Our family of 5 (with 3 adult boys 21, 19 & 18), had the most amazing experience at Serondella Lodge. We were literally treated like family and everything about this place was exceptional. The meals, our lodging (Willem's Den), the entire staff, our guides Never & Aubrey (THE BEST!!), our butler Wilfred, Dhumi the night guard who hung out with my boys until the wee hours of the morning :) and the lodge manager Lorna were all beyond phenomenal. We saw the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) on almost every game drive. The watering hole that is right off the main lodge was extra special and very active. Every day while we were eating lunch, we'd see tons of animals (mostly elephants) come for their afternoon drink. We loved the extra touches like breakfast and sunset HH in the bush! My husband and I went to a different lodge in Africa in 2013 for an awards trip for his company and I didn't think that could be beat. This was better! This was a trip of a lifetime that we were blessed to be able to share with our boys. We have the best forever memories and would highly recommend Serondella Lodge to anyone!!

Thank you Serondella for a MAGICAL stay ! You are all wonderful. What a welcome from all of the team, and thank you John and Tumi for bringing much fun to breakfast time with those stunning monkeys. Special thanks also to our incredibly informative guide Never, who is the best driver we have ever met. He got us right beside lions who were sitting in the middle of nowhere. And thank you Aubrey for tracking so many animals - we got the big 5 and so much more. You are a great working team and we can’t wait to come back to visit again. We will miss the stunning food (thank you chef) and the comfortable beds and wonderful luxury and touches that Tania & the team left everywhere for us. Thank you again from all of us. I don’t know where to start- Serondella and the Thornybush Game Reserve is truly magical. The lodge itself is absolutely incredible, the rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing. You feel like family. I wish I could remember every single name but Arnold, Tanya, Star, Lorna, the porters and every person we met were so warm and made our stay so special. The chefs and the food are incredible. Everything is delicious and made with such care. And our guide Mandla and tracker Jeffrey- what a magical team. I know they say it is some luck but they are amazing. We saw the Big 5 and more every day. It was unbelievable and we learned so much. If you are looking for a small, personal lodge in a phenomenal location Serondella is for you. We left a little piece of our hearts there and hope to return someday to this magical place.

Serondella and the staff are truly amazing - we had a large group of friends on safari for 4 nights and everything was exceptional - the food, service, spa, and especially the trackers and guides - were all excellent. Pack light - laundry is done every day and you get to spend a lot of time out on game drives. Highly recommend!

This was our third time at the Serondella and we spent the most magnificent 9 days there. Everything from the stunning accommodations to the food, to the kindness shown us and the beyond professional team was over the top and first class. We have been to Africa 5 times and at this point there is just no need to go anywhere else to experience the wonders of being on safari. When you stay for more than just a few days you really relax and have the time to truly be in the moments of this magical place. My heart will always be on the deck, watching the elephants at the water hole while having the best breakfast. We are counting the days until we can return again. Thank you to everyone at Serondella for making us feel like family. We will cherish our family adventure with you forever.

Serondella exceeded all expectations! The Botsotso suite was impeccable - it was spacious for our family of 5. The beds were extremely comfortable and every little necessity they have thought of. Laundry done daily, turndown service and the food offering was great.kids could sometimes on the heated pools the deck s were relaxing while looking over the watering hole. So accommodating for children. The staff from every aspect were helpful. The game viewing was amazing we got to see all of the Big5 and more. The gin stops were superb and bush breakfast topped the charts. Serondella filled our African bush hearts to the max.

My daughter and I just returned from Africa where we stayed at the Serondella Safari Lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve. It’s hard to put into words how exceptional our experience was. We have been blessed to stay in many fabulous hotels but nothing compares to the personalized service, excellent food, and attentive and friendly staff at Serondella. This is a Five Star place. ( I think it only serves a maximum of 14 guests at a time) The safaris were other worldly ( we saw the big 5 within the first 24 hours), the guide and tracker were knowledgeable and fun. Each morning we were met with hot chocolate (or coffee) and a hot water bottle to keep us warm on the early morning drive. Upon our return we would be greeted with warm towels and, in the evening, a shot of some very tasty beverage. Each day from our room (or our private plunge pool) we could watch giraffes, elephants and rhinos come to the lodge’s watering hole! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Unbelievable, magical and unforgettable!! If you are thinking about Africa, put Serondella at the top of your list.
