GGuest UserI booked this place last minute at the airport, at first I only planned to stay for 1 night then move to a hotel, since I was a bit concerned that there were no reviews yet :)) But once I stayed at Peanuts Home, I felt super comfortable. honestly, it’s the perfect way to explore Saigon. In the end, I stayed here for almost a week :) Below are my thoughts, hope it’s useful
1. Location:
- The home is tucked inside a quiet alley on Calmette Street, very convenient for getting around. You can easily walk to Ben Thanh Market or Bach Dang Wharf to catch the water bus/boat along the Saigon River. Great location, peaceful alley with lots of greenery, and there are two entrances so it’s easy to access. At the alley entrance there’s a noodle shop that was sooo good, i ate there three times!
- There’s also a bank right outside the alley, so withdrawing cash and exchanging money was very convenient.
- Seems like this is a Chinese neighborhood, with plenty of tasty restaurants that really fit my palate.
- And yes, it’s close to Bui Vien walking street (nightlife), but please remember to be quiet when coming back late since it’s a local residential area. The neighbors are super friendly
2. Service:
- This deserves a highlight: the host is very friendly and supportive. I booked at a time when she was free, and since it was just the two of us traveling, we even got to hang out together, so nice huhu. Honestly, I only want to stay here when I come back to Saigon :)
- The room is fully equipped. What I loved most is that even the toothpaste is a proper branded one, not some generic version. Ms. Thu Thuy, the host, said she wants to give guests the best experience and doesn’t like using unbranded stuff.
- The house has a washing machine and dryer, plus detergent and softener are provided, super convenient for longer stays.
- Not sure what fragrance or essential oil they use, but the whole place smelled amazing, like when I stayed at Best Western hotels.
Overall, it was a memorable experience in Saigon. See you soon! Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting SG.
