdain and impatience, demonstrating a complete lack of service awareness and a complete lack of understanding of national policies. They didn't attempt to verify the information or check the system, but instead called a man to explain the situation. During the call, when they said we might call the police, I heard him blurt out "F**k!" This reaction was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, and it completely disappointed me. They said the other party meant that the system required a passport scan before allowing check-in. When my girlfriend and I sat down to discuss whether to call the police, she noticed that the two receptionists had returned to their seats, playing on their phones. They hadn't proactively followed up and showed no desire to resolve the issue. We waited for a full hour, completely on our own. We ultimately called the police. Upon arrival, the police confirmed that the yellow slip we presented was valid, and the hotel finally allowed us to check in. Afterwards, the front desk explained that their system requires scanning original passports and cannot recognize other documents. But I want to emphasize: **You can have your own system, but you must follow the law. **This is an official document issued by the China National Exit and Entry Administration and is legally binding. A flawed system design doesn't give you permission to ignore the law. I've stayed at many Atour Hotels, and the service has always been excellent, and the staff are professional and responsible. However, this one not only offered indifferent service and evasiveness, but also lacked basic legal awareness and adaptability. In summary: This isn't a system issue, but a serious lack of hotel management and staff training. A full hour of waiting was met with a disrespectful, unprofessional, and illegal reception process. I strongly do not recommend this hotel, especially for late-night arrivals. This hotel is extremely unreliable.
