Per the reviews this seemed like the best option for a road trip stop in the Jackson area. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. This is the number one requirement; so if we have to stop in the Jackson area again, we would stay here. The breakfast, however, was pretty minimal. My husband must eat gluten-free so his choices at these complimentary breakfast bars are always limited. Food service eggs and potatoes can be contaminated during production and they are often served alongside biscuits or waffles and thus are not safe to eat. But as long as there are boiled eggs, orange juice, and some sort of fruit, he can manage. Here, they didn’t even have boiled eggs so there was nothing he could eat. They are so easy to provide so I hope they will add them before our next visit.

This was a good choice for our one-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, as were the facility’s public spaces. The staff could have been more efficient both at the front desk and in the dining room, but even that wasn’t a problem. Overall, it was a good stay, and we’ll probably stay here again next time traveling through on I-20.

I had reservations for two rooms. We got there at 4:00. Check in is at 4:00. The man at the check out said that the rooms weren’t ready. It would be 30-45 minutes. I had my 92 year old mother with me. Finally at 5:45 I went and asked were the rooms ready and they said no and they didn’t know when they would be ready. A one and a half hour wait. I said can we cancel and they said yes. We cancelled and went to the Hilton in Madison. It was like night and day. The front desk was as friendly as she could be. The people T the front desk could have cared less about our wait or us. More or less rude. The downtown Hilton smelled like cabbage when we were in the lobby. Not a great smell. My son went to the Mens restroom and said it was disgusting. There is no excuse for nasty restrooms. There were shady people hanging around the front of the hotel. Don’t even think about staying at he downtown Hilton. Lower price hotels beat the downtown Hilton by miles.

The boss is very enthusiastic, the staff is also very enthusiastic, once hungry, go downstairs hot instant noodles, the staff saw it, take some food from the storage room for me

I was traveling from Orlando Florida to Hot Springs Arkansas. My parents have stayed at this property in the past and recommended it to me. I am a semi-retired chef with 45 years experience and 21 years with Marriott. I am glad I did stay here. If you could have milk or water available during breakfast that would be great. I plan to stay here on my way back to Florida.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Excellent front desk attendants and housekeeping. Actually everyone I ran into was very nice. My issue was with the toilet. It ran the entire time I was there. I called the front desk to tell them the water in back was running and it wouldn’t flush because it wasn’t filling up. They sent someone up to repair it, (he was even nice) but whatever he did didn’t work. He had to come back again and it still wasn’t right, but at least it flushed now. We just decided to keep the bathroom door closed so we wouldn’t have to hear the constant sound of water running all night. Other than that, the stay was pleasant. Hotel could use some upgrades. I might stay again if I’m in the area.

This hotel has a severe bed bug infestation. I was waken up out of my sleep to discomfort and itchy skin. I turned the lights on to observe the bed, I found bed bugs were crawling all over the pillows and the sheet in visible view to see. I waited for the manager who was supposed to arrive at 7 am, he did not arrive until 8 am. After explaining to manager that my room(111) had bed bugs, he looked unconcerned about my complaint. I offered to show him pictures I took of the bugs crawling on the pillows and my bites

We use Hampton Inns mostly when we travel. Coming back from FL we booked this one. Sad. Relatively newly remodeled with all the bright colors and minimalist decor….should have been a wonderful stay but was not. Front desk personnel was not friendly (yes, they were busy this night) at check in or check out. The hotel was dirty, with hallways looking like they have not seen a vacuum in a bit and a plastic toothpick found on the floor in our room. Bed was ok and the tv worked, so we slept. But then breakfast…..I only ate toast with peanut butter as I could not think of eating the rest, and the coffee pot ….wondered when it had been cleaned last?? No fruit, these hardboiled eggs were disgusting and the counters were unkept….all in all, not up to the usual Hampton Inn standards. We were definitely one and done here. Sad.
