African Rock Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way! Exceptional hospitality, impeccable attention to detail, and delicious food made our stay truly unforgettable. This cozy, well-maintained gem offers perfectly coordinated safari and bush walk, game reserve and more experiences without being pushy. Highly recommend !!

Exceeded our high expectations. The African rock Lodge is a beautifully located incredibly well run boutique Lodge in a mini wildlife estate. Anyone passing through the area should take advantage of staying at this marvelous location. We enjoyed the setting, especially being able to walk around with plains game, rolling through the wildlife estate we chose to have our dinners at the Rock Lodge and were very impressed with the quality of food and the selection. we have stayed at many top-tier private lodges in the Sabi sands and the food here rivals any of the food that we’ve had. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the Greater Kruger area.

We were delighted with African Rock Lodge, with only around 5 rooms, ideal for a quiet peaceful stay in a secure reserve. Great seeing animals wondering around the area. Our room was beautifully fitted out with tastefully authentic African artifacts. The room was exceptionally clean and cleaned every day. The cook for the Braii was excellent and never tasted such soft flavoured fresh meat (I don't usually eat a lot of meat but could not resist having it. The breakfast was superb with so much choice. Staff are excellent and extremely helpful. The garden area has been so well thought out and everything well kept also the pool was a bonus during the hot weather. The whole lodge is kept exceptionally clean and well decorated in an African theme. The hosts Sander and Juliet are wonderful hosts. We originally booked for 3 days but extended for 7 days!! Thanks again Sander and Juliet hopefully one day we may return. Christine and Mike - UK

Sander and his team were always caring and supported us with very helpful and honest recommendations and organised the tours for us. The lodge was very comfy & clean, food was also very nice ❤️ We enjoyed every minute! Thank you Sander & Juliette & team 🙏🏽

Wonderful place to stay. Situated in a wildlife estate with giraffes, warthogs and antelopes outside the bedroom window, and hushbabies, monkeys and mongoose around the lodge Sander and his family were perfect hosts. The food was delicious and the accommodation was comfortable and very clean.

Juliet und Sander mit ihrem gesamten Team haben uns einen ganz wunderbaren Start in unsere Südafrika Reise bereitet. Ihre Lodge ist großartig, klein und fein. Die Betreuung ist sehr persönlich und auf alle Wünsche wird individuell eingegangen. Sander unterstützt bzw. organisiert Ausflüge und berücksichtigt dabei Wünsche der Gäste. Das Braai ist sensationell und Juliet zaubert dazu tolle Beilagen. Auch die Vorspeisen und Desserts waren sehr lecker. Die Lage der Lodge ist perfekt. Man fährt bis zum Krüger Nationalpark eine knappe Stunde. Wir empfehlen aber jedem, die näher gelegenen Private Game Reserves zu nutzen, die Sander empfohlen hat. Die dort gebuchte Safari war viel individueller und informativer. Wir können die African Rock Lodge nur wärmsten empfehlen und kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder.

Sander and his team made our stay very comfortable and they could not do enough for us. The location and rooms are very nice and breakfast was excellent. We did not have dinner as we were meeting friends in town. We would definitely stay again.

We can recommend. Stayed here on our way to Krüger. It’s situated in a wildlife estate where you can walk or cycle around during the day. At the small lodge you can already observe some wildlife like antelopes, mongoose or if you are lucky even cute bush babies. The food is outstanding. The rooms and everything else is very tastefully furnished. Great showers as well. The pool is small ish but nice and refreshing. The owners are very friendly.
