This hotel is located right next to the Ho Chi Minh statue and is on the main street. The facilities are on the older side, but if you are not staying at a hotel for a long time and are visiting Vietnam for sightseeing or business, I think this hotel will probably be fine.
The room was very spacious and the bed was quite large. There were a ton of power outlets, so you can plug them in without needing a conversion cable. It's good for people who want to charge various things.
If you are used to Japanese body soap, shampoo, and face wash, I recommend bringing a small travel pack. They don't make much foam.
The breakfast was also delicious. They make omelets and pho in the live kitchen.
The facilities are on the older side, but it was a good hotel with no problems at all. The staff were very friendly and had excellent hospitality. Thank you. (^^)

Request to a quiet room upon booking so they will assign you to such so you can relax.
Based on our experience, upon arrival we were assign a room on Rex Hotel side which is too noisy. We then requested to move to a quieter room but was told that only a room with 1 queen bed is available (we booked for a room with 2 beds) to which we accepted. The room seemed not often used but was quiet than our first room. We were then asked if we would like to transfer to another woth two beds the following day which we agreed. We left our bags at the lobby while waiting for the room availability we left the hotel. When we came back we were told that our room was ready and they upgraded it to a bigger room.
They are very approachable and responded to requests as fast as they could.
Breakfast buffet was great.
There are usually events during weekends and they close the roads surrounding the hotel so you need to walk a bit if you arrive or leave during weekends.

The location is great, facing Nguyen Huệ street. There is a McDonald's next door and many other restaurants, so it is very convenient. However, the road in front of the hotel may be closed on weekends and public holidays, so be careful when taking a taxi.

There was an event going on around the time of our stay, and many people related to the event were coming and going. Perhaps because there were many guests staying at the hotel, the breakfast area was crowded, and we had to share a four-person table with five other people. Even though there were more people than the number of tables, there was no guidance or support for where to sit, which was very disappointing as we wanted to eat at our leisure. The service was also not as good as we expected.
The bathtub never filled up with hot water, and it just kept getting thinner.
The TV didn't work from the start, so we had to search for channels and call staff.
Just because it was in a convenient location didn't make for a pleasant stay overall, so we'll stay at a different hotel next time.
